Celtic have built a team with the money they earn, paying all of their taxes and Social Security, they play within the (laughable) Uefa financial fair play rules. If we win 7-1 at the weekend we will do it fairly, tonight was the antithesis of fair.

Bottom line is that we were well beaten by a team that cost more than 30 times than us. That’s a massive gulf. It’s equivalent to us playing a team that cost around £800,000.
Is it an embarrassment? I don’t think so. Next time we thump a Scottish team by that margin we won’t slate them. We will accept that we are on a much higher level.
Roll on Sunday and get the first leg of the treble!
Then look forward to beating Anderlecht and getting into the Europa League.

That game will mean nothing if we go on and win the EL and they don’t win the CL.
Apart from poor defending and stupid mistakes I saw a lot to be confident in. Presently we are not a CL team but if we qualify for the next stage of the EL then we are progressing in the right direction.

My gut reaction is that Brendan needs to accept that, against the very top sides who have hoovered up all of the top talent, we need to be more defensive. We’ve got a system that will work against most teams but the like if Madrid, Barca and PSG – nope. We need another way. We’ve got players like forest and Sinclair who love wide open space in front of them. Utilise that. Defend the spaces and get the ball in front of the quicker guys when we can. We might not win but there will be less of these hammerings.
There was nothing to lose tonight. Nothing lost apart from damage to the pride.
If the sevvies annoy you tomorrow just keep using the word ‘progres’ when discussing the result.
I’ll take the huff tonight. Ignore it tomorrow and start looking forward to the cup final come tomorrow evening.
We conceded 7 going on 10. I’m loving Brendans reign and the domestic domination but something doesn’t sit well with me.
French ligue 1 sides seem to set up and perform better against PGS and when I look through that league, we’d probably knock out the majority of them over two legs, just as we will the Belgian champions.
I don’t like to criticise Celtic, ever, but if we’re going in against the elite again next season, I pray that BR is learning a massive lesson.

Celtic very badly need CB players. It might have kept the score down to 4 or 5.
I’m not too bothered as PSG will do likewise to better teams but I do think CB reinforcement is non optional in January.
Hello this is WEE BGFC. Watched the Anderlecht game for the last 10 mins to find out it was 2-1 to the Germanic Germans!!!!! Brilliant!!!! We are the first team to score against Qatar United in the Champions League this season!!!! What really matters is that Anderlecht need to beat us by at least 3 at Paradise!!!!!!! today in work i said i thought we could lose by seven, but what worried me more was that i thought bayern would struggle against anderlecht. so it might seem strange but I’ve got a kid done feeling. if we are in the europa quarter finals tonight will be forgotten.

When you have had to chase for most of the game the other team always look fitter.
It’s a lot easier to play the game in a proactive way.
I hope Brendan learns who the players are to take us forward are.
Dembele ,Ntcham,Brown mistake aside Forrest ,Tierney and Boyata all played well.
McGregor ,Griff are keepers and Kouassi has so much potential.
Brendan also has to learn to be more pragmatic.

Harsh truth: Brendan should speak to Gordon Strachan about how to defend at this level. Gordon did it w lesser players and defenders.
Agree, Celtic conceding 7 goals is unacceptable.
Well we scored a braw goal….stopped them being the first team ever not to concede in the group stages….
Maybe they were on another tax free bonus and that riled them….anyways keep your chins up bhoys and ghirls….The Celtic will always take your breath away….
