Tactically aware athlete needed

I don’t know anything about Stefan Johansen, who is one of several central midfield players Celtic are tracking, but I’m pleased we’re scouting for this area.  There’s no question we are missing a penalty box predator but you could make a case that the sense of calm and control exerted by Victor Wanyama in the middle of the park is a more telling absence.

Nir Biton has all the potential to get there eventually but it’s going to take him time.  He reminds me of Ki, who a couple of seasons ago was fifth choice central mid for Celtic, behind Brown, Wanyama, Ledley and Kayal.  This season I’ve watched him collect and distribute, close space and bring shape to a struggling Sunderland team.

I’ve also watched a bit of Barry Robson since his return to Aberdeen.  Despite his advancing years he remains one of the most intelligent footballers in the game.  His arrival in the Celtic midfield six years ago changed Celtic into a winning team.    You don’t need Pele for this role, just a tactically aware athlete.

How many accountants does it take to tell you that losing circa £1m per month is not a good idea?  Lots, apparently.

    out there regarding our club to let his musings get to you , he lied , he has been big enough to do an interview for CQN , I want to read it , I want to read all these peoples view ( media types ), to see

    TSD – Top level football nowadays,unfortunately,is no longer a game – it’s more like a business,and more importantly,a results driven business.

     

     

    Our manager has a specific job to do,win the SFPL and then qualify for the CL,once the former has been achieved.

     

     

    The stakes are just too high,and the margins between success and failure and far too fine.

     

     

    Win the title asap,then give the younger members of the squad their chance to prove themselves.

     

     

    Every single one of us would prefer a homegrown team on the park,but it is far too risky to throw them into the shar-infested waters of Scottish football just yet.

     

     

    Winning is everything,sorry to say.

    I think we have a lot of talent within our ranks, I’m a real romantic and want all of the team homegrown but I reckon Neil knows a lot mair than me. Neil got the job because he had great success with the young team.

    well where do i begin…just back from my da’s 80th birthday party. what a night,great banter great foot great company…..the music varied from the nat, frank,merle, abba, johnny cash, andy stewart (i belong to glasgow) stuff for the young uns’ etc…then the place erupted in full sing song for the clancys, luke and the dubliners, paddy reilly and especially the holy ground and the black velvet band, everyone in full voice!……i’m a very lucky buoy……
