  1. Lennybhoy did indeed thanks for that, I’ll be in touch with him over the next few days. Hail Hail Hebcelt

  2. Dropped my Bhoy off this morning at the back of nine to get the Tommy Gemmell bus to Dingwall.

Apparently he’s in the pic that the Daily Record are using to berate the. Celtic support.

His head is bowed during the minutes silence which he says was interrupted by 2 supports booing and about 5 coughing. Others turned their back to protest in silence.

Celtic donated £10k to the Poppy appeal this year, Partick Thistle £3k and the huns had big guns at Ibrox and military personnel kicking a ball around their pitch. As as tribute to the fallen: obscene. As a benefit to those in need: empty gesture.

Wish we could get the ‘single figure’ vocal protesters to box clever. They do Celtic no favours.

  3. Whats the latest on support / opinion / views on the rule breaking rangers tax evasion???

Are we standing alone? is there a groundswell of ethical or moral opinion on the matter, or are we just paranoid in a sea of gutless, spineless subservient second rate amateurs, happy to accept what is given to them.

Football has arrived at its crossroads.. accept the cheating and let them keep their stolen goods, or take a decision to clean up the sport.

Take the wrong decision, and football is dead in this country with immediate effect.

  5. Good goals today. Really pleased for LG and hope he sets records.

The defensive frailties are still there despite dominating domestically. Westies mentioned bringing in a new defence coach – not a bad call.

Wonder if Sportobscene will dub some disrespectful noises over the minutes silence tonight so that wee Pat Snivellin’ can lead a thorough discussion on it?

  7. AndyR53

They dont keep the trophies and titles have them removed from the record of RFC 1872-2012,, then its made clear they are a new club, then go after the personnel that allowed this and turned a blind eye when it was happening, not too much demand in the circumstances

  8. This sums up Glasgow football: Poppies.

    Celtic donate £10k.

    Thistle donate £3k.

‘rangers’ have big poppy display & army show, donate £0.

Spot on.. Bare minimum… The rules of the governing body have been broken and action must be taken.. then let the law of the land deal with the law breakers and let the courts deal with them.

  11. I would imagine that the army display at the bigotdome actually cost the army money, so instead of donating, the huns yet again steal from the people.

Not being able to observe a minute’s silence also distracts from the true obscenity of the rabid, hate-filled, self- obsessed celebration of death that the Sevco followers wallow in. What is it about not being able to exist in your own right unless you are up to your knees in someone else’s blood?

    Dignity and respect indeed

  13. In the GAA in Ireland there is a tradition if anyone who has any connection with the GAA in the competing Counties die that a minutes silence is held. As a huge amount of people are involved minutes silences are extremely common,

What often happens is some drunk leaves out a roar, and immediately a few dozen in his vicinity start telling him to shut up, The guys trying to observe the silence often make more noise then the fool who let out the first roar. The real answer is a minutes applause that stops the eejits in their tracks.

    Well done Celtic

A wee repost from earlier, and sorting this will help our defending immensely ?

A personal opinion, our defending on corners or free kicks, and a serious football point We pull all our 11 players into the box to defend, this allows the opposition to put 9 of theirs up against us, we are also unable to break quickly with this set up Fed up saying, if we had to leave 2 players at the half way line, any team taking a corner or free kick and attacking would then have a max of 5 players in our box against 9 of ours, drastically improving our chances of getting the ball as we outnumber almost 2 to 1 in that situation Now I do not blame Ronny for that, we defended the same way under Lenny No idea why, but creating problems for ourselves

JUNGLE JIM HOT SMOKED on 8TH NOVEMBER 2015 6:16 PM

Did anyone who went to Ronny`s Open Forum ask him why we don`t leave a couple on the half-way line when the opposition have a corner? I cannot really see the benefit of all ten players in the box. I sometimes think our frailty in this area comes from indecision as players are guilty of leaving the defending to one and other.

I know Ronny will have a reason and I will probably agree with it once I have heard it but, as it stands, I remain at a loss to see the benefit of the current strategy.

    xxxxxx

This question has been raised before. And as before my question is “What problem are you trying to solve?”

The following is in the context of CORNERS only. Not free kicks.

The primary objective of defending a corner is not to concede. Don’t have my laptop to hand with the finer details, but so far this season DOMESTICALLY we have conceded only one goal from a corner. Which suggests we are meeting the primary objective.

Whatever perception you have about our defending at corners is not supported by the facts.

Also, we have been known to score on the break after defending a corner.

My perception is that by leaving players up the park at corners would not improve our defending at corners. More likely it would make matters worse.

I was asked to pay $13 to watch the Celtic game today. Sorry. I watched Liverpool get beat for free .

  18. corkcelt, 7:54 pm

Fair enough but the situation today and in previous years is preset.

It’s a minute’s silence which is either entirely silent or then, not. And the not, no matter how few are involved, allows it to be reported

  19. Stairheedrammy on

Has the Daily Record dusted off the cracked crest image yet, calamitous defense, ffs we lost a goal In four goal romp away at Dingwall. When we play attacking football we will leave gaps. Give me a four one win every week and I suppose that will also keep some of you miserable toerags happy that you have something to complain about.

I watched the West Ham game yesterday and loud shouts were heard during the silence, the media there don’t see it as an an opportunity to kick their supporters so nothing was said about it. They had their copy written at the start of last week on this,Minot give them airtime.

  20. Excuse me but we don’t have to take any lessons in morality or behaviour from the likes of the Daily Record.

A handful of eejits who cannot keep quiet for a minute never ever equates with having a board of directors that ran two illegal tax avoidance schemes for over a decade!

Don’t hear them say anything about Minty,CampbellOgilve and King dragging the deid Huns through the gutter!

    PS.

Real Madrid concede from a corner. They should think about getting everyone back in the box to defend.

    And adopt zonal marking.

we really are caught between a rock and a hard place-

very good win today showing off ronny’s achievements – LG’s great form, giving rogic the chance to show what he can do- all due to ronny – but we live post molde – we know we will do this but can be beaten well by mediocre teams in europe – so what do we do

    – new manager

-spend 5 million on the defense

    – nothing

damned if i know what to do

  25. Another thing. When today’s match kicked off I was in the lounge at Boroughmuir Rugby Club. They have various TV scenes and the sound was turned down so there was silence anyway.

While it was happening I looked around the club, which is in a posh party of Edinburgh not far from Tynecastle.

There was maybe around 100-150 in the lounge with only me watch the tele.

Guess how many Poppies I spotted?

I was there because my youngest was playing against the home side who were the favourites for the league until we pumped them today in a very exciting match.

    Not one Poppy.

What you see in the BBC and other channels is poppyganda.

  26. Good on you Margaret, I hope you enjoyed the Liverpool game. Is there any particular reason why you decided to share that information with us.?

I can’t comment on the game but I liked the score.

I think SPL games should cost the same or less as EPL games not more.

Is that a good enough reason?
