Mariners confirm Rogic deal

963

Tomas Rogic’s club, Central Coast Mariners, formally announced they had agreed terms to transfer the player to Celtic a few hours ago.  The Australian attacking midfielder, who turned 20 last month, will require a work permit before the transfer is concluded, but should be a formality.

After having an extensive look at the player, Neil Lennon will think there is an excellent chance he will be a successful addition to the team, but it’s worth remembering that Victor Wanyama joined at the beginning of last season at the same age as Tomas and took six months before securing a regular starting place in the team.
[calameo code=000390171cc0c3617c8cc lang=en page=80 hidelinks=1 width=100% height=500] I have avoided all YouTube clips of the player (which are notoriously misleading) but by all accounts he is an excellent prospect, however, he will need our support and encouragement as he settles into life in Scotland – especially if he acclimatises to the Scottish game.

Not saying that mate, season ticket holders obv get first dibs. Just a bit frustrating going to Celtic Park on a sat and there’s 25k empty seats then a big game comes up and every man an his granny wants a ticket. Not including you in that my good man, but you know that guys that haven’t been in months/years will be complaining they couldn’t get a ticket.

But like hearts at the cup final!

I do think its a bit harsh that there isn’t a point scoring system so guys like yourself get second dibs ,however tickets where available without standing in the cold.

My mate got two, applied 1 min after midnight online and then just kept trying.

That’s great for him but BAD BAD news for the rest of us.

    He is one massive jinx.

Honest st holder … Ok ( hands over the money while his mate in queue films on phone)

Then walks up to door of celtic park… Exqueeze me mr green jacket i wanna make a complaint about these tickets

Doc and others – I bought a Juve ticket online in December for my usual seat and got a confirmed booking, but no sign of any ticket yet. Anyone else experiencing similar?!

Good points, from afar the six per season ticket holder thing added the un predictability of the queue and its no fair. If the selling point is ‘a season ticket holder can get six mates CL tickets’ Id guess it would be better if as you say ‘Buy a season ticket and get a CL ticket’ get folk buying more season tickets.

Agree about the attacks on the club, read it all day on twitter, you cant please everybody for a game like this and no doubt superscoreboard have their next show lined up based on that.

His favourite players were Neilly Mochan and Bertie Peacock, and he is going into Celtic Park tomorrow to try and get his seat.

  18. Magnificentseven on

The bhoys moaning about tickets for the Juve game need to take a reality check…………what is the club supposed to do? A public sale would have been a nightmare today… much worse than the queues we saw….the club couldn’t win whatever they did with some, there was always going to be more wanting tickets than tickets available

and so much for the talk about the prices being too high!! people want to be at Paradise for this game….Celtic got it right you have to maximise the revenue when you can…we don’t get many opportunities to earn this much from one match

  19. I was listening to 5 Live phone in at lunchtime, about HMV, where their guy was giving out advice on Consumer rights.

I thought the short section from 41m 45s to 42m 05s was a reassuring summary of what I took to be commercial reality, well, that is, until they pulled that 3 card trick with the 5 way agreement last year.

Go to 41m 45 secs and listen to the 20 second clip there and imagine someone on Radio Clyde describing Rangers’ situation in the same terms

Why does this not apply to Sevco?
