Anthony Stokes is in the best form of his Celtic career at the moment, arguably the best form of his life if you overlook his stunning cameo at Falkirk. It’s hard to know if this is related to no longer being in the shadow of a more favoured son, or if Anthony has just got his ‘stuff’ together, but his intervention was absolutely crucial in our only Champions League win so far. He had all the wisdom necessary to bate an opponent into a clumsy foul.
The psychology of a three year contract, worth more money, before performance bonuses, than the player will be able to spend is not always a good thing for a footballer, but the competition for a starting berth up front for Celtic is acute. On the back of his winning goal on Sunday Amido Balde has been talking about his ambitions to secure a regular place, Teemu Pukki is guaranteed nothing while Georgios Samaras has been used regularly as a striker. Anthony will remain under pressure to perform.
All of this competition will come into sharp focus in Amsterdam next week. Celtic will come under pressure for most of the game, but this is something they are comfortable with. We will need someone to exploit the openings Ajax will leave in their defence. Put your money on Anthony for the George McCluskey role.

Good Evening Timland.
Hibs are shite………talking through my empty wallet.

70. Denny Johnstone did the hardwork getting the ball to the byline before George turned it in to double the young Hoops’ advantage. 2-0.

I can see hearts getting a second. Hibs clueless.

No it’s not
It would have been if you phrased it differently

Apologies I’ve been out visiting.
I’m not disappointed at your stance. That, I get and respect. You’ve made it clear on a few occasions what your view of the long standing cheating of the Huns is and the perpetual support they’ve received from many aspects of Scottish society.
Believe it or not I share your revulsion, anger and disgust at how this entire thing has been manipulated and covered up. I don’t feel that any other team in world football would have got away with what they have.
However, my disappointment was at your reference to those who will choose to attend a Celtic semi final at Ibrox as ‘uber Tims’.
As I mentioned earlier I didn’t attend against Kilmarnock in 1994. Like many it was a difficult decision but ultimately it was the right one. For me anyway. However, I also respected those who did choose to attend that night. So there are circumstances which would see me boycott, I just don’t see that non attendance at a semi final at Ibrox involving Celtic will make a jot of difference.

Sorry to hear about Big Rab today, my friend. It was indeed a pleasure to meet him and I am sure he would have been fantastic on a Friday night CQN quiz with his Celtic knowledge.
My thoughts and prayers with the family tonight. He has joined a new clique today
Take care and HH

Hibs down to 10
McPake off, for an in your face tackle.
Hibs captain ….straight red
After a first half of pretty engaging football the second half is a demonstration of almost everything that makes you weep about football in this country.
Semis at the Matchbrox Stadium – semis rarely attracted much more than 40,000 combined.
Final at the biggest football stadium in Scotland 10,000 more ordinary fans at final.
This is a good decision all round.
What would be interesting to find out is if Sevco share the semi pot of pennies or the combined pot from semis and final.
Hamilton tim, you think the huns got it good compared to teams elsewhere? You should investigate the favours given to certain sides from Communist countries. The huns had nothing on that lot.
Hibs 0 Hearts 1
Seen this film in a different colour a few times in the ’90’s.
john o..,
I keep trying to impress, it doesn’t matter who supports the resolution, you attaching a type to the resolution, appears to associate it with a certain type you consider unattractive or unsavoury, only serves to create division and make the resolution a partizan subject and you continue to do that even in your last post. It appears that is your only desire, to create division. Why ?
Collum loves being on TV,
Gollum must have a bet with Paddypower for bookings being in double figures…

That’s my opinion yes. I don’t believe another club would have benefitted from the scale of lies and deception from all facets of society that the Huns have.

I had already stated I would be bhoycotting the Scottish Cup when they let that wee bigot Novo make the draw. An absolute f***in disgrace he was allowed to do it after his Twitter outburst of paedos and why don’t you go home.
Holding semi finals at ibrokes is Ogilvie at it again.
Taxi for Fenlon….

83. McMullan goes on a run before dinking it over Shaw to stretch Celtic’s advantage. 3-0
85. McMullan breaks on goal but unselfishly plays it in for Lindsay to stab home. 4-0

My deepest sympathies. May God keep big Robert.
Canamalar, nonsense. I didn’t seeks to attach any type to the resolution. I don’t care if some people seeking answers are the type I mentioned. The people have valid concerns. I won’t write more as I only seem to be seeking to divide according to you. Good night.
The difference between Hibs tonight and Hibs against us was that the ref gave them everything and let them away with murder against us.
The Shoe on the other foot tonight.
The Hun team always gets the benefit in Scotland from officialdom and every team that plays us gets the benefit !

From what I’ve read, the two games at ipox will generate the same money as the final.
The reason it is not a reverse scenario, is the quicker thems get money in the bank…the more likely newco will survive.
