  1. Go tell the Spartim on

Bada, she’ll be nursing a hangover and cleaning up her firework debris, as for Yousef I couldn’t say

If it walks like a hun, acts like a hun …….. no surprise at a) their behaviour b) plod enjoying the party too and c) how many COVID rules get broken as we all know it’s important that The Rangers get to celebrate their first title win

To the victor the spoils but there is no justification for allowing the hordes to descend on central Glasgow not even if things were normal but then I’m not shocked at their behaviour or the support for it they get from govt and of course coordinated by the Police

It’s over now it’s up to us to give them nothing to crow about.

In response to a few responders I know PL is neither the messiah nor the antichrist but I’ll be glad when he’s out the building (think it was Tontine and Bankie 🍀🍀🍀)

That louden theory didn’t stand up to fact checking even the GCC denied it.

This will be consigned into the unsolved mysteries file, along with our season and why we didn’t act sooner (though I suspect it would’ve meant even longer with JK in charge. I’m hoping for his sake he proves himself elsewhere)

‘I’ll take it as read you acknowledge the UK is not one country, you just pretend it to be.’

    ###

    Scotland is a country.

    The UK is a state.

I’d suggest that if you’re going to carry on spouting pro SNP propaganda on here that you at least try, for your own benefit if for no one else’s, to clarify what is meant by the terms: state, country and nation.

  4. Anyone remember the shame game?

How long did it take Salmond to get involved?

That involvement ended up with legislation that was intended to ‘even up the score’, which was a strange and inappropriate outcome to an event which involved the huns losing the plot and behaving like huns on the pitch.

I wonder what the SNP’s response will be to yesterday’s events and who their target will be this time.

    One Scotland, One Dominant Kulture.

  5. Now I’ve heard it all. Police spokesman says there would have been the same situation whoever won the league. Even excuses the few arrests, although he claims there will be many more.

  6. celticforever on

Only 2 months till the orange walk and then we need to go through all

    that happened yesterday again

probably back in level 4 again by then though

  7. See when some folks question the term Hun – pause for a wee moment and consider the latest series of defining moments……………….

thuv defined thumsels by their actions words and attitudes.

    Huns then, huns now.

    HHH.

  8. Mr Salford……

    Polis sleekitry epitomised.

Thur at it , they know we know thur at it – and they couldn’t care less.

Scotland is happy enough to let thum carry on.

    Excellent post.

Kennedy and Strachan should be shown the door tomorrow before the restructuring starts.

  10. celticforever on

Yesterday in my opinion is what us tims have to look forward to

    if Scotland gets Independence

Obvious differences how we and them are treated by the Scottish

Government and Police Scotland that has never been clearer

    than in the last year

Now I’ve heard it all. Police spokesman says there would have been the same situation whoever won the league. Even excuses the few arrests, although he claims there will be many more.

    ———

The spokesman wasn’t Derek McWhinnie was it?

If defies belief – a law enforcement officer whose Twitter account had an impromptu map of George Square.

The perfect personification of the problem.

  12. I am not sure how often I read on these pages that our players weren`t trying. That being so, is the quote below from a player a lie?

“We gave it everything we could, but we’ve just not managed to get that 10.”

  13. Scotland is not going to change anytime soon. That being so, the only solution to scenes like yesterday plus the obvious bias throughout the season ( SFA;SPFL;MSSM;Referees;Scottish Parliament et al) is to make Celtic a much better side than any other in Scotland. Unfortunately, that would rely on our largest shareholder sharing that viepoint.I have not seen much in the way of evidence that he does.

  14. Hot Smoked,

    Sadly I agree.

I was always of the opinion he was playing to the scoddish gallery. A cute hoor in local patois, but I now doubt that.

I also doubt Dom will be allowed to address our “currant” concerns unless Dermot has had a radical and total re-evaluation of the product he is responsible for.

( my view can change quickly given encouragement from our custodians, but I now have nothing to base that hope on, nothing)

  15. Any preferences for who finishes where this afternoon in the bottom 6?

Mine would be RC getting the point they need at Motherwell, increasing the possibility that Killie follow Hamilton to the championship and two fewer plastic pitches to have to deal with next season.

  16. Lumpy lino has no place in the professional game – apart from training perhaps…..

    Say No To Lino!

  17. Rodgers yesterday…

‘This was my seventh final as a manager and luckily I’ve been able to win all seven.’

I get that it was just at the end of an emotional FA Cup final and he may have been speaking ‘collectively’ but the ego is definitely not showing any signs of abating. Not we, or my teams/clubs…I won all seven!!!

Who will be the first politician to say ‘it was a small minority ?

    11/10 Douglas Ross

    6/4 Humza Yousef

    2/1 John Swinney

    5/2 Nicola Sturgeon

  20. CELTICFOREVER

So no different to what it is now mate.

Heads need to roll for this shame on our country. There has to be an inquiry starting off with sevco and their pathetic token gesture at dissuading there thugs to gather on george square and elsewhere.gerard really is a fly man.

We’re so close to getting back to a more normal life and the cops and the government cave in to these supremist, fascist thugs who are totally classless.

We cant let them win and to hell wi backing down to them.there are many more better people in Scotland than there is scum like that.

Cant see our board getting involved butv we the support once again must demand a total split from any dealings at all with that mob.

That’s not a fair comparison though, is it?

To get a fair comparison you’d have to go back to 1893, when Celtic won their first league title.

  23. WEEK after our Political choices were made and the NEW SCOTHUNLAND looks remarkably like OLD SCOTHUNLAND

Enough Politics what’s our plans to resolve our dire situation we need constructive action now

This season was not the worst i and many others have suffered but it is right up there considering the position of strength we held

We need some inspirational appointments and quick

  24. TONTINE TIM on 16TH MAY 2021 1:33 AM

    I’m being facetious?

You are backtracking, and blaming me for you saying something laughable.

    Try and man up.

You mention the trophies the club has won under Lawwell.

Imagine how many more that could have been if he had went straight to Uefa and mentioned that the rules of association on players not being properly registered and each match being a 3-0 loss were not being applied in Scotland, in order to rightfully claim trophies that were lost to blatant cheating.

Imagine how many more trophies could have been won this season if he had brought in a proper modern manager with sports science after he forced the breakdown of the relationship with Rodgers which led to him eventually leaving due to not signing the players Rodgers had lined up and signing players he didn’t want, then briefing Chris McLaughlin behind Rodgers back because Rodgers spilled the beans about the way Lawwell handles transfers.

  25. No complaints from Celtic about Collum? Oh well, expect more of the same next season.

  26. Go tell the Spartim on

Unconfirmed reports that a hun is in hospital due to blowing part of his hand of with a flare/firework!

The real question is, if he gets an prosthetic hand, can he claim it as the same hand?

  27. !!BADA BING!! on 16TH MAY 2021 12:35 PM

    Yeah, that’s what’s needed. Reflection.

Bottom line is that those scenes yesterday were an expression of part of the weft and weave of Scottish culture. The same strand of Scottishness that threw up the likes of Andrew Dewar Gibb and Billy Wolfe.

It is what it is. Don’t dismiss it as something foisted on Scotland by the English, or the British or the Empire. It’s Scottish to its core.

  28. Grass to do unless one of you have a cow/goat/horse.

    keep the faith.

Ernie.your rancid trolling of those murdered at Ballymurphy is your new low.

billy wolfe against those murdered by the uk state.- really.?

and you wonder why no one votes for that excuse for a pressure group.

    You are one rancid human.

consistent tho with betraying vermin who attempted to criminalize the armed struggle by stripping them of their clothes.

  29. I remember them winning in Barcelona. The inevitable riot led to them being presented with the Cup in a downstairs toilet.

That riot spilled out onto the streets where fans desecrated religious statuary. Later the following day as said fans changed flights somewhere in England, German businessmen were startled to see these fans sprinting in pursuit of a departing plane and throwing bottles at it. It was, of course, an Aer Lingus Jet. Nothing changes here.
