Scott Allan back, Newco will have a plan!

423

Scott Allan had an enormous August, feted by more than one club before joining the champions, so the emotional crash caused by his subsequent injury must have been significant. It was great to hear him return to action with the youths against Hearts last night. We’re competing in three competitions in the coming weeks, so there should be ample opportunity for Scott to get his feet under the table.

I’m a bit curious at reports Dave King and other Newco majority shareholders have agreed a plan to pay Charlies Green’s legal costs, “should they be ordered to do so by the court”.  Aye, very good.  It’s all a bit of a let down to me, who was hoping to see Dave take on the courts, before coming to an inevitable satisfactory outcome with them.

It puts a hitherto unknown limit on the modesty of Mr King, who has now apparently accepted his authority is below that of the Scottish court system. What we haven’t heard is what that plan is, who is going to stump up the cash, or who is going to make up the trading shortfall for this season.  I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.

With no assets to secure and the prospect of a criminal trial rendering the business unsustainable, further investment at this stage is an act of considerable faith. Such acts do happen, think back to our own John Keane in 1994, who paid £1m to stop the Bank of Scotland putting Celtic into administration. It’s just this kind of act doesn’t seem to happen at Ibrox.  I wonder why?

  1. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on 27th October 2015 9:04 pm: “Some of ex players are in goal scoring form tonight. Irvine and Gardyne at Ross County, Denny Johnstone for Morton, Ross Wallace for Wednesday”

And don’t forget Glenn Loovens’ keeping a clean sheet against Giroud, Campbell, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott. Who’d have predicted that one?!

    Dave King’s latest statement suggests….

Nevah in the field of football conflict have so many been duped so often by so few.

    Now that was funny.

Big chips, Glenn set up one of Wednesday’s goals, also.

Oxlade -chamberlain was subbed after three minutes by Walcott who than was subbed himself , later in the first half.

Very enjoyable seeing Arsenal getting a doing. Didn’t like them much before we played in the qualifier and the way Fabregas and Eduardo were hitting the deck in each qualifier, added to my dislike of them.

  5. Dallas

Just phoned Marcus to congratulate his team. The Dingwall boys are happy. Celtic Development Squad in the Highlands and thriving in the clean air. :)

  6. SAINT STIVS, 9:57 PM

He was a couple of years ahead of me at school. I had a run in with him once in front of two of his pals who nearly wet themselves when I called his bluff and he shuffled off. Smug, vain, useless wee (though that has certainly changed) blowhard that he was.

He owes his entire career to being in the right place at the right time, when the BBC had to be seen to bring in more ‘regional accents’ and there was no one his age on air in Belfast

  7. Good Evenin All.. Hope you all good and now talkin all matters footy and Hoops !! (don’t be drawn please by the anti Celtic Media who constantly circle hoping for a crumb to feed on).

Wee question… anyone noticed that the wee band of Ultras/Supporters or whatever, that started smallish in the Jock Stein upper, section 444 in the corner, has got much bigger recently?? Wonder if they a splinter from the GB, a kinda Turquoise Brigade. They got a drum now, and although no ‘statement’ banners on show, they certainly have their own colours on display.. they do sing and make a bit of a noise.. I like it.

H H and COYBIG (and for our new GB splinter group.. COYBIT).

Delaney’s, County have certainly benefitted from Lennoxtown.

County musy have had at least twelve ex celts on their books over the last four years.

It must be very pleasing for Marcus to get playing regularly , same with Jackson Irvine.

Anytime I have saw County this season, Marcus and Jackson haven’t looked out of place. Along with Liam Boyce, they look like County’s three best players this season.

Another ex-Celt, Scott Fox, has done well in goal for them.

From earlier, can we expect an announcement from DU on a suspension or fine for Paton’s conduct ? And when will the SFA announce their intended action ?

Leigh Griffiths was done for singing, it may have been mining singing, but fined by Celtic and the SFA

Let’s all watch what happens now with Paton, for assaulting a fellow footballer

Delaney’s, Marcus must enjoy going into training along with your other nephew, Chris.

Have you checked if the Lions bus is going to Dingwall?

The only members of the old guard still going on it , I believe, are Gal, wee Duffy and my pal, Michael.

  15. Its a shit toon bud. 3 miles and three hundred years from the port. I had a few scuffles with some locals in the pubs till I stopped going.

However the giant ROF housing development sees an immediate demographic change.

Plenty of young hooped and bumble tops.

    I feel hope.

Style Mile Vandals eh, hmmmm, I like that… whats the criteria for joining?.. is there an initiation ceremony? an age limit,? (I don’t mind lying), uniform? (I’ve got a Fergus bunnet).. if I just turn up, will I get in??? Would like to find out more.. Who do I write to???

ps.. ah’ve also got a wee bit of form, an can handle masell.. (just in case ).

Delaney’s, I have a bit of street cred with my son. A guy in my work is in the Green Brigade and my son has met him a couple of times.

Sky sevco news reporting the incident at training today by announcing ‘more controversy’ at Celtic. I didn’t realise we had any controversy going on the now. They highlighted Nadir’s bite on the Dundee player last season.

Good night all and sleep well

  20. The hugely contradictory evidence given in court today by former Celtic employees Mark Wilson and Matt McGlone poses a real question mark over the character of one of these men.

While I have no way of telling who is telling the truth, it is very clear that one is being economical to say the least. The zombies are full of praise for the full back and sticking it into McGlone and it would be easier for us to believe the former Celtic View man given his evidence.

However if you look at what happened in court and read the reports of what was said then as a reasonable man I think that McGlone comes across as the more reliable witness. If this is indeed the case you can understand the anger he has displayed on Twitter towards Wilson.

If Wilson did make that stuff up, under oath, he should be thoroughly ashamed of himself. Makes him the MSM Timmy darling I suppose.

Now it is over to the SFA to deal with the convicted criminal Paton.

  21. Winning Captain

I do not recall DU taking any action at the time of tithe incident, awaiting proof through a court case ? And now they have a convicted thug, who attacks fellow footballers.

Should be sacked tomorrow, for disgracing their club

  23. I said a while ago on here Wilson, who i had liked prevs, was turning into a souptaker on bbc, i got shot down, Thems the breaks.

  24. And as James F has mentioned music fans, there’s a cracking documentary on Keef on Netflix, ‘Under The Influence’. (2015). Some great footage of the Stones, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Howling’ Wolf, with input from Tom Waits among others.

And a great story of how Richards mended a relationship, broken over 20 years, with his oul da’. For a guy who spent so much if his life high, he seems well- grounded.

Free 30 day trial for Netflix last I looked.

Just don’t forget to cancel if you don’t want, or can’t afford, to keep it.

  25. Best bit about the whole paton trial was when Zaluska said to Wilson about him being with paton” Im Telling Paddy Mc Court”….Classic…LMAO.

    Winning Captains 2311

I was thinking along similar lines re the contradictory evidence given by Mark Wilson and matt mcglone.

I struggle to imagine Lukasz Zaluska would be shouting about shooting Huns and phoning up paddy McCourt so wilson’s evidence doesn’t sit right with me.

The intriguing thing of course is that Wilson was jettisoned by Dundee utd almost immediately after this incident and, despite only being in his early 30s, can’t get fixed up with another club.

It’s as though Wilson has been blacklisted by Scottish football clubs for some reason.

I think there is more to this incident than meets the eye, certainly more than was resolved in court today.
