I’m told by a broadcast journalist friend that Jim Traynor, of PR company Level5, started Newco Rangers broadcast media conference yesterday with a warning to journalists that discussion about title stripping was off limits.
The law was that if manager Mark Warburton was asked about the proposed sanction for Oldco Rangers financial doping the conference would be stopped.
Say what you like about journalists, but they regard being told what to ask, or not to ask, as a line in the sand issue. Traynor, a journalist for decades, should have known better than to make such a rookie mistake.
He was told that attempts to subvert discussion about Oldco being stripped of titles is not something that would be accommodated. By the broadcast media, anyway.
Warburton was subsequently asked about title stripping and although he was happy to answer, I’m told, this angered the would-be news-denier, whereupon he “lost his temper”.
Post-conference there was a bit of chat about how they would be able to appropriately report on less-partisan issues, like the Level5 PR-controlled Ladbrokes SPFL, although there was a consensus that “He’ll fall out with everyone soon enough. He always does”.

If the rumours aboot the dressing room rifts
are right he needs to pick the one’s he can trust.
Can someone remind me of the number of international caps, or European games Jose Mohrinio had ?
Nye Bevans. If there is trouble in the dressing room he should drop the trouble makers and play players who support him but im not sure if the dressing room thing is a MSM invention to divert eyes away from the huns. Well off to Mass In Ronny and Peter I trust. H.H.
Good morning friends from a damp grey calm East Kilbride.
Today is a good day because today I get to watch The Champions play.
Can I just say a massive thank you to all the CQNers who sent me their voting forms to be used by the Celtic Trust at the AGM. They’ll be posted tomorrow and it’s genuinely appreciated.
Hail Hail
Hello again all you young rebels.
Just back from a day with the peninsula hoops and as you can
imagine plenty of argument as regards whether the present set
of players are the worst we’ve ever had or not, I’ve lived through
Wayne Biggens, Carl Muggleton et al but bad as we were i don’t
ever remember any big centre backs ducking from a shot at goal
like i saw against Molde that really gets on my thruppeny bits.
As it often does the talk always goes back to our greatest ever
team the Lisbon Lions although my wee da would argue about
that and although they were magnificent theres always that
question at the back of my mind would Henke or Lubo, Paul
Mcstay, Di Canio enhanced that team or not, i know that
question will never be answered but after much debate and
gallons of guinness Paddymacoz and the rest of us picked our
best ever Celtic eleven and three subs from 1965 onwards in
any formation you wish.
So for the next week on the blog whoever picks the most players
in the our clubs selection will get a much sought after Mornington
Social Celtic polo shirt which we will send to the winner, so just a
bit of fun to lighten the present gloom annnnnd you’ll be the
only person at Celtic park with said shirt.
So post your teams and i must warn you there are a couple of
ringers in ours but give it a go and it will probably surprise us
all the diversity of opinion.
H.H Mick
Morning all.
I’m looking forward to the game today, any thoughts on the team selection. No simo or Kris. Possibly a chance for Scott Allen.
Our bus leaving at 9.40 so just getting myself sorted. Looking forward to catching up with H.T. and many more.
Prediction a rather boring 1.0 to the hoops.
Morning all.
Dark and damp down here once again.
Let’s hope Celtic brighten our day.

Not picked on current form of course but izzie probably best I’ve watched
I always stand outside the main entrance at Celtic Park before kick off.See Billy McNeil he is accompanied with either 2 former players. Mike Jackson and Benny Rooney.as somebody mentioned about Billy being not in the best of health.sadly he is not the same man he was a few yrs ago.
How can this team be the worst team people have ever seen, short memories then, I remember seasons when third place was a struggle and dreading playing teams like Dundee United. Get over yourselves, we are beating all at home comfortably with a young and inexperienced team who will improve (think Griffiths, Biton and Rogic) given time. Europe is beyond them just now, a domestic treble is not.
Blantyretim.
Great effort but safe to say you have less than half but i like the look
of that lot.
I take it you are related to the original holy goalie if so then you must
be a proud man and he was very unlucky not to hold down the No1
slot in the lions but thats the way it goes.
H.H Mick
I can’t believe Ronny Deila has allowed Hearts and Aberdeen to get closer to us in the league. What was he doing yesterday?
It makes today another must win game.
Doesn’t it?

Never read about the dressing room thing in the MSM. Read it on here, but the poster couldn’t go into detail as he would break confidences.
What I’ve seem myself, I have no reason to doubt him.
I hope Ronny shows management prowess today and is ruthless with those who do not listen.

The current squad may have more technical ability than the ones you refer to but they lack fighting spirit and determination. That’s why fans are unhappy.
And I think it’s fair to say that currently the standard of football generally in Scotland is at a low ebb.
I watched a bit of the Aberdeen game yesterday on Alba. It was pathetic.
Truly awful. You’d see fewer unforced errors down the local park.
The upcoming AGM, Lawwell has got to say nothing regarding the Cheating club. Let the floor get the message across loud and clear but PL cannot give the LL even a morsel, which they’d twist any way to suit the current bury and cover up campaign.
Desperate measures are in place right now. The huns know they don’t have a leg to stand on, and are terrified of this going all the way to fellow corrupt Uefa .
They’ll be very aware of what happened to Italy’s biggest club Juventus.
Btw they tell me Uncle Tom Keevins has said the trophies were won unfairly. Who’d have thunk that? So that makes three in the msm with Willie Miller and Tom English. Any others out there with a backbone?
Big game today.
Probably one of the 3 or 4 toughest domestic games of the season.
Ross C have a good managerial set up and a team with plenty to prove.
Tough for our team after Thursday’s show.
Any win will do if we can restore our 6 point lead.

The meeja in scoddland are our enemy and the enemy in this.
We want the best for our great club and the best for Scottish football. Sure, opinions will differ on how this is achieved, and although there are those who are far from genuine in their agenda…….largely we are aligned in our objectives.
Concerted effort from all of Scotland, lead by the fitba’ authorities is required or sustainable credible change won’t be effected.
A rebellious / bilious charge by Sellick from the front espoused most loudly by the sleekit(s) even if genuine is likely to be easily picked off by seasoned campaigners like Chubba and the boul’- blazored Darryl……….
Sadly, ouselves alone……..won’t achieve that which genuine Tims want – football justice for all.
What we need is a whole of Scotland solution to this most scoddish of problems.

As usual your post brings a smile to my face.
I’ll dig through my books and see what team I can come up with.
I reckon there will be some in your team that I may not recognise.
Hope yourself and the young ones are well. Hail Hail
Interesting game this afternoon not often we go up against a team with more Tims in it than ours
Also a year since Ronny showed us his passion at the end of a game up in the muttondome
A bit of passion from the players wouldn’t go amiss , if they’re not going to do it for him or us they could bloody do it for themselves

So who’s fit today? Yet more defensive changes … Efe returns after Blackett’s display? Commons out?
As always after a defeat it’s important to get back to winning ways. Won’t be easy away to a well organised side but we’ve more than enough to come home with the three points/
In other news, in a press conference earlier Mark Warburton’s “I’m flattered to be linked to a club like , but I’ve got a job to do here” speech is once again interrupted by the news that said club have appointed someone else.

Two Danny Mcgrains now thats a wish too far id be looking at a

As i said a couple of ringers in there maybe not for their skill but
devotion to the cause.
Drat, Paddymacoz will probably knock me out for giving out clues.

Melbourne Mick g’day my daughter Ms Hebcelt is spending the month of Dec in Mornington, Mount Martha with the Milligan family. She worked out there a couple of years ago and is revisiting to attend a wedding and get a much needed sunshine boost . The reason for this ramble is I would like to purchase a couple of your shirts/tops, could you give me a contact number where she could get in touch with you. She has met Summa of Sammi but I don’t think you ghuys had been organised then. You can obviously contact me through CQN or Paul67 has my details. Hail Hail Hebcelt

Post o Phil’s blog says it all….
“Dav,
Tax evasion is illegal. It is a crime. The three Court of Session law lords found RFC guilty of illegal tax evasion from 2001-9.
The perpetrators of a crime cannot retain the proceeds of that crime.
Fielding players they could not otherwise have afforded does and did impact on the result of each match over a nine year period, this is serial cheating.
In the words of SDM to the FTT and Andrew Thornhill QC to LNS the Trust allowed RFC to bring in players they otherwise could not afford.
As I have stated before it was not only clubs in domestic competition which were cheated, but also participants in UEFA competitions, the integrity of which wer compromised by the use of criminal payments by RFC over nine seasons.
Finally, cheating does not have to be predicated on winning. Cheating is cheating. Crime is crime is crime.
Melbourne Mick thanks for that I’ll be in touch just let me know the price so that I can add it to her largesse, be in touch soon. Hail Hail Hebcelt She worked with the Lacy family in Mt Eliza just in case you are aquainted with any of the names I have mentioned
