CelticRollerCoaster and the Walk With Shay team kindly wrote this piece to update you how your efforts thus far have progressed. I read stuff like this in genuine awe of the people I call friends. Well done to each and everyone one of you.
I posted a more detailed (and excellent) read on the subject a moment ago, which you can view here. Here’s CelticRollerCoaster:
As you know by now as part of our incredible journey to date, we managed to obtain the signatories of the last 11 Club Captains of Celtic on two tops; one home and one away. The Celtic FC Foundation will also benefit in the share of proceeds.
To date, we’ve had an incredible response from all over the country and indeed worldwide (as far as Australia and Bermuda believe it or not) with just over 2,000 tickets already out there being sold by our amazing Green Raffle Army and directly by ourselves, but don’t worry we’ve kept some back just for you!
So, if you have still not bought your tickets, to win some of the incredible prizes on offer and also help these two great causes, please get in touch now.
Remember you can buy tickets by contacting the campaign team directly via the usual methods such as email walkwithshay@yahoo.com, Facebook and Twitter @walkwithshay or from one of our many Green Raffle Army sellers.
We will also be at outside the pools office at the start of the concourse (CQN corner) from 1:30pm prior to the game on Saturday if you wish to pick up tickets from us then.

Its called false consciousness.
It’s all the rage at the moment.
The growth of nationalism in Scotland is another example.
What gets me about you Ernie,is that you espouse to be a labour man.I really find it very strange that you never have a bad word to say about The Tories.Very strange indeed. All your vitriol is directed at the Nats.
Myself, being a Labour activist for around 20 years, when it was a Labour Party, pre Blair,I still to this day find the Tories an abomination on this earth.
I have a feeling it can only be that you have some kind of erotic crush on Ruth Davidson. You ignore “The Dug”,and only ever have bad things to say about Wee Nic.But Ruth?.Never a cross word passes your lips.
As I say,very,very,strange.
Happy birthday Paul 67.You are an absolute star.

nailed it.well said.
Gonna be interesting, watching the parties in North Ayrshire squabble for power.
Split was
SNP-11
Labour-11
Tory-7
Ind-3
Independents won’t give any of them a majority, and the other three don’t know which of the others to hate the most.

I don’t waste my time criticising the Tories on here.
They are what they are. Lower than vermin.
And few if any posters come on pushing the Tory party line.
Unlike the nats, where we have a constant deluge of hypocritical bullshit.
And an intolerant, authoritarian response to anyone who challenges their (your) lies, constantly trying to close down discussion.
Good morning from a cloudy but dry north staffs
Happy birthday Paul ( bold and undaunted) Brennan

How in gods name can the sheep be allocated more tickets for final than Celtic?
Ernie
your description of Tory voters doesn’t do either you or the blog any credit.
And here’s me thinking I am an ok guy
Garden calls
Celtic Football Club has been informed by the Scottish Football Association that it will potentially receive almost 700 tickets less than Aberdeen FC for this year’s Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Stadium.
We have attempted to secure more tickets for the match. Through discussions with the SFA, Celtic has made every effort to ensure a 50-50 split, however, we are disappointed that this has not been achieved.
During this week’s Operations meeting at Hampden The Club put forward a number of proposals in order to maximise the ticket allocation for our fans.
These included:
a review of segregation arrangements
reconfiguration of the Upper South Stand;
the creation of a neutral area to best accommodate supporters through the ‘football family’

Wee Paddy Roberts chooses Celtic over England u20 ‘s , Celtic should push the ist out for a young established talent especially when he gets what we are about.
Meanwhile in govania “sevco are ready to spend significant money on summer rebuild and will splash out £1m on a player if he is right” 1 million , its like a scene out of gold member where doctor evil sets the ransom at one million pounds. This would make sevco worth one million and one pound. Tory party meetings will be all the deluded have to look forward too.
Strongest team out for the saints , if we avoid losing this I would think there is nothing to stop an amazing invincible record. Aberdeen will keep their powder dry for the cup final but it won’t be enough. Hail hail.
Firstly, God created Heaven and Earth………..
….and then along came PAUL67….Who created CQN !
Happy Hoopy Birthday Paul67 !….The 2nd best creator ever….Paul in interview…” Finishing 2nd means nothing…nothing I tell you” !
Hail Hail young man, maybe one day we can have a beer or TEN ?
In a Tory ‘Orange card played’ world some 50/50s are more equal than others!

‘almost 700 tickets less than Aberdeen FC’
##
Outrageous.
It should be ‘almost 700 tickets fewer than Aberdeen FC’.
What is happening to this country?
!BADABING!
I thought they’d won seven!
Ernie
In all honesty I think you are so wrong mate about the proliferation of Nat supporters on CQN. Most people, myself included who vote for independence these days are desperate, disenfranchised Labour supporters. The results at various elections show that if nothing else.
I explained this yesterday.
You and I both know independence is a near certainty. Not out of actually wanting Home rule, but actually wanting a government that represents what we vote for. Westminster knows it too as those wheels are well in motion.
When it happens you will be on here the next day (quite rightly) advocating for Labour in the Scotland’s first General Election albeit in 5 or 6 years.
Now MWD/Turkeybhoy/Ernie the Celtic are playing an important match in what will be a near full Paradise today. So there’s plenty that WE can all to talk about ?
The political stuff usually only leads to ill feeling anyway
Celtic must take a stand against the SFA if they are given more than us
They couldn’t even fill their end for semi final

Well, you’ll mibbe appreciate Labour a bit more now(!)
Enjoy the day’s match,bud.

BMCUWP,
I have to disagree mate, the Tories have taken the majority of their new seats from guess who…feckin Labour.in Scotland…….not the SNP, and the feckin UKIP Nazi’s in England.
IF Labour weren’t in such a mess, this would NOT have happened.
I am not sure of the turn out in Scotland at the moment, but IF it was low, that MAY be another reason for the Tory gains, with labour voters not voting cos of the state of labour ?
I really don’t know ?
Hopefully The Celtic will cheer me up again.
i’ve tried to email THAI TIM the last couple of weeks no reply…..do you know if he’s changed his email address ?

Happy Birthday.
All the best

BIGCUPWINNERS
I confess that I assumed that pro-Independence meant pro-SNP,no question where the vote went. I’ve been corrected frequently since, both before and after the referendum.
There is little doubt that the referendum was a bad result for Labour though,it gave their opponents a chance to highlight them being sided with the tories, and then to bring up their failings.
By that time, there were plenty of them!
As a result, many people have turned their back, people who previously would have voted Labour blindfold.
In any situation,it is more difficult to get back scunnert former customers than to win new ones. Labour is showing little aptitude for either.
BIGJIMMY
That was just a wee dig, mate. Couldnae resist.
I’ll mail TT shortly. If no reply, then we’re both screwed!
Hoopy Birthday Paul67, have a hooptastic day…:)

I don’t accept that.
Hah, there’s a belter of a line in the Record’s coverage of the trial
“The Murray Group sold Rangers after failing to carry out professional checks on Craig Whyte – and expected the media to help uncover his background”.
