Result achieved for Celtic but Danny Lennon will see promise for Saturday

903

It’s difficult to analyse Celtic’s performance last night.  For much of the game the players were clearly enjoying themselves and should have been rewarded with more goals, but Dunfermline were incredibly porous in central midfield.  Ki and Commons were able to stage a passing master-class which was pleasing on the eye.

The fact that the deluge of goals didn’t come is not particularly concerning.  Celtic don’t make a habit of profligacy in front of goals, making chances is more of a problem, so it would be a mistake to read too much into one game.

While Dunfermline were out of the contest for most of the evening they also retained two strikers, something we seldom see from SPL visitors at Celtic Park, so that fact that they were able to construct an attempt at goal five minutes from time was not surprising.

Celtic got what they needed from the game but Danny Lennon, who brings St Mirren to Celtic Park on Saturday, will also have seen enough to let him form a decent game-plan, especially if Celtic play a 4-4-2 with two wingers, as they finished the game yesterday.

He is probably the best striker of a ball which is why I think he was given them but you need to at least hit the target. I agree we will have big Forster taking them if we keep going at this rate!

could i ask this question……………………………where are the orcs getting the money to buy anybody?

    ——————————–

Could be from the sale of existing players in Jan? Makes sense to stock up on cheap pros with experience of playing in Scotland if you have to sell…..

    “Whereas you are kidding yourself.”

At least I’m honest about the team I support.

Do you have any other clichés from the Daily Record for us?

You must be delighted to be 7 points behind Rangers. Is it difficult for you to believe that there are Celtic Fans out there who don’t want to settle for second best, and when they raise valid criticisms of the manager, people like you question whether they support the club. What would you like, a quiz or lie detector test before people post? Do you think I would be bothered to go along to every home game if I didn’t support Celtic?

No doubt you will post back telling me you have not missed a game home or away for 20 years. People like you with Blind Faith would never have got rid of the Kellys and Whites, and would be quite content with Carl Muggleton in goal and Wayne Biggins as centre forward.

Yep, premium package £80 a year. All games home and away from midnight on the day of the game. I think there are some restrictions with European games due to UEFA’s licensing.

Games aren’t live, that’s the only problem but if you can wait a few hours without finding out the score then its very much worth it. Did however have to get up at 6.00 this morning to watch last night’s game before I went to work.

    Sorry, its £80 a year.

Have thought about doing the proxy thing but can’t really be bothered plus I think the package you get is linked to a billing address so that might not work anyway. I don’t really mind not knowing the score immediately as the enjoyment is watching the games. Got fed up searching for links at 3.00 on a Saturday and missing half of the game.

Is it not a worry to you, that after playing well for 60 mins, we then descend into freefall and are hanging on to save 3 points? Do you not get my point, that it was Dunfermline we were playing, not Barcelona. All the Celtic Fans who expressed their disapproval, obviously saw something to worry them. We are 7 points behind, not something to rejoice about,

This is a massive club the finest in the land. One of the greatest in Europe and the world. It will be an honour for you to play for the Rangers.

You are a class act and well worth the £100,000 compensation to Aberdeen. Well worth that amount. What do you think?

    Aluko

Yes I am worth every penny.
