Sine die Murray for Rangers lying and cheating

953

“The appeal is dismissed.” With those words at the Supreme Court in London at 9:52 this morning, Rangers tax cheating was established as fact. The charlatans who manipulated Scottish football fans were shown to be the disgrace they are.

Rangers made unlawful payments, totalling many millions of pounds, to footballers, who, by the club’s own admission in court, they would have been unable to recruit if they had to pay tax and National Insurance contributions for.

They lied to HMRC.

They also hid documents from HMRC, which only came to light during a City of London Police raid on Ibrox.

They hid documents from the SPL and SFA, failing to honestly register dozens of players.

They cheated the tax man.

They cheated the welfare state, the NHS, the police, councils, schools. They cheated the Army and other services.

The SPL’s (now called Scottish Professional Football League) Commission into these matters must now be set aside. It was conducted on the assumption that Rangers acted legally. Lord Nimmo Smith was clear that his conclusions were predicated on this point.  A fresh commission is required, we cannot just allow the biggest cheats in British sporting history wander off into the distance.

The SFA has failed to call Sir David Murray to account, or the other directors of Rangers, who had explicit responsibility to ensure the club acted within the laws of the land and within the rules of football, both of which it failed to do.

Murray should be sine died. God knows, I cherish every moment Dave King controls things at Ibrox, but he was a director of Rangers with legal responsibility for its actions. They should all be censured.

  1. Dallas- as far as I’m concerned it happened the minute Murray took over.

Everything done on the never never.

Probably paid more in tax on my wee wage than he has done in 20.

Paul Gascoigne had how much offshore? No questions asked. Laudrup, Stevens, Woods, Butcher..all above board..aye right.

E-mail me though not back to next Monday. Hope you and family are all good!

That is 1 avenue to go down.

Maybe a crowd-funded newspaper article in the Herald (Written in French ofcourse)

  3. Consider the following…..

So earlier today, I am the FD of TRFC and am back at my desk this morning and I am taking out 4.6—5.6 million out of the Forecast cos of those duds last night…….now its breaking my heart cos am a RRM……..And am thinking Jeez Peeps its all over by……………… This is reality! Guess the month?

  4. Years ago when Tims made claims of referee bias we were laughed at as paranoid because we could prove nothing.

Then came Dougie Dougie where he lied to Neil Lennon and we had some sort of hook for his removal and would have got Dallas had his Pope’s e mail not got in first. The agenda also changed from bias to incompetence because whilst you could not prove bias, you could demonstrate incompetence and that at least got the debate underway on individual refs.

Today has presented another opportunity to change things but if we stick to the stripping titles agenda we will again be treated as biased.

So we have to change the agenda and not let the media and SFA form it for their own ends .

To that end Celtic’s statement is spot on. No accusations, no outcome sought just a review of the position since 2012/13 when the LNS Commission was in session.

Has anything emerged since then that makes the LNS Decision Unsound?

If not demonstrate it. If yes in what way?

How does what is found change what was decided?

What is now the correct decision based on all known facts at this time.

    Two stages.

A Review of LNS and the advice the SPL took in deciding not to appeal.

Then based on that ask for a new commission/investigation with recommendations or justify letting LNS and the sanctions stand.

If Celtic are looking forward to a review on those lines and the SPFL refuse, then is pitchfork time.

Lets not play their game and play ours.

  5. FOLK seem to forget that scotish football is subsidised by the scotish government……maybe they are unaware about the goings on today……shurely they must come out a and give their versions about the corruption……..they daren’t speak out about murray after all he gave them them a donation a few years back…..quite substantial in fact.

  15. Auldhied, any expectation in the short term from CFC?

If there is a God he definitely blessed the Lisbon Lions.

They showed the world how football should be played. The Dutch noticed and football has never been the same.

It became a science as well as a sport. Thanks to Jock Stein.

The immortal Lisbon Lions sowed the seeds of sportsmanship the like we will never see again.

Despite the philistines and bigotry from you know who here we are 50 years later reaping the rewards.

The only things in the way of justice is the PLC’s indifference and the SFA’s prejudice.

The Lisbon Lions came directly , and largely completely , from the ( Bob ) ” Kelly Kids. ”

He also brought big Jock back from Llanelli to play and subsequently manage his Kelly kids , a name derived from the Busby Babes of that era.

Not to mention, in passing , how Bob Kelly stood up to George Graham of the SFA over their decision to remove the ” Eire ” flag from Celtic Park.

The Libon Lions didn`t just happen.

    They were created.

Thanks, in large measure , to Bob Kelly and the Celtic Board of the day.

    The constant ?

The anti-Celtic stance of the SFA and the SPL .

That`s where our focus should be.

They are the enemy , not the PLC.

And I am 100% correct. Let me splainit to.

In their efforts to maintain income from their “corporate customers” our corporate PLC gave out names and addresses to the cops of celtic supporters to the Scottish police in an effort to allay issues and maintain corporate income. Even a corporate ignoramus like you can grasp that.

  25. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

MARGARET MCGILL on 6TH JULY 2017 1:45 AM

The key is a coalition of supporters.

Ideally from every SPFL club , but hopefully from the majority of all Clubs who wish to see a “level playing field” in future and some form of retribution for past infractions .

Like you , I would hope that the Celtic Board make some significant intervention in what is a blatant case of cheating the taxman and trashing the concept of sporting integrity.

Again , a joint statement with other Clubs would be much more compelling .

Nothing , however , is more important than the health and safety of all associated with Celtic F.C.

No. I’m a believer in the scientific method.

I believe there is a Celtic FC statement on that particular subject warning supporters that they are under surveillance and may be held accountable for their actions .
