Six Celtic fans

1375

As six Celtic fans face the prospect of months in a Dutch jail if police evidence is preferred, take a look at this CCTV video from the Euro Pub in Dam Square:

This is no more than the strong bullying the vulnerable.  It is shocking and affected more than just Celtic fans, other innocent bystanders were picked on.

What can you do about it?  We’re looking for around 40 more bucketeers to collect before the Aberdeen game on Saturday for the legal defence of the six Celtic fans.  You’ll need to get to the stadium a bit early, bucket shaking will be required.  That’s all.

If you can help, email dambhoys8@yahoo.co.uk for more information. You’ll enjoy it.

Thank you.

Remember the Q&A in the Columba Club, Blantyre, tomorrow. I’ll be there with Phil Mac Giolla Bhain and Paul McConville. Tickets available at the door, we get underway at 8pm. See you there.

If you have not been to Celtic Park since the last home game, be prepared for pandemonium around London Road on Saturday. No one will be able to walk or drive from London Road up Kerrydale Street to the Park. Check out the open routes here and get there early.

  1. Jeezo, birthday tainted by today’s news.

In the past i’ve had 5-1 to the good guys on Lubo’s debut on my birthday.

    Today……sour plums.

One thing that i can’t escape is the lack of comment from Police Scotland. So c’mon m’f@ckers, what transpired with your liaison with the crackheads? Not one dicky-bird of comment – which for me speaks volumes – on the situation of law abiding citizens supporting their (not your) team abroad! and being brutalised by your brethren.

    No comment. Next. Job done.

    Angry and older.

TET, they sell good stuff airside at EDI. Have you seen their whisky shop? Mucho mucho there to likeee.

I’ll get a few wee liveners pre flight as well, I’m practically a local in there and they’re good with the samples if they know you’re buying.

  3. During Tommy Sheridans trial ,where he was defending himself I recall…anyways, he left the court one of the days, and when he was nearly home, he realised he left his case in the courtroom, so the bold Tommy went back to get his papers etc.

    When he gets back to the court, it’s as expected empty, apart from the cleaning lady, Tommy walks in to the court, the cleaner says what are you doing her, Tommy says I am just after my holedoll…..cleaning lady says…ffs Tommy, are you no in enough trouble with your wife as it is >}

Neustadt, indeed we are, well except the hun wans. They’re as thick a shite, just like their Glasgow brethren.

When are you back in angus bud, we could do with some reinforcements for the Angus Goat Protection League to man the barricades when zombies visit our lovely wee towns.

  8. TET – Heheh.

Used to chat wi’ Tommy on the train to Edinburger. Good guy, had his card once, but so did several others (allegedly).

Don’t agree with 100% of yer postings, but you hit the nail on the head with that one.

BTW I think the 4th team were Dinamo Zagreb.

  11. ACGR

No, it’s been many moons since I was air side at EDI, and the shops were shut, it was about midnight I was there.

It was that many moons ago, I was over from Ireland watching the bhoys, Mrs TET waswith me that time, and Roy Keane was playing that day, Stan scored a couple I think against Aberdeen, we normally flew from prestwick, but for some reason that day it was edinburgh, that was the last time I was there, 2006 ish, but I could be a year or so out, too much vino sort of scrambles the old grey matter.

  12. ACGR …………..dec 27th through to 6th jan ….dads 90 and so I,ll be seeing the bells in with the finest man I know ….plus he has a collection of seriously good drams that have to be honoured and that will taste all the better with him goodself clinking on my glass ….braw

  13. Neustadt-braw- thx. Had day off and watched `Hero’. 2 Hours and no sign of Big Billy!

    Shocking! :-}

No strategy required – when enemy is a fanny, don’t split hairs!

  14. This cannot be allowed to go unchallenged, if that means bigger buckets, so be it!!!!

If this means that we, firstly, rescue those who are being held, then that is the priority!.

Following that, we must retain a competent Q.C., whatever the cost! I for one will never

accept, especially after Saville, that Celtic Supporters, are anything but great followers

of our Club!. If money can be of assistance, then someone just tell us where to send it ,

as we have done so on so many occasions!.

This MUST be fought tooth and nail! We have nothing to loose but our hard won dignity!!!

    H.H.

  15. Damn! Damn! Damn!

No matter what happens – acquittal/ retraction/ appeal – those involved in today’s court events will never get front page coverage akin to the ‘guilty’ sensationalism.

Mark my words – this could go full circle and be quashed – ultimately innocents will never enjoy the notoriety given to the so-called guilty.

This is/ was a poor result for justice today!

  16. Hamiltontim is praying for Oscar on

It’s been a long ol night.

The news from Amsterdam had me on the verge of tears and the anger is only now beginning to subside.

It’s hard to come to terms with what actually happened in a Dutch courtroom earlier this evening. But the reality is that 5 Celtic supporters will currently be lying in a prison cell knowing that in just a few short weeks they will need to return to fight their corner once more.

    How must they feel?

How must their families, who will be lying in hotel rooms, be coping knowing where their sons or brothers are currently having to spend the night?

Most of the 5 are relatively young, certainly of an age that many on here could be their fathers or mothers.

Think about that just for a second.

That could be your own child, incarcerated in a prison cell and all because you passed on Celtic to him and he subsequently got caught up in some of the worst police brutality that I personally have ever had the misfortune to witness.

The battle begins again in the morning.

  17. Watched Tommy ‘Ahm a Soshalust so ah Um’ play 5 a sides once.

His ability levels would have caught the attention of the Orcs. All perspiration with nae inspiration.

Laughed so hard when he claimed he was nearly the first Kafflick to sign for Deadclub.

Gordon Ramsay would shun him for the lies he tells.

  18. TET- Cheers mi amigo.

Neustadt, if you plan on going to the big Glasgow derby game on the 1st let me know.

I’m planning on driving down with young acgr. In fact, maybe he can drive and we can fly, if you get my drift. You can bring the bridies and drams.

The daily record have excelled themselves with that headline. How many of these dead club supporting bastards that masquerade as journalists are in orgasmic heaven right now that they’ve had the opportunity to pen that crap.

They’ve been waiting for two years to get a front page to trash our club and support since the demise of their beloved hun.

    Disgraceful reporting.

The Big Guy has what it takes, his Stride is perfect for counter attacking away from Home, allied to the pace we have on our wings, when they urnae clipped like they are at the moment!!! :((

This AC Milan game can transform our season. We need the Win no matter how we get it. If we get played off the park for 93 minutes then score a winner 10 seconds later, that is gonnae have to do me. ;)

The upward curve is very obvious but we are mixing with the biggest boys with one hand tied behind our back.

  23. goodnight The Celtic minded …..a wee repost of my thoughts from earlier ..

.well the dutch are going to need more than a boy in cloggs with his hand in a dyke..

another situation they are totally out of there depth on…something very braw will come of this though……The Celtic throughout the world are about to show them what being more than just a club actually means ….and they will hear our Thunder…Hail Hail ….

  24. ACGR- I had the dis-pleasure of hearing Wiggy purporting the ole `same club’ pish tonight. No challenge from anyone. Funny how he can’t remember why it went tits up but he can remember that it’s `still the same club’.

Kikinthenakas, cheers pal. That looks most acceptable.

How’s the hip, and where’s that soup bone you promised me?

  26. ACGR

The hips sore, only on co-codamol now, managing to use the arm crutches and just about getting up and down the stairs. As for the soup bone….a dug ran away wae it…

Disgusted at tonight’s events…the tone was set by Strathclydes finest letting them away with murder….I am sure a decent Dutch QC would be able to run a coach and horses through that decision.

Anyway the Zhotel is fantastic and the Les Corts area around it is very nice plus the metro stop is there the staff were very friendly and looked after us well.
