Kieran Tierney and Aidan Nesbitt will lead a group of six Celtic players in the Scotland u-19 squad to Germany this week.
Ricky Sbragia’s squad will be based in Stuttgart where they will take on the host nation, Mexico and the USA with the opening match coming on Wednesday against Mexico.
Joining Nesbitt and Tierney will be Joe Thomson, Mark Hill, Sam Wardrop and Jack Breslin who have all been involved with Celtic against Benfica and HJK Helsinki over the last fortnight.
You think that Rogers signings were “They sought value, often in young and unproven players who could be considered versatile – although in many cases jacks of all trades who were masters of none.”
I think I can see around 25 full internationalists here. What kind of jack of all trades are Benteke, Ballotelli, Lambert, Markovic, Sakho, Mignolet and Bogdan?

Interesting to read some fans think to give Ronny 5 years. Of course it has merit looking back to alex ferguson and his first two years in Manchester
We will of course win the league this year
But Europe we are going further and further back
The team yesterday is indeed peter lawells team Lack of quality poor defence and not one player brought from our youth academy
Think we can see the players that Ronny has brought in are basically well below the level needed
One thing about Leigh Griffiths. Awesome
The moment I saw him going for that header , I thought goal
But imagine Henrik on his own or mcgarvey on his own
Poor planning We have had 4 years to plan , bring through youths and we get the team from yesterday

He has been here a year and a half and we are going backwards. Our defense is a joke. I here people claim the zonal marking system works best. On theory perhaps in the hands of a good coach!
People need to really have a good look at themselves and consider is there love for the club blinding them into accepting short term rubbish.

Not very often that I would respond to some bait but I will make an exception in your case.
I was back in Scotland in June for 5 days, during the first of those five, I caught up with fellow “stickie”, Delaneys Dunky at the notoriously Hun-lovin Chandlers in Clydebank. I’ve also hosted the notorious Neganon2 down here in Perth, the one who was at CQN10 with all those other “stickies”. Quite a few others on here could personally vouch for my credentials, incidentally, I was at Murphy’s in Mandurah with several other Mandurah CSC Bhoys last night watching the match, I didn’t think we were that clever but I’m happy with the three points.
Now, still think I’m suspect or will I have to roll out some more evidence for you?

Great to see ronnie come out fighting in his interview.
Most of us on here who realise that our managers never get the transfer backing they deserve and rarely get to hold onto their main players should maybe be more understanding when it comes to mistakes, results and performances.
Ronnie is doing decent job for me, frustrated at his subs sometimes but he is trying to improve the football we play and also build good relationship with the fans like the German teams do.

Morning all
Head off to work soon so no access to Data for 12 hours . As much of those 12 hours here will be taken up with tedious name caling among three people who should but do not know better that might be a blessing
Reading some of the posts since I got home from the game I am slightly surprised by the tone of many here and on some other sites. I did not think yesterday was a good match and do wonder about the quality of player brought into the club this summer but it was hardly an apocalyptically bad display- a game we won fairly comfortably in the end- and overall we are better placed than 1 year ago and we played far better against Feberbahce than Dinamo Zagreb (albeit a worse result) so I doubt we are going backwards from a year ago.
Of course we have gone back from just under three years ago and I agree that our owner’s strategy has been wrong and the implemenration of that strategy by PL has made things worse. Our scouting seems to throw up a fair few duds and a diminishing number of gems . On the field we seem a bit stuck in Plan A but a year ago I could not even see that.
Things are not great and a source of frustration but they do not seem to me to be as bad so many seem to think. Its not April 1967 again but nor is it February 2010
