Sevco are currently sitting in 2nd place partly due to the fact that they have not visited ANY of the other top 6 teams more than once. Conversely, every one of the other top 6 teams have already visited Ibrox twice.
In a fair world, the SPFL should appreciate that, with the league all but won, the real competition is for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. So, start by ensuring fairness there – send Sevco to Pittodrie and Easter Road. Oh and it’s surely also fair in that context that all 3 teams have had to visit the home of The Champions twice. Hibs have already done so. So send Sevco and Aberdeen to Celtic Park.
If all of that happens, Hibs could yet have a decent chance of finishing 2nd. Particularly if Celtic visit Easter Road in say the penultimate game, when we need to be careful and protect all our main players for the Cup Final ;-)

We seem to have a problem with the SPFL League decider being a Glasgow Derby, but the SFA flagship trophy game, the Scottish Cup Final. being a Glasgow Derby doesn’t seem to be a problem (apart from for the Huns this year !).
We need to get away from this “Split” nonsense and meantime grow up as a football nation

The problem with the fixtures is the first requirement – All teams must play 19 at home and 19 away
To achieve this some teams must play a third time either away or at home against the same team.
This is secondary to above and I’m sure the teams that lose out are those based on previous year’s relative position.
The SPFL need this guideline to prevent accusations of bias – I know, I know – from the Administration that still insists that Sevco are the same club !
