Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67

Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67: Victor Wanyama didn’t get booked.

21-year-old Victor is a fabulous talent but he has also been a tad rash in his earlier Champions League outings this season.  One more yellow card will bring a suspension but his timing, and more importantly, his concentration, on Wednesday was excellent. This is a player maturing; more to come.

The 1254125 charity cycle left Lurgan this morning for Belfast port where they caught a ferry to Cairnryan. After they set wheel on Scotland they have a 37 mile cycle to Maybole, 7 miles of which is uphill, one of the most difficult parts of the endeavour.

They are people with the spirit of this club pumping through their veins right now. Check out their everyclick page for more information.

    End of.

But almost by definition they must be a hard bunch of bas*****.

I my grandfathers time, fighting for Ireland, and in my family now, a commando in the British army.

    All the stories are horrible.

Some come by word of mouth, and have not made the press.

The thing is, that is what occupying armies will always do.

They are neds in uniforms, specially selected to be aggressive.

    Every country has these people.

The blame should be directed at the decision makers, the Etonians that decide that these people are fit to police foreigners they hate and don’t understand.

The soldiers… I feel for the good ones.

    MrZ,

Sorry pal, I cannot reconcile your insistence that a philosophy that you say you understand can corrupt people.

Corrupt people corrupt philosophy, it cannot be any other way my friend.

Every philosophy has been corrupted by people, look at Christianity it’s a simple philosophy, who has it corrupted, because IMO going on your idea that a philosophy can corrupt people, then Christianity is responsible for the slaughter of millions, maybe as many as communism, is it the philosophy or those responsible for their own interpretation of the philosophy ?

“how it happened that Russia adopted communism” ok how did that happen ?

  6. That is some piece by McKenna in The Grauniad re. Neil Francis Lennon.

No greatness is achieved without struggle….and has he ever had to struggle.

    Greatness achieved. Immortality assured.

Big Vic. A great Bhoy, a brilliant young man. I cannot praise him too highly.

    >>>

I was out with friends tonight…all English…all support different clubs and sports. All they wanted to talk with me about was our achievement v Barça and to hear about what it was like to be there. They were all full of praise for us. (Poppies never got mentioned.)

They were all genuinely pleased for us. They find it hard to believe that we are subjected to such vitriol from the Scottish msm.

Anyway….we get genuine respect where I live from a broad cross-section. It felt good. It felt justified. It felt real, and it felt safe.

    Still no deed yet :o)

There is no army in Costa Rica they don’t seem to agree with you

That is poppy day for me!

  11. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

Neil Canamalar, did you tag yourself on the 360 degree photo?

I had a look after your posts the other night and found myself and my boy looking like a couple of aliens from the planet tharg.

You mentioned that they would be photographing us next at the turnstiles. The already are. Look around you in CP there are camera’s everywhere, If you’ve nothing to worry about why worry about it?

If Celtic plan to do the 360 thing again I recommend a bigger camera or a better cameraman.

  12. miki67

I work for a Welsh firm with engineers all over Britain, with me the only Scot. I have opened their eyes this year with what Celtic have to put up with with the MSM and corrupt officials and leaders.

They hear nothing down there, just two teams just as bad as the other, but I gained their respect when they consoled me when the huns won the league, but I told that their time will come and they would liquidate etc.

I asked them to compare their team to Celtic and their rivals the huns, told them about the cheating, the sfa non punishments for the shame game, the dual contracts, the trophys they stole as a result, how they were shoe horned in against the rules, the football leaders all with hun links etc

I believe they are are Celtic minded now and I got quite a few texts after the Barca result.

I think this is the case with a lot of people down there they see only the religious divide, and think one is as bad as the other.

Noticed you do not post on the TSFM any more, do you still keek in now and then?

    Any updates on our injuries?

I hope Commons is played as much as possible, he’s like a wee buzz bomb and he looks like he could still do with a bit of conditioning. Loved the way he continually appeared in the right back position on Wednesday and blocked loads of attacks / shots(pointed out to me by my bro 67 and very evident on a second look at the game).

Looking forward to visiting paradise tomorrow and expecting a great day out, hopefully with a three point ending.

  14. Canamalar

    Costa Rica?

Know nothing about it (and maybe don’t get the joke).

A minor change in police tactics (shoving, rather that kicking the sh**), brought Britain to its knees in the recent riots.

The need for and army is well established in my head anyway.

In Costa Rica there must be some crazy love drug.

    But am doubting that.

  15. Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire on

    a ceiler…,

That’s exactly the same argument being used to invade everyone’s privacy, by people who can afford super injunctions.

Is there a box we can tick that will guarantee to protect our identity and limit who it will be distributed too.

Oh wait the Green Brigade genuinely thought they had nothing to worry about but their identities and personal details are now with an aggressive politically motivated police force.

Now the police address them by their Christian names away from home and abroad, but yer right no one would ever misuse any of that information would they.

  16. Canamalar- the words of that song are still poignant with me. Makes it more tragic when I see us defending that well known strategic outpost known as Iraq.

  17. Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire on

    rascal…,

There is no joke, they really don’t have an army.

In your head can you justify soldiers shooting the population we are told they supposed are to protect ?

    NeilCanlamar,

Aha now thats where there is a weee worry.

It cost the Green Brigade 10,000 to put that display on.

Al give ye a guess how much Celtic FC contributed to that?

  22. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

Neil Canamalar, I posted yesterday morning that I don’t see the 360 degree photo being in the same league as the sinister filming of the GB. For a start the quality is garbage.

I couldn’t give a shit if I’m filmed each and every time I enter Celtic Park any more than I’m annoyed that I’m filmed every time I walk down the street.

I don’t like it but I don’t compare it to the filming of the GB which I do agree with you is a very aggressive act on the part of the police. Maybe Celtics big brother camera’s are shite quality too. I’m guessing your point is why do the club condone filming of the very best supporters in our stadium?

Have you asked that of the club? I’d be interested to know what their response was to why they allow this to happen.

HH! Historically, the county I live in has been very Catholic (Dorset) as is a lot of England’s SW. Many Celtic connections.

I still read TSFM, but I got very fed-up with over-moderation and when I linked a site which showed exactly how the zombie rising banner got photoshopped and what a stitch-up was being perpetrated in the msm, my post got removed. Further posts were arbitrarily removed, so I got into a strop, sent TSFM an email telling him/her what I thought of moderation morphing into censorship and that I was out of there and I would not be participating ever again. But I still value much of what gets posted there but now I just lurk.

I well understand rules and sensible moderation, such as are practiced here, and that can be easily respected. Arbitrary censorship is just not on, and TSFM is, imo, guilty of that.

  24. Just dropped in to say….

PLEASE Fellow Celtic Fans, don’t fall into what could ultimately prove to be a – TRAP!!!

During the mins silence – 1 min-45 secs- if you go by the ref Thompson at ibrokes for the

Disaster mins-silence when Sammi was born, think about the reputation of yer fellow fans and that, special connection which has been forged by Lennons Lions and the, Celtic support. The Green Brigade in particular.

Please stay a move in front of the games of the – Anti Celtic/Catholic/Irish establishment.

As you know I have a deep mistrust of authority, but my point is/was there are very few populations in the world who have not been threatened by their own soldiers.

I don’t agree that soldiers are needed, in fact I strongly disagree, that is all I was trying to say.

Soldiers are rarely there to protect the population, their first duty is to protect the regime paying them, IMO in modern terms they are all mercenaries. Our romanticised notions are out of date.

Remember this country was considering assassinating an elected prime minister Harlod Wilson, would the soldiers have done anything about that if it had happened ?

Keeping it simple, when was the last time anyone threatened to invade Britain ?

Our army and its leaders have created more threat to this country than would have happened if they were not there.

I agree children with limited opportunities should not be held responsible for their masters bad decisions, trouble is, they are not children for long, I really don’t believe it’s healthy.

  26. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

I shall respect the miutes silence tomorrow as will young ACGR. I’ll do it not because I’m told to or because of anything to do with Celtic. I’ll do it because I want to.

Kevjungle, I hope this does not result in a negative press for our club tomorrow. It plays into the hand of the hun if one or two of our idiots behave like their majority.

  27. Big Pierres 2 front teeth on

think some people are projecting an idea that the poppy debate is catholic or protestant which is certainly is not. How many of you that went to catholic primary schools remember always wearing them when it came about? As has been said, it has been hijacked In some quarters but are we going to give ourselves a bad name, not only as fans but as human beings by ignoring the minutes silence for parents or grandparents who fought? Not by choice and its crazy to think how young they all were! We don’t all have to wear poppies but lets not let how our skinflint bigoted neighbours rewrite what it originally was intended for! They pull In the forces to their midden today but robbed them of millions!… Clueless zombies
