30% interest! Nice one, Newco Rangers, you’ve got yourself a deal there. Suggestions that your business plan has been, and remains, unsustainable and extravagant are patently absurd when you can borrow at the kind of rates a Zimbabwean pimp would get at the height of the ZWD’s recent hyper-inflation episode, although it’s probably worth noting that Zimbabwean businesses are currently borrowing at slightly less than half of what Laxey are charging Newco, solvent ones, anyway.
An administration would be a severe embarrassment to the Newco, less than two years after its incorporation, but in many ways it would be a boon, allowing the club to offload all the high earners and establish a breakeven trading platform.
It is utterly incomprehensible why they have not called in the admins, which itself shines a light on management processes inside the club. No one seems to be asking, “What next?” Getting deeper into hock with a hedge fund is ruinous. Notions that if the loan is turned into shares would be a soft landing for the club are absurd. This is a hedge fund. A HEDGE FUND!! The more shares they have, the more exposure they have, the higher return they will demand.
Need some new players, tough, pay my money. Ticket sales down, that’s disappointing, cut back and pay my money. Got some maintenance work to do, I don’t care, pay my money then see what’s left.
Keep your eye on the sale and leaseback plan, although not until September. They should commission a brass statue of a Newco season ticket holder, touching his toes, with the motto ‘Brace yourself’ below.
The only question left is who will be the complicit front man for season ticket sales this year?
Most people are only beginning to realise the consequences of the events of 2012, or what it means to be a zombie club, walking around, not quite the same as before, with various groups randomly gorging on you. Nothing will ever be as it was. Ever. They should’ve listened, before high-fiving Sir David Murray, then Craig Whyte, then Charles Green. It’s not like we didn’t tell them.
If you’re in the football business, rule number 1 is: Pay your bills. Every other rule, value and aspiration cannot be met without this rule.
Many thanks to everyone who submitted questions for last week’s Celtic Forum. The minutes have been published, and are available here.

Sevco are the same as rangers are guilty of one thing and one thing only, and that is getting away with it, it’ll be the same old same old, they will always be guilty, and they will be back, that’s a cert. let’s face it they’re untouchable I know it and you know it, it is great fun poking at them and slagging them but as they said they will be back, so we need to stop kidding ourselves on here, the stuff they have got away with when you think of it is astonishing, and no matter how bad it gets they will get away with that as well, that’s the way I see it, sorry.

I agree with all these.
Our biggest problem was allowing the sfa to get away with the corruption.
The referees will be on overdrive re the honest mistakes.
We blew it, big time.

I realise I’m just a coward but have decided to take a break from here for a couple of weeks.
No one has upset me nor am I particularly depressed by any recent posts on here…
Its because the FTT is on and after the deflation and anti climax of the result the last time I can’t bear the tension and the feeling we’ll be disappointed again. :-(
Respect to the braver bhoys!

My Dad read your post last night,he lurks thoroughly, though thankfully isnae allowed a log-in. Happy clapping sod that he is.
He remembers it well. His Dad took a ten-year-old fella to the game,a friend’s son. Name of Peter Brogi, his first-ever Celtic game.
As you know,I have initiated a few myself, though thankfully not with this result.
Young Peter, sent down the front as lads were in those days, was right in the thick of the action.
To the extent of a broken leg!
I reckon a difficult explanation took place at his parents’ house that night.
I don’t normally mention names on here, but maybe a few fellas down Blackpool way will recognise that one. It didnae put him off, that’s for sure.
Ask my Uncle Jim. He’ll back it up.

If I remember that was a track for trains carrying coal, it ran north to south vice versa by the old Celtic end, it was only a single track, I used to walk it when I was a kid, and would dreep the wall when it got to Dalmarnock Rd. After that I don’t know where it went.
Looking forward to the first Sevco – Laxey tiff.
Mon the hoops.

Sincerely hope Neil Lennon plays Biton moves Mulgrew forward for Johannsen (if he’s unfit ) and Izzy makes it back to the left back berth. Forrest and Samaras on the bench, and let us see a reversal of the midfield issues the last time the sides met.
Play Chalmers or Twardzik
They are good enough

In addition to the info from Tom Molach, the line ran to the east side of stadium and then parallel to where the buses parked on Nuneaton Street joining with the main line near Dalmarnock station.
There was a railway bridge over Dalmarnock Road until about a year when it was removed as part of the station upgrade and the rejuvenation of the area for the Commonwealth Games.
quonno,

You’re so insensitive.
Why would sevco try to get through this season without admin when it would be a bigger risk to lose points next season..?
There was a line ran north south past the west terracing (Celtic end ) I know for sure.
