Double time for Celtic

780

It is nonsense to talk about Hampden Hoodoos, Celtic’s five defeats there since Neil Lennon became manager have been a result of poor performances, not superstition (fighting the urge to mention two last minute penalty decisions).  Celtic were unquestionably the stronger team on four of those five occasions, arguably all five, but they have been tactically out-thought at the national stadium time after time.

We are vastly stronger than Dundee United but once the whistle goes tomorrow, unless we can match them for hunger, arrest the defensive lapses which have blighted us all season, and find the key to breakdown what will be a tight defence, there is no reason to believe the outcome will be any different than when we faced a weaker St Mirren.

Shortly before that St Mirren defeat I said we were not playing consistently to win the treble we were short odds for.  Consistency hasn’t improved much since, which is why you are hearing talk coming out of Lennoxtown about this being the biggest game of the season.

It’s double time….

    if all the info is at company house and in the msm

    would BDO not have had access to this for months plus all the info from duff and phelps?

    unless by some mistake an unpaid internet bampot put all the pieces of the jigsaw together

    while a high paid employee with a degree could not

    or could our hero release even more this week

    FFM @10:40 frets “What’s the licencing laws on a Sunday since the SNP changed things? Can I buy a 6 pack just now, or do I need to get a non-catholic to do it for me??”

    Just stand outside the offy and ask a man to buy it for you.

    Good morning FFM. Haven’t seen much of you lately.

    How are things?

    I’m going up town on Wednesday to attend the funeral.

    Back turned. Naturally.

    I’m anticipating adverse comment.

    Any advice?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Aye.
    Find half-a-dozen like minded souls,which should not be too difficult!-and……
    DO THE HUDDLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Don’t like that line-up. By the looks of things, Celtic going 4-4-1-1, but Lustig and Forrest are a bad choice on the right, as are Izzy/Mulgrew on the left. Vic and Joe haven’t even won 50% of their points when they play in a midfield 4.
    Yuck…
  4. James Forrest returns from injury and goes straight into the team at the expense of Anthony Stokes, who is named among the substitutes.
    Kick-off at Hampden is 12.45pm and there will be live updates of the game on the club’s official Twitter feed: @celticfc
    CELTIC (4-4-2) Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Wilson, Izaguirre; Forrest, Wanyama, Ledley, Mulgrew; Commons, Hooper
    Thanks for your reply earlier. Apologies, I was away to the shop. Just read back.
    I’ve e-mailed Celtic about it.
    Has anyone received their ST renewals yet?
    Certainly wasn’t mentioned at the Hibs game last week.
    St Mirren had said yes and after the now highly questionable Green appears at St Mirren for our recent draw sitting beside their chairman a 180 has been performed.
    I think with the best will in the world that looks dodgy.
    If St Mirren go against it then Boycotts will take place but not in the blanket ban manner.
    Some people refused to go to Kilmarnock this season because of their chairman’s antics last season.
    If you side with a destructive force don’t be surprised if others leave you to get on with it.
    I like St Mirren as a club and as a team and a manager. I simply do not understand the thinking put forward to vote no other than something changed following a meeting with another Chairman.
  8. HH all , hoping for a good game and a Celtic victory today.
    Laughing at one of George Galloway’s story regarding Thatcher and her visit to the Celtic V Dundee Utd final. Apparently one of her advisors is on record stating that the final was the worst possible venue for the Furher to visit in Scotland as it was basically a game between ‘ The IRA and the Dundee labour Club. When the crowd held up thousands of red cards and started singing ‘Maggie shove the poll tax up yer ar*e’ she asked one of her aides what they were chanting – not wishing to offend the Furher the aide replied ‘ they are singing ‘Maggie give the poll tax a chance’. LOL
  9. Yesterday’s game plus this morning’s downpour will make for a heavy pitch.
    A game for the defenders to clear the ball in the direction their noses are pointing.
    Efe.
  10. If 12-12-18 goes through and SFL clubs get to vote on Sevco’s place, why would the other 17 in the bottom league vote the cash cow into a higher league?
    it was stairheedrammy comment i posted a reply to
    regards Leigh Griffiths and Zak Iqbal
    i was not there and do not know about what happened in mcdonalds
    that incident resulted in one person calling the police
    not the police deciding to get involved
    as for manchester a riot was in full swing and crimes where being commited
    the police did not need called
    the could see the damage to property and fighting all around
    the same goes for the wembley incident
    the 200 fans walking peacefully up to celtic park with a few other thousand on a main route to the stadium
    the police were monitoring the fans walking to the stadium
    no fighting no damage to property
    which other illegal march in glasgow has been met will 200 plus police,horses,dogs and a helicopter
    there is an agenda being set high up in goverment
    the police even told the msm they intended to smash the green brigade
    my point was the police and overtime
    on crimes less police
    the police are deciding who to arrest and some are not even minor crimes
    it shows when every time the judge at the courts are starting to question if the police
    even know the law or why they even arrested the person
    its all about the numbers and the money
