SPL stalemate leaves bare truth narrative for Rangers

643

A stalemate was one of the more positive possible outcomes from today’s SPL meeting.  Such are the layers of intimidation which have been levelled across a spectrum of football clubs, bodies and individuals in the last week, it was difficult to imagine SPL chairmen standing up for sporting integrity after Sandy Jardine’s ominous words.

Unfortunately, for the Magnificent Duff and Phelps, they will have to shred plans to blame someone else for the shambles they are, kind of, administering.  Their creative talents will be taxed to the limit to explain for another two weeks why it is in creditors interests to consume available monies while Craig Whyte has not moved an inch in 10 weeks on demands for his shares of stadium security.

The narrative of this story is also important.  Angry Ally could have blamed the SPL chairmen for Rangers imminent descent into oblivion, and demanded to know where they live, but this would have been a corruption of the truth.  Rangers will not die because of the SPL or SFA but because their own misdeeds of the last 20 years are about to catch up with them.

This will be their final narrative.  Be angry at those who administered and profited from the EBTs, no one else.

Re the Bouncy, it was done at Love Street copying a Petrol advert with a kangaroo, from Shell I think in the early 90’s. I remember watching the St Mirren fans do it. They would hit their heads with one hand at the same time as jumping up and down to the same words that the huns hijacked. Have they ever had an original thought? No…

So who were we copying in the 1980’s when we were doing it in the jungle long before the stupid huns started it?

Now, if they liquidate after 17:30, will that be counted as today, or is it the next business day.

It’s just I’m expecting my prize for today’s prediction :0)

Can someone tell me exactly what round we enter the Champions League next season. Is it the 3rd qualifying round or the playoff round? Are we seeded at all? Does anyone have a list of the current possible teams we can draw?

Said it before but we should try and sign this guy

  7. Didn’t manage to post after the match yesterday. What a great day my son and i had.

Sitting six rows behind Ally, he took plenty of stick from everyone around me.

Hun on RM has unique fundraising idea after GB display:

‘Another thought, do they have rights to use our logo, I don’t think anyone at Rangers would allow them to do that with it.

The club could get some much needed cash off these tossers….sue their a**** off’

I have no recollection of it in the Jungle or of its prehistory.

Whether its association with the vile murder was original or an adaptation of an exhisting chant may be one of debate that will never be resolved.

However its current use is what we are parodying , for me that is tainted ( can I use that word here?)

We are trend setters , not followers.

It is round 3 (the one before the play off round). So Celtic must get through 2 rounds but in both they will be among the top seeds as 15th seeds overall.

Round three consists of 20 teams and as things stand Celtic will be in the top 10 seeds.

If Bayern win the CL then the Belgian Champs go straight in which means that the Swiss Champs go into round three as well but are seeds in the same half as Celtic therefore we canny play them in round 3.

  21. could be wrong…

but i seem to recall in the jungle in the 80s we did “let’s all do the bouncy” as opposed to their “bouncy bouncy etc” version.

mind you, it was generally just the middle of the jungle, under archie’s gantry.
