21-year-old Victor is a fabulous talent but he has also been a tad rash in his earlier Champions League outings this season. One more yellow card will bring a suspension but his timing, and more importantly, his concentration, on Wednesday was excellent. This is a player maturing; more to come.
The 1254125 charity cycle left Lurgan this morning for Belfast port where they caught a ferry to Cairnryan. After they set wheel on Scotland they have a 37 mile cycle to Maybole, 7 miles of which is uphill, one of the most difficult parts of the endeavour.

Sometimes you just have to stand up for what you truly believe in, not sway with the prevailing wind ; go upstream against the tide, not go with the flow. To thine own self be true, and all that good stuff.
On Wednesday night that great stadium sized tifo was organized, designed, planned, paid for and co-ordinated by The Green Brigade; the club approved and announced the implementation timing over the tannoy at regular intervals and it all came off brilliantly and made a lasting imoression all over the world, and not least on the Barçelona players. Jaws dropped,literally, at the awe inspiring sight. The effort to create that was immense.
The club in its approval made a statement, of sorts, i.e. this is okay. That, at least, is something, if only small comfort and crumbs from a very big and well stacked table.
We should give high praise to The Green Brigade, and maximum respect.
It’s that simple.
Soon, with the draconian cuts being dished out by this crazy government, the police will have a great deal on their plate, a big reduction in their numbers being part of their problems, and an undoubted impending rise in social unrest on a large scale.
Perhaps then they will have better things to do than harass the likes of The Green Brigade and they will cease giving themselves nice wee holidays abroad watching Celtic at the taxpayers expense, and in futile attempts to intimidate and practice barely concealed hateful bias towards the policing of football supporters at, and around Celtic Park.
The Green Brigade bring much to Celtic F.C. They are, on the whole, young; occasionally the young go o.t.t., but in the greater scheme of things they are to be welcomed, applauded, supported and encouraged.
Look at Wednesday night : clubs around the world would give much to have a fraction of what was on view then. But money really can’t buy you love; and that’s what is at the heart of The Green Brigade’s fervour for Celtic F.C. Love.

I dont want religion or politics to ever come into supporting our amazing club. As WE know we are THE club that are respected around the globe because we are opened to every race, colour and creed. Anyone of any back ground can come to our magnificent stadium and be wholly accepted. The red poppy was there to commemorate casualties of the war, regardless of their religion or Colour. Politics should be left out of football, i completely agree but we know commemorations Will happen for various unfortunate events within stadiums whether they should or shouldn’t. Just saying we’re an all accepting support so whether some want to honour memories of victims of a war that they may not have wanted to be part of then let them. on the politics thing, personally I dont agree, the rulers only want sanitised sport whe it suits them, or when they disagree with the politics being espoused by the support.
Politics and sport have always went hand in hand, when you get like minded masses you will get like minded politics.
Remember the americans decided afganistan did not want communism, even though there was equality and 97% literacy everyone was fed, it was not healthy, so they decided the best thing was not to send athletes to moscow and train the taliban and any other fundamental muslim organisation who would fight the infidels.

All demanding to be recognised as the soul of the club.

Well said and Im with most of it. None of my points were anti anything you said. Im a guy who has a full Irish on my mothers side and a Scots background at my fathers side… But… Its a long Scots family history Thats catholic history through reformation times. As I’ve said, i don’t practise myself and wont be hypocritic when it comes to the issue but i say this because we’re not a club that is exclusive and was born for everyone. The ethos may have changed but our club embraces all and we are better regarded world wide for it, bar the minority of the bigoted and facist “clubs” that still perpetuate their ancient views despite their staff being all they resent

Watched barca game 3 times this week and miku was excellant. Intelligant player and perhaps like sammi will shine alot more i european games.
