Can you imagine offering £5m for the first-choice striker at any team on the Champions League knock out rounds? I’m less concerned about the forthcoming Juventus game, which will take care of itself, but Celtic hope to have three Champions League qualifier rounds in July and August. News that a food supplier has taken legal action over a £16k debt is not surprising. These are hard times for many people but when you have not, or cannot, pay a debt, at least be gracious about it. Suggesting your creditor is seeking publicity by raising the action is very poor form.
Ironically, if there is one club in the whole of Europe who would benefit from regionalisation it’s Kilmarnock, who are stuck in an impoverished league with their remarkable infrastructure. If only they had some vision at the top….

Just scrolled on from previous post,can rarely catch up with present conversations and yesterday internet 3G connection was down.
Many were posting on tv series. My son,last summer when I was home,downloaded several for me. I’m getting through Game of thrones just now but the first I looked at was Kelsey Grammer in Boss,now older and having lost his cherubic charms he played the corrupt Chicago mayor well in a gritty tale of bent politicians in keeping with the old maffia traditions.Only first series but good.
I also read of the sad death of someones pal in the recent Algerian trouble,but he was also remembering having a laugh to this day about causing a cafuffle over the British national anthem and being “hail,hail” ed for the laugh and I thought, how strange is the different senses of humour. Personally re anthems I think they all should be binned they belong to the past,however every country seems to have one,mostly terrible dirges,the French one (the music) has a bit of go in it.
Now I stay in Thailand and as many will know morning and evening theirs is played and in public places everybody stands still. If I am around I stay still as a gesture of whatever you may wish to call it, it doesn’t put me up or down. However if I carried on moving ,talking or singing or whatever I don’t think it would give me a laugh for the rest of my life.Strange old thing the sense of humour!! But as the French (them again)say….
