Taxpayers do not sponsor lazy gossips

1055

I know what you were thinking; Zenden, like Ljungberg, but older.  We need experience in the squad but with Commons, Ledley, Samaras and McCourt all able to stake a claim for the left midfield position this is the last place we need to bring in a 35-year-old.  Best of luck to the player but I’m pleased he has left Glasgow.

Today’s Sun report that a senior policeman witnessed a crime being committed but instead of doing what he is paid to do, he reported the incident to Uefa.  You have to wonder about the veracity of the crime.  The officer will do well to explain his actions if they amount to anything more than a few lines in a newspaper.

We are all partisan in this city but Justice is blind to such emotions and taxpayers (that’s you and me) do not sponsor lazy gossips.

Leggat has been writing negative stories about Celtic for decades – so the fact that he can’t get work in the Scottish media, which employs the likes of Andy Goram, tells us all everything we need to know about the guy. He is totally beyond help.

But any Celtic supporter that takes his rants seriously should get their head examined before Leggat does. He never had any credibility to lose but he is still a bit pathetic. He will probably come to a sad end

As for the Tax Case – the media can’t even report accurately on why the Huns are in court or on the possible scenarios they face should HMRC win. They will have absolutely no idea how the case is developing, although the odds are definitely staked against the Huns.

The media will only divide the deluded and thankfully they are thin on the ground among the Celtic support. We know what their agenda is.

  3. Singing songs, any songs, about the IRA at CP or anywhere away is unacceptable.

If it happened, we’re guilty and should take what’s coming (I doubt it will be much).

    If it didn’t, we won’t.

If you want to sing about the IRA, you’re no better than a hun. In fact, you’re worse.

    That’s it.

    Stop harming the club.

    Let the huns destroy theirs.

I sincerely hope you are correct.in any event, I happen to think the financial meltdown will force our hand in having no choice but to grow our own.

‘Singing songs, any songs, about the IRA at CP or anywhere away is unacceptable.’

The Celtic Symphony isn’t about the IRA.

    It mentions the IRA.

Is it OK to sing it?

Or is it unacceptable to sing songs that mention the IRA?

Would it be acceptable to sing ‘No Surrender To The IRA’?

The Moon Bhoys was probably referring to the Pro-IRA chants we get at away games sometimes. If we ever get punished by UEFA or anyone else for those chants you won’t see me complaining.

young guys who have had enough of bigoted Scotland I will tell you something your grandfather and your father had to put up with much worse many many organisations would not employ catholics. The ones who did ensured that they only did menial jobs the Parish priest was in the main responsible to keep catholics obedient to there masters with a faith based not on love but fear. The Masonic Lodges stll hold a lot of sway in Scotland today but were even more powerfull in the past.Your grandfather and your father didnt cry woe woe it pains me all these free Masons and wee frees keeping me down no the worked hard and diligently to make things better for there children you and I,often at there own peril. We should not be thinkig of quitting and moveing to where we think it will be easier we should be united in a voice for change and look those who want to keep us down and say from Today those days are past we have a voice and will use it in Industry,in Politics,in Religion and we will useour voice and no longer will you keep us down we are going to change Scotland and make it truly democratic and truly free for all creeds and all colours.H.H.

Reference the issue over the religious/policing credentials of the match commander at the recent Rennes game.

If he is a Tim, he is very much in the minority, just as Wiilie Collum is at the SFA.In fact, some have suggested that Mr Collum’s decision making during games involving us or them, reflects that scrutiny and his own desire to be seen to be untainted by any Catholic bias.

In the police, the new recruit and especially the minority new recruit is expected to show his or her acceptance of the “culture” within the organisation.

In this case, Smith would be very, very aware that he was being closely watched by all ranks – right up to the Chief Constable, for signs that he was one of them and was prepared to “nick” one of his own. Black police officers in England faced this test and maybe still do. Female officers were faced with a similar unwritten test over their suitability and toughness to do “a man’s job”.

This phenomenon is not restricted to the police service, the army or even schools. Every profession/job has its very own version of it, and even fans of football clubs have their covert and overt rules for acceptance by those who seek to protect their version of the club’s culture.

    Recalling William Hill

WILLIAM HILL,as featured in the Racing Posts legendary bookmaker series, was undoubtedly the greatest to call the odds.

On October the 5 1994,hoping to get more information about the man, rather than the bookie,i had a letter published in the Sporting Life. That morning i got a call from a man in Birmingham telling me that William was a great cricket fan and took a party of 178 cricketers to his holiday home in Jamaica where he wined and dined them.

The following morning i got another call from a man in ballinrobe,County Mayo, telling me that his father was of Hill`s best friends and they went fishing every year in Lough Corrib.

Hill had another connection to Ireland. He lied about his age so he could join the British government.Members were known as the black and tans.

William was one of the youngest and was stationed in Mallow,County Cork.He was a frequent visitor to Moss Foley’s.where Mrs Foley kept a mindful eye on him because he was so young.

Later in life he was an annual visitor to the pub and it was drinks all around.

William Hill,as well as being a great bookmaker, never lost the common touch, which is always a great plus.

No worries…At 11:00 this morning I wanted Spain to win as it was on the CQN coupon. We took 6 selections, four out of five are up. My selection Alloa conceded an 87th minute o.g. If Spain win, my selection, Alloa will have bust the coupon. I will settle for a draw.

  19. Scotland is becoming a very dark and sinister place. Today’s developments indicate that the SNP will allow no opposition and we are being hunted.

Where is our club? Where are they to defend us? Once our police force has intervened in reporting us to UEFA then they are showing their hand. Now whatever the police deem is offensive is against the law. The witchhunt against the Green Brigade is very much on.

Our government will crush any free speech. Catholics in this country are about the experience discrimination and hatred on a level I find hard to imagine.

Where is the catholic church? What have they been promised to allow this debacle to unfold?

Tonight I made my mind up – listening to Radio Scotland try to start a witchhunt against clubs who did not hold a minutes silence today, then tell us it doesnt matter if a song its political if they deem it to be offensive. They find us offensive – so we are now illegal.

I am leaving Scotland…………………this cesspit will fester and I want no part in it……………all these years we fought against the discrimination and here we are. I dont want my daughters to be exposed to this.

  21. A wee aside about Poppy spotting.

Yesterday morning on the 11th day of November. I travelled to Glasgow to catch a connecting train, the 7.30 to Prestwick Airport. I had to walk the length of the Central station to buy my ticket then back again to get my connecting train. In my twenty minutes in the station, casually scrutinising hundreds of people, (It’s ok, I know!) I counted three with poppies; one was guy who sold me my ticket, one was the guard at the platform, who stood alongside his three poppyless colleagues, and the other was a woman commuter. The next poppy wearer I saw, 90 minutes later, was a man waiting to board the same plane as me bound for Derry. That amounts to four.
