Best Celts for me, were Brown and Ntcham. Forrest saw more of the ball second half and we looked a different proposition as a result. Griff came on with a point to prove and duly did just that. We need more of his kind of confident attitude on the park.

Ntcham MOTM again, Brown drove us forward in the second half and the wide men got involved. Tierney looking back close to his best. Griff did what he does at domestic level.

Judging by most of the comments on here, I would say we are becoming harder to please. Did someone say earlier that Thistle have only lost once at Home this season and that they are ( were) currently on a successful run? We beat them and , for much of the game, played well.
Also, it seems to me that other teams find that little bit extra against us because we really are the team to beat. It is not easy to trounce professional football sides. Try to enjoy the good aspects of this team. There are many of them.

Griff, great half Thought Ncham had a great game. Eduard not ready to play at this level.
I don’t think we’re willing to play the ball through the middle, although we did it more in the second half. Play seemed disjointed, like we were singing from different hymn sheets.

As regards Leigh Griffiths he is only back from injury that is why he wasn’t on in the first half. Brendan Rogers, note he has a first name, obviously thought the team he picked had enough to deal with Partick Thistle, he was wrong he changed it, we won, he is no longer a dud, job done.
Chris Davies said Moussa’s head had been turned by talk of a move, why should Brendan lay him if he, Moussa, isn’t sure he wants to beat Celtic.
We are not in any hurry to sell him, so if he wants a showcase to display his talents he is going to have to train like he has never trained before to get into our team.
Leigh is now our man umber one striker, Odsonne Eduardo is now obviously number two. Which leaves Moussa in a bit of a quandry, does he huff or knuckle down.?

JF had a good second half after Brendan made a positive change.
Young Edouard had some nice touches and movement but needs to be on the front foot more.His pass to Grif was fantastic.
Ajer was better in second after a very poor first.But at one point in second he had ball at halfway line with 3 Celtic players ahead of him in space yet turned and played ball backwards.Why?Are we that obsessed with possession that we only take the guaranteed pass?
Our movement off the ball has now dwindled to the point of being completely static.
Also Bitton’s usual lack of concentration almost cost us the victory.He did the same earlier in season and was lucky on that occasion not to give away a penalty.This is why viewing him as defensive cover is folly.
Brendan needs to up his game as we are going backwards.
I understand injuries have lessened our potency but our obsession with purposeless possession is making it easier for opponents to counter and threaten us.

A hard fought win but eleven clear at the top, Thistle caused
us some problems and it’s obvious Brendan still has a bit of
work to do but until he gets the players in that he wants and
the others out then i’ll gladly take the three points winning
ugly.

2nd half much better LG stirs it up he moves, he want the ball he is aggressive he has to play from the start. Thistle made it hard for us last year as well think we drew let’s build on this win. Defence looks all over the place.

I reckon they might have gone with a safe one back to the defenders from the correct place.
The point is, though that it should have been a foul throw. It wasn’t just the “normal” three or four yards that players take. It was blatant.

Brendan just getting pissed off like the rest of us about the Moussa talk. The bhoy has obviously intimated a desire to move if possible or a deal is already done, but Celtic quite rightly should maximize the potential fee.

Woeful 1st half
Deila-ish in our inability to pass the ball for the man to run on to and the lack of movement.
Loss of creativity through form (Sinclair) or injury (Rogic and Roberts). Defence shaky. Old Father Time catching up with Lustig.
Lots of contributing factors. End result, a bit pishy! (And yes that is a technical term!!!)

Agree Ntcham was excellent and a great shout for MOM … makes you wonder why he didn’t get any time against Sevco to my mind It cost us two points….
