Lose and Aberdeen season is over

593

Aberdeen will already be in town ahead of their game at Firhill tonight. Lose tonight and a season which promised so much as recently as Monday, will effectively be over.

Tomorrow’s game against Inverness will present a robust challenge for Celtic. Inverness are one of four clubs locked within a point of each other, a maximum of three of them will be in the top six after the split. Despite the fact that the Highlanders are competing in the right half of the table, with a Scottish Cup quarter final against Hamilton Accies to look forward to, they are only five points from the play-off spot.

Players will be battling for their livelihoods in every sense of the word.

Well done to Erik Sviatchenko’s old team, Midtjylland, on their Europa League win over Manchester United last night. And to the observer who noted that they have now beaten more top six teams in the England and Wales Premier League than Manchester United or Manchester City.

You wonder what last night’s results will do to the marketability of the Midtjylland players, and whether or not we would have been able to get Sviatchenko in the summer, had he stayed. Big results bring focus and scores of scouts. We nipped in at the right moment with Erik.

Good luck to Thistle tonight.

I often listen to SSB to catch up on what is happening, just last week they were contemplating who was better player between The Griff and Waghorn, so you will be correct re Barry McKay, it’s amazing how they churn out all these superstars who end up superstars :-)

Young Chris plays Motherwell at Dingwall in the semi final of the the Scottish Youth Cup. He said if they beat the Lanarkshire huns he wants to play against Patrick Roberts in the final at Hampden. Reckons he could mark him out the game. :)

Did you take Hinglish at school ?

  4. apparently its an unchanged squad from last week – so unfortunately we wont see Roberts, Christie or Allan – but they are getting “closer”. Closer to what I don’t know.

  5. Dear Mr VoguePunter, apologies for my stupidest usage of Hur Magesties Engerlish and missing the s off the end i the word Ticket(s).

  6. jobo … my favourite elvis collaboration is the album he did with Burt Bacharach … (I know, I know…)

. I think it was around time he had split up with Cait …. full of heartbreak but a beautiful album … one of those exceptionally rare albums where there is not a bad track on it.

Brilliant attitude from C, when I was a bhoy I used to dream of playing against the Huns, but in my heart of hearts I would have tried harder against Celtic hoping they would sign me, the EK game the other week the media were probably waiting on Paddybhoy1888’s son making a howler then leading with “Celtic fan……..” I said before the game and was delighted the EK goalie was man of the match, hope young C gets his wish and from a Cqn point of view hope that Barrie Mackay gets out of his pocket to let Patrick in……. Patrick will hopefully do it when he makes Ronny’s first 11

Delaney’s , BBC website reporting Marcus is going to see a spcialist next Monday about his shoulder.

In news now, the hootsmon has a interview with Yogi. In it , he says he wants a strong referee tomorrow. Its the reverse , its us who need a strong ref as Caley will be out to rough us up a bit.

Their former player , Marley Watkins , certainly roughed us up at Hampden last season and got away with it.

Good night all and sleep well

I heard that same programme, they actually turned on Kazim-Richards saying a striker who doesn’t score, a guy who has 40+ caps for Turkey, but then talked about his goal scoring record throughout his career, I know Waghornio went for about £2m (in England that’s a free transfer) but before he started playing & getting penalties against Alloa, Falkirk, Morton etc think Waghornio had scored around 50+ goals in about 6 seasons roughly, and as a professional footballer, not the best record….. But SSB is a good laugh, you can only have a problem if you ever take it serious, young Mark Wilson is trying to be DJ or Dee-L’s apprentice, I wonder if anybody ever phoned and asked Gordon Dee-L why he left Ibrox

I can’t take SSB seriously, it’s a laugh, nothing else, but it helps keep me informed if you read between the lines, and it’s always good to hear the mother tongue once in a while :-)
