Georgios is hugely important to Celtic on Champions League duty. His presence and experience is crucial, but his ability to hold the ball up, often the subject of frustration for some in SPL games, is fundamental to Celtic’s chances of playing at this level.
Georgios Samaras hamstring injury, coming late in the first half against Kilmarnock, is a carbon copy of the injury he picked up late in the first half against Berwick Rangers two years ago this month. Hamstrings mostly to go early in games, or early in the second half, before players muscles are properly warmed and stretched. It is unusual for a player to get well into a game, when limbs should be stretched, before picking up this kind of injury. Time for a rethink of the player’s preparations on cold days.
I only saw around 10 minutes of the Scottish Cup tie at Tannadaice this afternoon but was unfortunate to witness Ian Black twice make an offensive hand gesture, once apparently aimed at the Dundee United support. If he was wearing green I’m sure he would be dealt with.

never ever again will we see an own goal like this today – even after the last couple of years their incompetance is unbelievable. 3rd division against spl, bring what support you can, cup tie, anything can happen, get them rattled etc. etc. what do they do ?- hand all the momentum to the home team. beyond belief – they are lead by ….. dunno, words fail.
Any third division team could do with a cup run and beating an spl team would do wonders for morale /feel good factor and sales. hunbelievable.
it’s a great lesson in the boycott debate. many on here put more money into the club than I do and when they get so frustrated they suggest a boycott, I respect that but usually don’t agree. the best way to get your point across is support your team and even better if they win. there’ll be thousands out playing in sunday leagues in the morning following that principle, maybe laughableco could do with dropping down a league or two and learning something about football clubs.
Sevconians are fick
Does anyone think that reality will slowly but surely be landing with the Sevconians or will they display their usual trait of being delusional ?
Surely even they must realise their place ?

Doing well, thanks mate. Took the 2 boys for a wander in Balloch park today with plan to call into Balloch House on way back. It worked a treat and meant I got a couple of chilled pints while they had ice cream.
Hope all is well with you and yours……let me know when you are back home and we can meet up for the long awaited beer. Cheers

Their delusion will maintain until they go bust again
Some of their comments following their defeat today exhibit that the hubris and delusional entitlement continue

Re boycott
An interesting proposition that sevco couldn’t afford the cash up front for the tickets
Add subway as well
Judicial law?
Lloyds chemists
DU battered Sevco 3-0…….then the mugwumps went down to 9 coz they wanted to see red and their wish was granted.
Black, imo, got himself sent off deliberately so he could flouncily act out like the spoiled wee brat cardboard hard man he aspires to, the real thing being beyond his grasp.

Surprised you ain’t heard that about not being able to pay the tickets up front.

stringer bell,
Not really,
I’m still depriving them my Sports package money and seeing the game, plus my beer.
What if my local has another provider?

Was actually thinking about the family harmony bit, thn pissing off to the pub to watch the game. A wee light hearted observation.
:-).
Diets, soap, water, deodorants, apologies, sense of fair play, integrity, (sporting or otherwise), medium sized tops, toilet paper ( and toilets in Manchester), cutlery, intelligent discourse, taking responsibility for one’s actions, not abusing their spouses tonight, sobriety, a sense of proportion, ecumenism taxes.
Also zey don’t want soggy chips.
After today Sevco will be
boycotting boycotts.

I thought it was a diversion tactic from the support cause they thought they’d get humped , which Greengo ran with to curry favour with the orcs

Spot on mate, the Tally Ho was the Celtic pub and Star & Garter the Sevconian one.
Poetically it’s amazing how real life mirrors football….the Tally still thrives , the Star burnt down many moons ago!!
over on etims , a good read.

did Sevco not boycott the name KEVIN?
Yeah, Kevin Drinkell was changed to Ted, Kevin was too Timmy a name
Well it makes as much sense as boycotting by far the biggest game of their season.
Stupid stupid hunimals.
It’s been a good day.
And tomorrow should be even better.
So much to look forward to.
As sevco go boycotting away.
By Christmas they should be walking backwards.
