Energising offensively

1455

I’ve spoken to many Celtic fans over the last couple of days but I’ve not met one who would have preferred Roy Keane to be our manager instead of Ronny Deila.  Despite some impeccable references, Ronny is a largely unknown character, but there is an appreciation among the support that we need to come up with a plan to enable the club to over-achieve in Europe.

The man’s performance at the media conference was faultless.  It’s not important to quick-witted but his use of words like “energise” and “offensive” is promising.  Football is in the entertainment business and Ronny appears to appreciate the link between the way his team perform, not just their results, and the ultimate satisfaction supporters’ leave the ground with.

Our thanks to the Greenock Celtic Supporters Club for hosting last night’s CQN Lions fundraiser for the Celtic FC Foundation.  We were fortunate to be entertained by Willie Wallace, John Hughes and Bertie Auld, it was a fantastic night, full of laughs.

Special thanks to those who attended and helped raise over £2000 for the Foundation, and to those who promised to get involved with the Foundation.  The club is in good hands with supporters like those in Greenock last night.  Big shout to Joe and Mick for bringing a familiar old friend along.

Everywhere they go it inevitably turns into a barney, fueled by hatred and outright bigotry,

You echo many a thought going thru peoples minds at present

as regards assurances of stability, and continuity of pensions.

As with your previous post regarding the uncertainty of it all,

it seems rather hit and miss.I like you, am concerned only for the welfare

of the family, as many generations before us have been. With 5 grand kids

(2 due in august) my only concern is for them it seems each generation has a big

    decision on their plate. H.H.

    ………………………………………………..

Agree with you totally. It is a very big decision and not nearly as simple and clear cut as many on here would have us believe. What to do in the best interests of family. Decisions.

desertbhoy, that’s another advantage of living in and around this area is the number of places you can travel to by car, as well as train. I have driven to all the Benelux countries, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Denmark and Austria and travelled to some of them by train. Something I would not have done when I still lived in Scotland/England.

    ……………………………………………………………………….

Yes… have done the same.. lived/worked in Hungary circa 8 years… frequent visitor to Vienna as it was only couple of hours drive. Also throw in Venice/Italy and Serbia.

Fuel at that time was cheaper in Europe also.

Only my opinion, but I believe that public figures in sport entertainment are probably best keeping their views on the debate to themselves, lest the be accused of trying to unduly influence people. There are countless examples of (largely naw supporting) celebs who have been subjected to online abuseafter expressing an opinion. Obviously that is unacceptable.

Murray has markedly stayed out of the debate thus far and continues to do so. In mentioning his displeasure at Ecks flag support though, he has sort of dipped a toe in the water and may come to regret it.

    BTW

Salmond is a clown who cant help himself. Suspect he is a liability to the YES campaign overall.
