Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67: Victor Wanyama didn’t get booked.
21-year-old Victor is a fabulous talent but he has also been a tad rash in his earlier Champions League outings this season. One more yellow card will bring a suspension but his timing, and more importantly, his concentration, on Wednesday was excellent. This is a player maturing; more to come.
The 1254125 charity cycle left Lurgan this morning for Belfast port where they caught a ferry to Cairnryan. After they set wheel on Scotland they have a 37 mile cycle to Maybole, 7 miles of which is uphill, one of the most difficult parts of the endeavour.
They are people with the spirit of this club pumping through their veins right now. Check out their everyclick page for more information.

morning tally bhoy, I’ll be there despite being up all night! I wish 50,000 would show but doubt it. Always a half full optimistic person but seems now everyone wants to be there for The big games but dont show for The bread and butter. Its a real shame. Few years back everyone wanted to be there and not even just for sevco games. Fans were attracted to so called big names but our current guys have surpassed the mult-million bhoys. Really hope Im wrong though!
Big Pierres…
Morning to you!
Have to agree with you – I think! Am also an optimist – but after a ‘glamour’ match it’s usually back to the ‘bread and butter’ stuff when the attendance can be a wee bit disappointing.
We have been in the spotlight since Wednesday -and quite rightly so – and will be again today. If the attendance IS on the lower side today – ie under 50k – then just watch the LL pick up on it – anything to shine a negative light on the club!
…but we are the BEST supporters in the world – we showed that on Wednesday – with the images beamed to the 4 corners of the planet!
HH!!

Was back for 6 wks 2 year ago staying with my uncle and made my first visit to Melbourne with him. Nice city, well different from anywhere I’d been In oz. You know my uncle?… JPY?

I do agree we are the best but our hardcore isnt as good as used to be, alot has to do with employment and immigration obviously.
I hate seeing loads empty seats at parkhead and weeks like this make me thinky stay in australia wont be as long as maybe it should be.
Gonna miss todays game again because not on tv and its a lottery if benfica spartak games will be on.
God bless the tic and all who support us.

Mornin’ – just a wee read back……
……looks like the second halloween last night – the odd recurring ‘spook an’ ghoul’ popping up where the possibility of devilment lurks……………..
Shameful, and too obvious.
PPC Huns.
Watching MOTD…Rio Ferdinand is done …slow slow slow
His defending seems to consist of berating linesmen claiming offside as his lack of pace is continually exposed
Bankiebhoy
A few howling at the moon last night right enough
Not a great weekend for football….sport being hijacked by politics is never a good thing
As for the sanctimonious hypocracy of the Huns yesterday ….infuriating and saddening in equal measure
Penalty for arsenal …..only the type the Huns get …ha..missed
Speirs in The Herald peddling the OF myth
Sure the Huns miss the SPL…however how many CFC bhoys actually miss them…lazy disingenuous journalism continues
Btw Sunderland are very poor..MON not really doing it there
Morning everyone
Was driving past the Olde Club in Uddingston around midday yesterday and seen lots of Sevco supporters waiting for their bus.I have often seen them in the past and at times have made my blood boil on other times I have had a wee chuckle at them but that was when they were Rangers fans. This was the first time I had seen a large group of sevco fans and it really made me laugh and I noticed that there was no feelings of they were our rivals, it was just a feeling of joy knowing that no matter what they want to tell you that they have history seeing the large group of them all together you know that they know that they don’t.
One other point The Green Brigade had a banner at their last ever game at Celtic Park saying Your Grandchildren Will Be Celtic Fans after Weds night,
How true a saying was that
proudbhoy
attendance Will be down, No doubt. At least we’re not shouting about attendance like they were again yesterday! Pure joke
PF –
It’s the odd ones that are so eye-catching……….
Just watching MOTD – Big Lambo is slowly morphing into Martin…….

I noticed some posters saying that, on the 360 degree photo, they looked like some weird aliens. What`s wrong with these people? Mine is a perfect likeness.

I know it will be and despite us slagging the huns for giving out free tickets i think we could do more to fill park as close to capacity as possible.
Go to job centre, schools, pubs etc and entice crowd back.
Niall quinn did it at sunderland and from what i remember it worked well.
Competition for 10lucky winners, winners fet 10free tickets to every league game for season. Theres good chance most them will return next season and every season after that.
We need to grow the base again ,spread the message and finally bury the huns.

When I consider the Mass Media world in which we live and see the blind allegiance in response to the Modern Poppy Appeal, I am reminded of these words:
Albert Einstein:
“I fear the day when the technology overlaps with our humanity. The world will only have a generation of idiots.”
PS To save some becoming too irate, I am NOT referring to those who support the Poppy Appeal for their own reasons.

Final post before going out for a pre-Parkhead bike ride.
Some people feel that we are too concerned with the team that plays at Ibrox. Yesterday`s jingoistic hypocrisy there reminds us of why we continue to fight for justiceand believe Scotland would be a better place without them.
Kind of ironic that when the Green Brigade fight for what they believe is correct, they are demonised; when others fight for The Estabblishment, they are idolised.
PS In spite of the nature of my last two posts, I am still basking in the joy of Wednesday and looking forward to today`s 3-0 game.

Just watched the Barca fan’s video which Paul has linked. Great viewing. Really great. Such class from the Barca fan. “Thank you Celtic”.
I’m sorry I couldn’t get over to Parkhead due to work/family commitments.
Goes without saying that it looked such a special atmosphere, perhaps better than we could have anticipated. The whole ground seemed in fine voice. A fantastic atmosphere for the club, for football, for positive support.
Bring on Benfica… HH.

Buenas dias from a dark but mild Toronto: heading to my kip shortly after an enjoyable albeit late night; the highlight being a wonderfull osso buco and the company of good people:)
I was just thinking, we beat Barcelona and the world to a man / woman has praised us highly. Sevco managed to get past peetaheed yesterday at home……close your eyes and think about that, champions league v 4th tier scotia…..think about THAT….and try not to smile:)
Just sayin.

Re: attendance
I won’t be going today. Midweek used up a lot of credits with the missus, today is family time.
Suspect there’s lots in the same boat.

I was looking at some pictures taken yesterday at the second biggest ground in the Scottish Third Division.
Truly nauseating. End of the pier stuff.
I haven’t seen anything from govan yesterday, but can imagine they turned their tumble down old stadium into a poppy theme park for the day.
Very very glad I missed it.
Hope all the headlines are about football from today’s game. Like to see young Dylan get a start today.
Different topic – does anyone think Ki would have started on Wednesday?
I was just checking our stats on the BBC. 37 games since we had a no score draw in the League. That has to be value for money.
Shameful grandstanding.
Shameless and cynical.

Poppy – The Musical – has to be next year’s theme at ibrox.
The scenes from that asbestos-infested midden yesterday at ht were truly nauseating!
A stomach-churning ‘love-in’ between certain members of the Armed Forces and the hordes of neanderthals in the run-down stands!
As I stated yesterday there did not seem to be any banners proclaiming – “Where is our money you thieving tax-dodging bigots?!”

‘Football grounds were viewed as an ideal venue for recruitment drives and during one such event Celtic manager Willie Maley endorsed a mock trench warfare at Celtic Park designed to lure players and spectators alike to the Front.’
http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=1743
Nowadays football grounds are viewed as an ideal venue to promote the the notion that dying in the service of one’s country is a worthwhile and honourable thing.
And that’s necessary when the country is involved in unpopular wars and suffering mounting casualties.
So well done, Celtic.
Playing your part and doing your bit for the cause, now as then.
Any news on the injuries to Brown, Hooper and Forrest?
How long will it be before MON and Lambo are ringing up NFL and Johan for advice?
Who’d a thunk it?????
