A big well done to everyone who participated in the efforts to send Vanessa Riddle to Philadelphia for crucial medical treatment. The £500k required was raised yesterday.
Brogan Rogan’ brought the issue to the blog and Taggsybhoy arranged the CQN Music Quiz earlier this month, our first formal activity for Vanessa. Penfold gave us a signed Celtic top at the quiz which raised an incredible £5000 on eBay (plus gift aid) from a Celtic fan who, quite simply, gets what following this club is all about.
Not only did he pay £5000 but he told us to keep the shirt and use it again! We then raffled the shirt on eBay and raised almost £1400. You are all part of an incredible story by an incredible support.
The draw for the signed shirt took place at Uefa headquarters in Nyon, you can watch the video of below and find out if you won.
Our thanks again to Andrew in Belfast for his tireless help with the site this week. The new ‘whyte’ template is in place and we’ll continue to restore functionality.

Maybe time for a new song bhoys – Hey Hey we’re the Celtic!

Even if there was an agreement the goalposts have moved and CFC are quite within their rights to repay in line with League rules – 14 days. Amazing how you can go without paying TAX and NI for months, have a Big Tax case hanging over you and it is still Timmy’s fault!
Keevins and Spiers – someone should ask if they were going to buy a house or a car and the persons they were buying it had a financial cloud hanging over them – would they still go ahead and enter into an agreement? Know the answer don’t we but Celts should still pay up for the brethren.
Kojo whit is with you an Keevins a few bhoys on here dont like what he says about Celtic and you rush to his defence
Its not the first time I have heard you stick up for him on here
A question Kojo with no linguistic riddles ie plain speak
Do you agree with Keevins that Celtic are acting immaturely in relation to the tickets for the Ibrox game
TDB who likes you a wee bit more than Keevins
Koto
With all due respect, you are wrong this time.
I listen to Snyde, hoping beyond hope that the programme will bring something new to the ongoing saga regarding the skint mob.As you are probably aware Keevins is not on every night, thank God.
Just a small thing,as I know you are a stickler for correct spelling etc.,my nome de blog is FANADPATRIOT.I wish you well.Slan

Paul replied to another poster today saying there was NO agreement re the ticket money.
It’s all made up in the warped minds of the hun media, slap Celtic down as usual, scum every last one of them.
Maybe somebody can correct me, but I thought Duff and Phelps (the MBB’s Administrators) had 14days to work on the case then list their finding, actions, and so on.
So where is it? They were very keen on press conferences, etc a couple of weeks ago.
What have they done in 2 weeks? A big fat zero for the creditor: just ask DU, Dungfermline, et al.
Time to bring in Hector’s Men methinks.
Maybe we should give the Huns some of the money up front. That way if it goes to plan with them we become a creditor and get inside access to their situation through the administrators.
TET
Thanks missed that – not been on today.
As suspected though the agreement only exists in the barren wastelands of their minds.
Perfect opportunity for Celtic, to do the right thing and delay payment indefinitely.

if Celtic paid 300K to Rangers in upfront match tickets and the game failed to go ahead, Celtic fans would stand to be individual creditors to Rangers for their individual match ticket money,, or would Celtic be expected to refund their fans and expose then self to 600K,, no way should we pay them until they have fulfilled their part of the bargain, consider what what 600K could purchase or secure?
Scottish football clubs facing financial difficulties because of the administration proceedings at Rangers should contact HMRC if they need help, the Government has said.
Treasury Minister David Gauke rebuffed calls for tax officials to proactively contact the 11 other clubs in the Scottish Premier League offering assistance.
A Westminster Hall debate, secured by Labour MP Thomas Docherty (Dunfermline and West Fife), had debated the role of HMRC and the tax liabilities of Scottish football clubs.
Docherty hit out at the management of Rangers under owner Craig Whyte, and claimed the club had not paid PAYE or VAT to HMRC since May last year. He also told MPs two clubs were owed ticket money by Rangers.
Docherty said: “The TV deal in Scotland is worth approximately 1% of the deal south of the border. The annual wage of a Dunfermline player is less than the weekly salary of a Manchester City, Chelsea or Manchester United squad player.
“The recent events at Rangers FC cannot be seen in isolation.”
Docherty described the ticketing debts owed by Rangers to Dundee and Dunfermline as “simply disgraceful”.
He said: “This money does not and never has belonged to Rangers. It’s not only morally wrong, to hold it is nothing short of theft.”
And Docherty said it was known money was also owed to other clubs, including Hearts.
So he asked the minister: “I would like HMRC to proactively contact the other 11 clubs to establish what liabilities they have as a result of Rangers going into administration.
“I believe it is right and proper all 12 clubs should meet by the end of the season their obligations to the taxpayer.
“But they need to be given space to sort out the mess caused by Craig Whyte.”
Responding to the debate, Gauke said: “Of course Rangers going into administration is a huge event, not just for Rangers but for all the clubs in the Scottish Premier League.
“HMRC are conscious of that and I’m sure will listen sympathetically to any approach where this has caused serious short term financial difficulties.
“I think the onus is on the other clubs to take action, not on HMRC. There is no reason to delay contacting HMRC and they will be very happy to engage with clubs who have particular issues.”
Speaking earlier in the debate, Conservative MP Damian Collins (Folkestone and Hythe) said: “It would help football a lot if there was transparency on the ownership of clubs and the major assets of the clubs so we can see who controls them and where the money comes from.”
SNP MP Pete Wishart said he was disappointed at the thin attendance for the debate, which saw only two back bench speeches other than that of Docherty.
He said: “We get so few opportunities to discuss Scottish issues…yet not one of (my Scottish colleagues) could be bothered to turn up.
“I think that’s a disgrace and says a lot about my Scottish colleagues.”
Wishart told the debate it would be “inconceivable” for Scottish football to exist without Rangers.
And he said: “Others are experiencing just some real, real difficulties and pressure.”

sorry if it offends!
The DSS are going crazy at the moment stopping everyones benefits. My brother who has Parkinsons has had all his stopped and the family have rallied round to help. I think its incredible that they can do this to a guy who up to 2 years ago had worked all his life.
wishawtim
tell him to appeal the decision, get a WRO from his local council or housing association.
Scottish football without Rangers is “inconceivable”, is it Pete Wishart?
You should have stuck to the keyboards. Because I can conceive a scenario where there is no Rangers. And it looks pretty damned good to me.

A simple solution to ticket money question.
Tell THEM to give us 7,000 tickets free and if we are not in liquidation when the time comes, we will give them 7,000 free tickets for Celtic Park match.
That way there is nobody put at risk.
To all those screaming at Mr. Atos,a.k.a Mr.Bastard I would highly recommend this site

Meanwhile, the horrors on Snyde continue to casually chuckle about the criminal organisation that is Rankers.
I am of that age when i had to endure the steroid induced domination of rankers all through the nightmare of the nineties. It was not a good time to be a tim. They were artificially propped up by corpulent amounts of Murray et al money whilst we fumbled toward one disaster after another. I firmly believe- even in the thick of their glory- that their deepest desire was a hidden hope to trample us into the dust.
Any Tim that offers them mercy is a lemming-go do all us a favour and jump aff a cliff.
That seemingly endless dominance of the 90s has conditioned me like one of Pavlovs dogs. It created the illusion of power and invincibility around them. But their demise is real. There is little or nothing anybody can do about. Its all hot air and bluster…no amount of hocus pocus and wailing from any political juju men is bringing their carcass back to life.
Sometimes i think like that Pavlovian dog but that doesn’t make it real.
There are too many insurmountables for even the establishment club to overcome.
snivveler now saying it has been ‘alleged’ re verbal agreement
