Festival day for Celtic

328

There’s going to be a Festival atmosphere as Celtic make their home in Edinburgh for the first time tonight. With the away win already secured, and the opposition little more than tourists, we’ll see little of what Ronny Deila has in store for us this season.

Get through early, car pool, or take bus or train, and show Edinburgh what it’s like to have a great team make their home in the city.

  6. Vmhan. You probably missed my question yesterday. If Legia beat St. Pats tomorrow will you be coming over? We could sing A Soldier’s Song together if I learn it.

  7. VMhan, you have one of each saved.

Let me know when you are at CP and we can meet at CQN corner.

Anyone have contact details for Jonny the Tim pass them on please.

I’ve passed on your comments re the OST.

The original was done in a bit of a hurry to get something off the ground.

Added flexibility would obviously make it more attractive and it was about finding out what would attract supporters that the recent marketing sessions were set up. So I’ve directed your comments there.

The fact it took place is a sign that the club are now wakening up to the need to offer the support more ways to support.

A Membership Scheme would help identify all supporters everywhere who might join to play their part in ways that suit them.

    Celtic are catching on.

Thanks. Not up to speed on Auldheid’s spread the load thing. Do you have a link so I can look it up?

  10. SOS text from a Section 113 diehard, looking for a Celtic pub in Lanzarote. Can anyone help?

  11. Auldheid,

they are excellent at some things. Individual, one-off things. For example, my son booked up to go to Iceland (and then Murrayfield) for the qualifiers. Having done all that I got the usual text…’yo, Pops, you can get me sorted with a match ticket. Right?’

I have to say, the folks at Celtic were brilliant.

When it comes to broader, systemic things, they tend to be stuck in the 60’s.

An OST as I have described would be excellent. I’d be willing to bet that sales would go up. But as I said, they never even asked their potential customer base……

I will be retiring early next year and will have lots more time to annoy folk about such things. Beware…..:)

Let’s not forget that Leo Fasan has been promoted to first team status, therefore, that would suggest that one of the keepers will leave.

Earlier rumours had it that Lukasz was seeking pastures new.

Good luck tonight, Celtic on our first home/away game of the season.

  13. shout out to PALACIO67,

just met him in the Port Hibs on route to the game.

Probably first time we have spoken in 20 years, so it was nice.

his is a tale to tell for today.

he was working 1/2 mile from murrayfield, and phoned his bhoy to say, you get the bus yourself and i will get you at the game,

his bhoy said och cmon dad, come home and take me.

i said, och bhoys are no like us when we were wee, the big adventure of going to the games yourself , nae fears.

i said where is your bhoy ………..

    over there ……….

  15. What times kick off tonight, 7.45 or 8?

Do they allow open cans on the trams?

    Should I wear shorts? :O)

Having reread my last post – it reads all wrong.

What I meant to say was..If I can retain Premium Celtic TV then I will happily sign up for an OST.

  17. The signing of Jim Rodriguez means Real Madrids front three – inc Bale and Ronaldo- cost more than Ajax have spent on every single player they have ever bought in their entire history

  18. Sitting here on a sun drenched terrace in the Algarve with a beer in one hand and a fag in the other (well not quite otherwise you’d be worried what I was posting with!) thinking, could life get any better?!

And then I remember that thousands of you are making your way, from near and far, to watch Celtic tonight.

And then I know what would be missing if I stayed here.

  19. Just arrived at the bus stop to catch the CSC to Edinburgh, Hun at the stop with a T shirt. Rangers 1- Taxman 0.
