Would like to see young Christie recalled from Sheepland and played between the lines to link up with him.

Thought precisely that myself and wondered/lamented that it probably wasn’t possible to do so?

  2. Definitely off to kip this time. All in all a good win at a venue that Thistle don’t often lose at, and with a couple of very young kids playing major parts. My trust is still 100% with Brendan and I really don’t give a flying **** what anyone else thinks to the contrary.

Time will tell and Brendan Rodgers is here for 10 in a row :)

    Nite all….. HH! :

  3. I posted this after that Pedro has done a wonderful job in managing the supports expectations when it comes to ins and outs.

He has virtually everyone obsessed with muney, how much he costs and how much we will or won’t pay for a player, get a grip ffs bhoys, really get a grip.

  4. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Skysports news reporting they want to sign Newcastle forward , Mitrovic . Possibly a lot of mince which sky sports news specialise in.

Brighton signed signed a Dutch forward last week.

If they sign Mitrovic , they might have lost interest in Moussa

I’ve just phoned big Ajer, he’s admitted to playing the first half with the wrong boots. He’d only checked out parts of the pitch, during the inspection and got it wrong for the first 45.

Someone posted the rules about red cards earlier in the season.

I was sure they said that if penalty is given then red card discretionary.

Not got the foggiest if true but i’m sure if he could have Beaton would have been quick to show red.

    ————————-

Rules are if you make a genuine attempt at a tackle but give away a penalty then it doesn’t have to be a red card. It was all about the double punishment, red card and going a goal down.

Lustig tonight pulled the guy but was it a clear goal scoring chance? Debatable, so the ref had an out there, and gives a yellow.

Chris Davis said that his head had been turned a bit by all the media speculation but that NO official enquiries have been made for him.

So Brendan Roger’s is not convinced that he is in the right frame of mind to play tonight this immediately translates as Celtic are deliberately angling for a big money move.

  8. BCw,

It’s not something I hallucinated…..I’ll watch the game again tomoz and give you a definitive summary….but I bet Lustig & Ajer both caused us problems in losing possession….their fault….no out ball….we’ll see ;-))

Laws now state that if DOGSO and player is making an attempt for the ball inside the area results in pen and yellow, if not going for the ball, pen and red.

Should have been red in my opinion.

Lustig got away with one, I was surprised he did not walk.

  15. I also wouldn’t mind seeing Ryan Christie given a chance in SPFL as our no.10,

Think we are badly missing Paddybhoy’s creativity and Tom Rogic (when on his game)

    BCW,

just a personal opinion, I would much rather see Simonuvic as our main CH than Boyata

On at least 2 occasions tonight, Boyata gave the ball away needlessly under no pressure

    It’s not too deep.

But there’s one snippet about the guy his character and the millions gambled by clubs on these young men.

Sutton recalls his troubles at Chelsea and how they started.

He missed an easy chance, might even have been in a preseason game and he admits that was it, he “knew” sorta thing.

    Sure he cost 10,000,000.00, gone.

  18. MURDOCHAULDANDHAY

I have said on here many times that I go and watch the local team training, they are a joy to watch, some of their schedule involves playing in circles that they can’t leave and when the ball comes to them they have to get rid asap, two touches max, it’s fast as and it really improves their ball control, another thing they have to do is pass it to designated people, fail and it’s on the naughty step :-)

Some of them would blow some of our players out of the water when it comes to passing the ball to a team mate btw :-)

Bookies have slashed their odds on “Who will be the first CQN’er to post Brendan Out ”

In a surprise move the normally sensible Jamesgang has had his odds slashed from 200/1 to 6/4 after the Big Fenianologist posted some highly critical comments about Mr Rodgers

Mr Jamesgang agent is not returning our calls at present

  20. I would leave RC up there just now. He’s not yet good enough to sustain a place in the Celtic team over a number of games. Brendan will leave him up there to continue his development.

So Brendan Roger’s is not convinced that he is in the right frame of mind to play tonight this immediately translates as Celtic are deliberately angling for a big money move.

so why have him on the bench if he is not up for it.

  22. Thought I’d seen everything until the Leigh Griffiths offside directly from a Celtic throw in, with the referee’s assistant either asleep till he saw a Hoop in the clear or simply just didn’t care about the rules, – you decide.

Opened up like it was bound to be a breeze, but poor finishing sowed the seed of doubt which might have harvested in Mikael Lustig’s mind as his fenian hand was spotted by John Beaton on a Jags back. Super Salary was nearby and he saw clear a stonewaller that did everything but knock the Thistle lad clean off his feet?

With no complaints from Celtic we were quickly reminded of Scott Sinclair’s cup final ‘dive’ and the entirely different situation that also was ‘a result ‘ for Celtic albeit never the stonewaller of Thistle strain.

With the commentator’s hopes firmly pinned on Tomas Cerny who’d previously had the audacity to save a penalty from the Celtic player, Sinky restored normal service and the Jackie Husband invasion began preparations for Paul67’s single goal win.

It duly arrived from our poacher supreme who instinctively knows how to take half chances spurned by lesser mortals.

  23. Who’d be a Celtic manager? Watching celtic 90 minutes twice a week makes everyone experts. And then you have to deal with the likes of Chris Sutton and their opinions, the same questions over and over again from a media who depend on your quotes, tidbits and rumors for their existence.

Anyone who’s managed a team of people can see the difficulties in managing our three strikers. I heard someone who’d know (from outside celtic) describing Griff as a terrorist in the dressing room.

    Cowiebhoy.

    I’ve been watching Boyatta’s Phoenix.

I honestly can’t recall him doing that.

I did notice he is moving forward with the ball more, you’ll have seen that too, like the Sevco 90th minute pass.

He is Brendan’s number one, has responded to some confidence building and coaching. irrespective of how we individually feel he needs supported ? This self destructive tendency in our support ( and group thought) to get at players is counterproductive and then some.

You can see them at it about Ajer tonight.

Some, those who have played football at least should recognise the variables in the game, that can define a performance?

I jokingly gave you an example earlier mate.

Meant to add I’m beyond despair at the self inflicted wounds we the support are causing.

Put it this way it is beyond sad that many on CQN rail against the SMSM ? Then get stuck into our players.

One guy posted just after the match (yeah you italiabhoy) that he doesn’t think we have a chance or some other guff ….that games against Zenit secco Aberdeen hubs hearts and killie are doubtful.

We won tonight and extended our lead didn’t we ?

Even super salary gives the Celtic a better chance than some on CQN.
