  1. TET,

I dont believe everything we are fed from the club either,

but in this case i dont know enough to say they are

trying to punt Moussa against his wishes,

only reason i can give for him not starting is BR saying his head

is not quite there at the minute.

  2. Starry & Gary (sorry),

100% ………………………… Two very, very young guys who although far from perfect tonight put in extremely good shifts and never ever hid.

Very disappointed in Sutton’s continuous criticism of Edouard, I don’t remember Chris being a world beater at 20.

Of course it’s all about the cash. For Celtic and the player ffs.

All Celtic’s acquisttions are entirely about the money in and out.

If it wasn’t about the business. the cash, the lucre, Lawwell and co should be sacked.

Brendan leaving, nah not cause he’s pee’d off at the board anyaway. Nah he’s more likely to get hacked off at the expectant demands of a Celtic support who cannot stand anything other than perfection.

Passing at the back, it’s how he wants Celtic to defend, ball retention. Too much for the panty wetters on here. Too stressful, but it’s how Brendan defends, how the CL teams play. That’s what he aspires to, having the Celtic players, the club playing to a higher standard.

You said earlier you played the game huh ? How often did those games go to plan, the result always work out, the way it should.

  4. I thought Ajer was as good in the second half as he was poor in the first. Griffiths really changed the game and Edouard was better without the responsibility of being the lone striker.

In my opinion, McGregor offered very little.

Griff’s finish was, dare I say it, Larssonesque.

Three points, move on to Saturday. Wonder what eleven will start.

  5. that was a braw pass from Broony to griff for the winner …. couple of posters missing that….

smiley no names no pack drill thing

    Braw

  6. On Patrick Roberts…..mibbe we’re playing a game here…..pretend he’s injury prone to put off any potential suitors and make ManC think about cutting their losses…..a win-win for us for when we buy him?

See Owen….yer no the only one with a well worn tinfoil hat ;-))

    H.H.

    Tonight’s quiz:

How many times did one of the back four, misplace a pass at the back ?

  8. As I’ve said before, get a right back and no10 and we’re sorted. Big Ntcham is getting better and better, give him a proper no10 to link with and we’ll see some proper football. Griff must start at the weekend but needs to put this Hibs love in to bed.

  9. Glad James Forrest came on in 2nd half :-))

Bhoys, young Odsonne (20 last week) has not even played 20 first team games, we need to give him a chance, his movement, touch and hold up play is decent, plus movement is good, and he’s a team player , patience needed

    Hail Hail

The wee Nyaff that does BT sport was pushing the “why does Griff not start for Celtic” all night and Big Chris loves to go over the top with his criticism of Celtic players, stating the blatantly obvious ” Eudoard is not as good as Griff or Moussa” does not a pundit make.

All played out to the squeals of the man hyena that is Ally McMoist..

BT started out well but it’s the same old same old burnt toast hun agenda..

I have said more than once that I am happy with the way things are going just now, I well understand that we are hamstrung being in scotland and having next to no cash to play with, I also understand that the entitlement from the support has gone through the roof since their demise, it would be hard to ignore in reality.

My problem always has been the biscuit tin mentality, I have NEVER sided with the media, NEVER, I have more integrity than that ffs, I do have the capability of thinking for masel without their slanted bias.

As for the point I was trying to make, I don’t believe it’s the player who want’s to go just yet, why all of a sudden has his head been turned….last year it was real, PSG, Chelsea et all angling for his signature, now his head gets turned by Palace and Brighton, give me a break ffs, he has lost his form as many weans do, our problem is we can’t afford to let his form drop without cashing in, it’s quite simple really for the suits, he needs to go.

I am not slagging the suits for this, it’s what they do, muney is their god, end of.

still to be convinced with KA at the back , looks a bit heavy and very slow of pace.

    ======================

Careful now; I got pelters for giving him 5/10 agianst Sevco and opining that he was cumbersome and a little slow of thought.

Not seen anything to the contrary yet. Big unit of a bhoy, but needs to find agility and awareness to play that position to the required Celtic level.

It all depends on who you choose to believe I suppose, Brendan will toe the party line, any manager will, only going by what I read on all the blogs the majority seems to think that it’s the club and NOT Moussa or his agent angling for the move, they are on record last year stating that a couple of years at Celtic then they will assess things, I understand that things may change but for once I am not believing the spin from the club.

    ___

Seriously? Yes the club are angling for a move and are quite rightly managing his move, the role of the club marketing that move in the best interests of the club. The club will manage the move not the player.

Do you believe BR wants rid of him if he us a good asset? Are you suggesting BR does not know talent that he can develop and work with?

MD wants a move and if I was in charge and owned his contract I would make sure I managed that move, not the player or his agent.

It was I who mentioned that game in 74- no dig intended at you. I remember yon 3-3 game with the Sons too- think we were behind twice. Think we scraped past Arbroath the week after too.

As for tonight obviously the result was better than the performance but I said I would take a hard fought 2-1er before the game and I will stick with that.

We had a good first 4 minutes with 3 fairly good chances then apart from one shot by Olivier N. we did nothing until the second half. Sluggish play with far too much sideways and backward passing for my taste. Miles better second half with Griff the difference though I thought Forrest and McGregor improved considerably and Broony was again terrific. Ajer has promise but , like Nir B I suspect he is better in midfield. Mikael looks done at the moment there is no denying whilst to me Odsonne E. is nothing special though like most of the team he improved a bit in the second half.

As I said earlier my hearing is temporarily impaired but I still heard some really choice comments around me. Even when we are winning some folk seem to be in a state of permanent angst-ridden entitled idiocy – to the point of describing our penalty as ‘really soft’.

Lustig and Ajer…..there was also McGregor…..before Lustig again effed up leading to their penalty

  21. Observation: Callum’s started receiving the ball with his back to goal again; nullifies his effectiveness.

Sam Jackson’s French Lovechild showing why Zidane rates him so highly – alleviates Broonie’s burden and makes like a metronome. Would like to see young Christie recalled from Sheepland and played between the lines to link up with him.

Sutton became the most expensive player in English football three months after his 21st birthday. The previous season, for all but two months of which he was still aged 20,he scored 25 league goals.

  24. Someone posted the rules about red cards earlier in the season.

I was sure they said that if penalty is given then red card discretionary.

Not got the foggiest if true but i’m sure if he could have Beaton would have been quick to show red.
