Secret meetings and sensationalist news

205

The headlines screamed today of secret meetings between Sevco owner, Charles Green, and SPL chairmen, as Green attempted to convince them to change direction and vote Sevco into the SPL.  Jim Spence reported exactly the same on the BBC at the weekend, crucially adding how little impact the pleas had and that the SPL vote was certain to go against Sevco.

‘News’ that three clubs were prepared to back Green is just another way of reporting that at least eight clubs will vote against.  A suggestion (which came from Kilmarnock) that SPL clubs vote in secret ballot instead of an open show of hands is laughable and will be dismissed.

Tomorrow’s SPL meeting will be a lot less significant than today’s Scottish Football League meeting.  More on this later.

It’s refreshing to see the other clubs saying that the SPL/SFL/SAF will not be allowed to bully their member clubs into a hastily arranged marriage of inconvenience. They have done themselves proud.

Its bewildering why Kilmarnock stand out as the sole hun backer, I can’t imagine that stance will attract much favours either from away fans and even a portion of their own fans. Its remarkable that the likes of lowly Stranraer will make a stand for a principle and the likes of Kilmarnock will not.

I think Killie should pay for their stance.

The MSM backed a big loser, they misjudged public opinion, they backed themselves into a corner.

They are now hanging their hats on the hope that financially the SPL will be poorer, Well I’m afraid in real life not all judgements are made 100% good against 100% bad. Sometimes in life, it’s harder to do the RIGHT thing. If that means an end to the private jets, helicopter flights and succulent lamb then MSM should accept it and remember at the end of the day, UK taxpayers paid for all these things and not old hunco. UK workers pay more tax so that old hunco didn’t go without titles

And a helluva lot more people than the ibroke tea wummin lost their jobs because of the ibrox defecit on our economy

The one thing to remember in ALL of this fiasco is that old hunco brought this upon themselves and no one should be held responsible for their troubles other than them. Despite the oft repeated MSM mantra about financial damnation for all without sevco.

This 16 million, or 18 million loss that will apparently be sucked out of Scottish fitba, as spouted by various MSM/SFA/SPL bawheids, How much of this 16 million quid is going directly into sevco coffers and is not for the benefit of any other Scottish side? How does the alleged 16 million quid compare with the 150 million quid that has already been paid out to old hunco players?

Can Scotland deal with another Liquidation from the likes of HMFC or KFC for example if they enviously look at debt free sevco still playing as normal

The MSM should hang their head in shame, but shame is a word they don’t seem to understand

Chick young is still saying it wasn’t David Murrays fault. Ghod help us.

They offer to apologise only if they are allowed to twist the rules again. The reason for an apology should be because they are admitting contrition for a wrong doing and seeking forgiveness. Not conditional on more rules twisted.

They owe a damn sight more than an forced apology. Insulting and nothing less.

I want Fat Sally standing on the Parkheid centre spot while his epaulets and medals are stripped from them in a foreign legion style. That might be an apology. A conditional apology will never ever be accepted
