Scottish football as it should be

614

Leigh Griffiths has had plenty of uncomplimentary discourse written about him this season, most of it deserved, so it should be recorded that he was the first Hibs player to return applause in the direction of Celtic fans yesterday, closely followed by his team-mates.

This is the way football should be. For too long our game has been poisoned by the unique kind of rivalry you got in Scotland. More of the same, please.

You can contribute to the 1254125 1254125 call to ensure Celtic retain our affinity with our founding cause by buying a raffle ticket for a fabulous framed Celtic top, signed by the equally-fabulous Seville squad.  Do it today.

Willie Wallace had a great time signing copies of his Heart of a Lion at Waterstons in East Kilbride and Falkirk this afternoon. East Kilbride was busier but the photos of stock Falkirk (below) before and after tells you all about his day. I hear our most recent treble winning captain came alone for a book at East Kilbride.

We’re at Waterstones, Stirling, on Thursday evening for late night shopping, will confirm times tomorrow. If you can’t make it along you can still order your signed copy below.

  1. EDB I trust your post to 67Heaven was a joke, if not you should cop yourself on. Its not the length of time a guy has been posting should count its the content of the posts that matter. If 67 Heaven took issue with someting Kojo said, he is as entitled as anyone else here to have his say.

jude, not sure of your point, Victor obviously was there, I must say I really think Tony Watt has a lot too offer and could go on to big things. I’d hate to see him walk at this stage, obviously sommething has gone on, how serious it is we can only guess. Hopefully it can be patched up.

    If,and its an if,there is a concern then I hope we don’t over-react.

I do not condone indiscipline, however everyone can make errors of judgement ,so Celtic should address and move on unless lessons not learned.

We do not want to lose potential.

I can recall speaking to Jack McGinn when Charlie Nick was leaving,1983 I think, and recommending someone I had seen running riot for St Mirren,Frank McAvennie.

Reply was that he was a bit “unruly” or words to that effect.

He signed for us 1987 for £750K………..still unruly.

Point is Celtic should not over-react.

    Stephbhoy,

As a support, we can often be guilty of over-hyping young players, but in the case of Watt, I think he has the potential to be a decent player for capably of performing in the SPL , and coping (without being a standout) in Europe.

As for the others, sadly , and it’s only my opinion, I don’t see McGeough or Twardzik, being any better than players like Paul Caddis, or Paul McGowan – hope I am wrong

  8. Re the clown in the pink tie . That will teach me to read back first , sorry bhoys.

I have to fess up any doubts that Lennie was not the right man for the job have long since disappeared. If he stays with us I honestly believe he can become the all time greatest Celtic manager.I think he is aided and abetted by our chief executive Peter Lawwell a man who will keep us on a sound financial footing.Players will come and players will go but in Lennie I trust I believe we have a long term vision and a long term plan and I trust Lennie to deliver it. H.H.

20:20 on 27 May, 2013I parked the car in Penman Ave yesterday and as I approched the car a young boy was walking his dog with a full hun kit on, top, shorts and socks. I thought to myself why would any parent let their kid out dressed like and not fear that some nutter would have a go at him.

Imagine a young hoop doing that one in different circumstances… ouch..

Each to their own, but I would support 67 Heaven miles ahead of Kojo.

In 67 Heaven’s 5 minutes on CQN he has done more to support, both financially and morally the charitable causes on CQN than the multiple poster ever has. I have of course had the privilege to meet the former, a true gent, so my view is of course tainted.

Having had the privilege of meeting you I am indeed surprised by your posting.

that goal will live long in my memory, be used his pace well, but it will not forge his whole celtic career, he’s got lots of improving to do if he wants to become the main man at celtic imho. if hooper leaves this summer would you have watt as first pick?

I posted on here abt 10 days ago the walk was leaving from a car park in School Street Whifflet in Coatbridge less than 200 yds from St Marys chapel. Well there was young lad from Motherwell found murdered in that very car park on Saturday morning. Surely they wont leave from there now out of respect for this young mans family.
