Some posts been deleted without explanation.

    Again.

The reason I will delete posts and not comment on why I do delete is due to guidance from P67, a post he put on 02/02/2018 explains, hope this clarifies your post.

    All:

Been travelling so missed yesterday/today’s comments section. I have asked the Mods not to get involved in conversations here.

I have set out policy, they are asked to act based on policy. If you have any questions regarding why a Mod as acted on your comment, please email me….. or use the blog as an outlet for your testosterone (honestly, it’s that transparent), but no one will respond that way.

THat takes me back. A nail brush dipped in a kidney dish filled with Savlon was the weapon of choice, while being held down. I still have stripes of black ash in one leg after 50 years, following one partially successfully scrub.

On that occasion, (circa 1964) the park was in Argyllshire, and was a mixture of grass and ash. My bleeding gravel thigh wound was covered in cow manure. I was brought into the hospital soaking wet, and still wearing my strip and boots. On examination, I was told I would be receiving a Tetanus shot before the brush. I rolled up my sleeve, whereupon the approximately 18 year old nurse said, “You don’t get it in your arm.”

I said “Oh No!” She said, “Oh yes – assume the position.”

Then 4 of her mates arrived to hold me down while she administered the brush.

Funny what sticks in your mind for 50 years!

I met a lovely young lady (back in the day) in Scruffy Murphys in Coatbridge, who was a fluter in a terrific republican band (I didn’t do any of the walks stuff) woke up in Blackhill asked if we were near a train station, I was next to the big water tower at the M8, thankfully I got home, an experience I look back on fondly but shoited myself at the time !!!!!

  6. Watching Spurs -Liverpool and two things stand out.

Liverpool often beat the press by sending long balls to Salah and Mane and their pace causes Tottenham defense panic and problems.

Tottenham are 1=0 down thanks to a mistake by their own player when Liverpool pressed. They have been put under pressure with their insistence on short passing out from the back.

The first time I was not offered any painkillers before the agonising scrub.

I was in such a state after it they could have stuck the tetanus jag anywhere and I wouldn’t have cared.

The second time I pleaded cowardice and I was given a numbing injection in my knee, which was fine!

    Still got the scars!

    The Rubentus mindset –

6 up v Sassuolo .Higuain ( has scored 2 )selfishly blooters one over the bar -Allegri had a flakey on the touch line.-“Team game -Team game !”.Very The Borg like.

    Rube won 7-0.Higuain scored 3

Spot on comment & of course the ability to play those balls out with accuracy is crucial.

Nir Bitton offers us the best option there.

I wasn’t offered a painkiller. Despite being surrounded by 5 lovely Oban ladies, who were telling me not to be a baby, I was unabashedly yelling!

On reflection, they should have given me a towel (or a bullet) to bite on!

There has been some serious footballers at Celtic in recent years when you think back.

Victor, Virgil even Ki at Swansea is really excelling now.

Best Celtic 11 from the past decade would be CL contenders,no doubt about it.

  14. The Philadelphia Eagles coach is ex NFL players Doug Perderson.

Once he finished playing he took a coaching job at a High School in Shreveport, Louisiana to find out if he liked coaching.

He did all the school sports teacher stuff – washed jersies, lined the pitch before games, lunchroom cover, assemblies etc.
