This is not a journey! Respect to the Celtic marketing guys who ran his headline on a story discussing the Champions League qualifying draw, which takes place on 22 July, the same day the players return to training after a short summer lay-off. You can tell when people enjoy their work.
Last week’s article, ‘We’ve missed them and now we want them back’, referring to the absence of Champions League nights, also had a delicious twist. That’s all we want back!
It’s been a good news day all round, with Peter Lawwell handing over a £10k cheque to Yorkhill Children’s Charity on your behalf. The iconic Glasgow children’s hospital closes tomorrow with services moving to the new Royal Hospital for Sick Children.
Delighted also that Celtic received a Platinum Award from the SFA for the standards of their facilities and governance. We have been awarded by more prestigious bodies but it’s good to be endorsed anyway.
Mike Ashley…….. five counsel to enforce a contract! It’s like going into a fist fight with a bazooka. There will be carnage in the weeks to come………..

BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS

11 June, 2015
I am thinking personalised fleeces!
Also, if northern Italy is in mind, in addition to Como and Lugano, look to the other side – Lake Garda. Again, spectacular, and because it’s on the eastern side, the weather is moderated by the Adriatic and so is more settled in summer.
Verona imo is the hidden jewel of that part of the county, wonderful small city, 2500 years of history on the streets around you, great food, and 30 mins from Garda itself.
Train to Venice is an hour or so, although I wouldn’t recommend anyone goes to Venice in peak season unless you’re into crowds – the city is like a London underground train carriage at rush hour. Not my thing… Head south to Modena instead.
I know a few places in the South if you want guaranteed scorchio, but Italy is huge, and each area has it’s own charms. Except Naples that is.
maybe aunties legals have decided to be a wee bit less biased …hehehehehe

Mike Ashley wins injunction against Glasgow club
By Chris McLaughlin
BBC Sport
Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct has won a court injunction against Rangers disclosing confidential information about its retail deal with the club.
It prevents Rangers revealing details of their contract to an extraordinary meeting of the Championship club called by Ashley and being held on Friday.
The Newcastle United owner and Rangers shareholder asked for the EGM to force the club to pay back a £5m loan.
Sports Direct was also awarded costs of £20,000 at the Royal Courts of Justice.
The company had asked the Chancery Division of the High Court in London for its deal with Rangers to remain private.
The application heard evidence from lawyers representing both sides but found in Sports Direct’s favour and ordered Rangers to pay legal costs.
Sports Direct currently controls around 75% of Rangers’ retail operations, but the club say they want to challenge those contracts at the EGM.
The club have also asked shareholders to vote against resolutions put forward by Ashley’s company, which wants Rangers to repay a £5m loan and explain the decisions that led to the club being delisted from the AIM stock exchange.
Ashley said on Wednesday that repaying the loan would allow Rangers to restore some of their retail income.

Previous posts for Jude, not Bawsman.
Although Bawsman is welcome too I’m sure.
The theme park Gardaland is great and much better value than Disneyland.
Horrendous traffic jam getting out of it when we were there.
“… the Champions League qualifying draw, which takes place on 22 July, the same day the players return to training after a short summer lay-off.”
Think you mean 22 June, Paul ? Draw is a week on Monday with first leg scheduled for 14/15 July.

Part 1 of the trilogy has set the scene nicely.
Were the Orcs not in court in Edinburgh today as well for a country wide skelpin’ ??
If you’ve got kids, the north end of Garda is prob best, Riva del Garda has a great beach and all manner of kids type stuff to be doing, plus plenty of evening ents for the aulder crew. Torbole too.
Riva is about an hour’s drive long the lake road, or a 2.5 hour (flat) cycle ride if that’s your thing, from Desenzano and the towns built around the southern edge of the lake.
All good. Spoilt for choice. Prob comes down to availability and what not.
Record leading with…’Ashley gags rankers board’…ewwww sounds nasty…
Sevco to pay £20 k court costs for this morning.
Judge said she was flabbergasted at amont of costs before awarding them,
Sports Direct had allegedly 5 briefs representing them this morning
Thems had 1
dont pick on big guys:))))
A wee word of warning Sports direcyts lawyers produced evidence including posts from BLOGGERS in their quest to prove where the leak came from.
Anybody ever see the episode of Still Game where Jack and Victor represent Pete the jakie up against hotshot expensive corporate lawyers?
Got that picture in my head!!
It has been posted that the £20,000 is an interim award. The judge has asked for a detailed breakdown of costs she described as extraordinary.
As I said earlier on the MASH theme……… “Suicide is Painless”, except in sevco’s case I fear it will be long drawn out and very very painful.
I’m NEARLY feeling sorry for them, but then I think Ah F*ck them!
Tweets from court case this morning

“Counsel for RFC says that “an article in a tabloid newspaper that is full of hyperbole” is not a justification for an injunction”
“Counsel for RFC says they have been in discussions with SD over the Daily Record piece”.
“Daily Record article is merely “sensational tabloid journalism” RFC counsel says, then ends his argument”.
Peter Lawwell at Yorkhill hospital today with a cheque for £10k for their charity before the hospital closes….well done Celtic…
Judge tells counsel for Sports Direct says she is “flabbergasted” by the legal costs claimed.

Legal Costs claimed by sports direct are”shocking” judge tells court.

GardaLand was outstanding. Adults and kids will love it. A great wee spot is Sirmione. Get the boat over. Stunning views.

There is a zombie in my work, who surprisingly is normally an intelligent guy, but when it comes to MASH he sounds just as thick a s the rest of them. And I quote ” King will hold Ashley to ransom over his £5 million. He could buy and sell Ashley so he could. Ashley should know when he’s beaten and should f### off back to Newcastle.”
I laughed.

Another part of Italy you may consider for a holiday.

Music to my ears.

If you’re in the neighbourhood give us a shout.
Hail hail instead of ciao, preferably!

The first real victory by anyone, including HMRC, over Scotlands long-established and favoured sectarian institution – and it finally comes in an English court.
Proof, if proof were needed, of the bigoted and stinking cabal that runs, and had always ran, Scotland.
We are better when open to the world – woe betide our kind should the ‘close brethren’ of nationalism ever get their way and are allowed to practice their dark arts, away from the world’s gaze – the underhand arming of the police, the attempted abolishment of corroboration, the setting up of s national guard type police force with its head hand-picked and answerable ONLY to Holyrood, and of course the discredited and discriminatory OB legislation.
All this done under a concerted chorus of shouts about foodbanks and a fairer society, without ever attempting to announciate even ONE policy.
How many more examples do the misguided and conned need?
Went on hols to Ravello in 2006 Very quite little town.
Popped into a small restaurant and hanging on the wall was the hoops. The only footy top in sight. Italian who owned it, turns out worked in Glasgow and the rest is OUR history…
