This evening we received clarity on two items first reported here and on several other locations months ago. Sevco have accepted the 12 month player registration embargo handed down by Lord Carloway’s Appellate Tribunal as a condition of their application for membership of the SFA, while Fifa have granted four former Rangers players permission to sign for new clubs.
The SFA, under president Campbell Ogilvie, took every step possible to alert Sevco that if they did not accept the transfer embargo a more severe penalty would be imposed on Rangers, whose licence they are trying to acquire. Hopes of “elimination” from the Scottish Cup as an alternative punishment were based on false logic, and were also just silly.
Sevco disputed the embargo, hoping the SFA would offer to set it aside, as it tried to set-aside so many other rules to accommodate them in recent weeks, however, the best the new company could achieve was an accommodation to allow them to stock up on players over the next five weeks in order to off-set the effects of so many players ‘walking away’.
There is a chance this decision will save Sevco a second season in the SFL Third Division but there remains many hurdles for the new club to achieve before they start and complete a football season.
No mention yet of what the SFA and SPL plan to do with the plethora of other disciplinary matters due against Rangers, or how they proposed to prevent their own independent judicial process from reaching an inconvenient verdict.

Cheers
Thanks Terry – just bought it.
Coorslad,
O did think as much, but I’m still suspicious as to why there has been nothing more from an investigation that required a news blackout, if I remember correctly the bombs arrived after the blackout started, the post office publicised the bombs when they found them, there was no delay in reporting.
So how is the original investigation coming along, the ome they posed the blackout for ?
Is the match on tune in radio ?

Being reported Southampton paid £800,000 for Davis.
Seems a bit mental when they could get him for nothing. Maybe it is his pay off to rangers for all those years picking up a tax free salary…
What times the K O and is it on the box?
Second half is underway at Firhill.
800,000 from Southampton
Does that mean they can pay Hearts what they owe for Driver!
Only fair surely?

Twardzik who fires well over
ken we’re all at Firhill, but is anyone listening to Nick Faldo’s commentary? “5 degrees upward hitting at 5 degrees down converts to a cut” he is even more boring than when he played the game.
Auldheid,
I think it has bece abundantly clear the political and other influential parties have delayed the EBT decision to allow time for the corrupt to regroup, and repackage, just another example of how deep corruption is ingrained in British society and governance.
49 The home side double their
advantage. Erskine’s shot is blocked
and Lawless finds the corner of the
net with an accurate finish.
Hearts have been paid by the SPL using the huns prize money.

Canamarlar, bombs, blackout, never heard that..The Celtic shop in Derry was positioned close to the Fountain estate,Protestant slum, the words of a fellow that lives there..I don’t think the shop was targetted anymore than other shops that get the ocasional window broke..If a bomb landed in the Celtic shop, they would have sold it..it’s nothing more than money to blame for it closing..

Apologies if asked before
what is the size of the crowd like at firhill?

Coorslad,
Don’t you remember our manager being a target last season ?
IIs there a handsome hun contest on at Georgie Squ? About 75 contestants there already.
I wonder if the winner is chosen by a show of red hands. (Let me see those fingers….) ;-)

Richard Wilson stuttering his way through a grilling by Cosgrove on the BBC.
Hurting hun doesn’t describe it.

Time for Celtic shareholders to sue the sfa
Southampton pay 800,000 to sevco for a player they could have got for nothing?
Is souness back managing Southampton?
Apologies if anything similar has been posted before but the arrogance of Sevcorangers is typified in this one episode.
The SFA delivers its verdict to cries of naming and shaming those involved but its decision is upheld by the judicial panel to cries of outrage about how draconian the punishment is and how they’ve been punished enough already. An appeal to the court of session which might put all of Scottish footballs european involvement in jeopardy is “successful” in that the punishment is determined , as Sevcorangers argue, to be ultra vires.
But when there’s a sniff of worse to come suddenly its suddenly ” Err , ok , we’ll take the original punishment. Let’s just forget that we argued it was ultra vires , shall we? ”
Incredible. The only thing thats worse is that the SFA are prepared to agree this. It should have been remitted back to the court of first instance – the judicial panel – to deal with as they saw fit.
Moral let alone sporting integrity demands nothing less.
