WWS raffle updateCelticRollerCoaster and the Walk With Shay team kindly wrote this piece to update you how your efforts thus far have progressed.  I read stuff like this in genuine awe of the people I call friends.  Well done to each and everyone one of you.

I posted a more detailed (and excellent) read on the subject a moment ago, which you can view here.  Here’s CelticRollerCoaster:

As you know by now as part of our incredible journey to date, we managed to obtain the signatories of the last 11 Club Captains of Celtic on two tops; one home and one away. Two very special and unique tops covering 53 years of unbroken history. The professionally designed and framed Away Club Captains top is First Prize in our Walkwithshay raffle along with many other amazing Celtic prizes, with the draw being made on May 25th at Celtic Park so only 20 days left. The Celtic FC Foundation will also benefit in the share of proceeds.

To date, we’ve had an incredible response from all over the country and indeed worldwide (as far as Australia and Bermuda believe it or not) with just over 2,000 tickets already out there being sold by our amazing Green Raffle Army and directly by ourselves, but don’t worry we’ve kept some back just for you!

So, if you have still not bought your tickets, to win some of the incredible prizes on offer and also help these two great causes, please get in touch now.

Remember you can buy tickets by contacting the campaign team directly via the usual methods such as email walkwithshay@yahoo.com, Facebook and Twitter @walkwithshay or from one of our many Green Raffle Army sellers.

We will also be at outside the pools office at the start of the concourse (CQN corner) from 1:30pm prior to the game on Saturday if you wish to pick up tickets from us then.

As well, as the Club Captains Away top, our other amazing prizes include:

A full list of the prizes can be obtained by emailing us at: walkwithshay@yahoo.com

Ive also got his phone number, but IF he’s offshore ?

the last time he emailed me, he told me it’s best to email as he usually can’t get texts or calls when he’s offshore……………..Wish I was “offshore””…in the feckin Bahamas with a few new burds…and plenty of Beers ?

Paddy Roberts ……..There is an old Jackson Browne song from the 1970’s called….” Stay Just a Little Bit Longer”…it’s very good, Celtic should play it to wee Paddy, maybe some kind soul on here will provide the Link ?

    I canny do it.

Or did Jackson Brown do a cover version?

    I don’t accept that.

Fair enough, but there’s evidence, putting aside fickle voting trends:. non-core departmental function being given to regions, closure of military basis, the redrawing of Scottish/English territorial waters (giving Scotland less of her natural oil resources). It’ll be interesting to see what if any strategic installations are built here in the next few years.

The last parts of empire are dissolving.

    Just what I see Ernie.

  4. What’s the big deal regarding the Cup Final ticket allocation ?

Our club have already sold the supporters out by agreeing to a 50/50 split after Aberdeen failed to sell out their allocation for the League Cup final.

  5. Happy Birthday Paul67 & Thank You for providing us with such a wonderful Celtic Blog.

I truly believe it is one of the best in the world in it’s field.

The diversity of topics is part of it’s charm but it’s sad to see a couple of poster’s try to blatantly hi-jack it, to constantly promote their Political preference.

Today is match day in what has been a momentous season but still no let up in the constant repetitive political game of ping pong that will not influence a single vote.

  6. Happy Birthday to our blogmeister!

Great day for a game o’ fitba!

Tesco’s first but needs must :-0)

  7. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Given the Dons support’s poor turn out at the League cup final, it would make sense to sell their allocation in tranches. The South stand (top) areas are the easiest to segregate and should be the last offered.

    Makes sense.

  8. Happy Birthday Paul 67..

May you and your family have a wonderful day..

And once more many thanks for CQN, a lifesaver for this solo Tim in the Valley!

Maybe don’t have the time pedigree of others on here but can I just say happy birthday to you and my appreciation for giving us the forum for many and varied discussions I have enjoyed here

Anyone else think Paddy staying for the remaining fixtures is a reasonable indicator of where his future may

    lie ?

That very thought crossed my mind when I posted the link to the story yesterday!

BR could be the difference to the Boys career and he seems like a sharp kid.

    Let’s hope so..

  13. Happy Birthday Paul, have a great day !

On the subject of Cup Final tickets, I posted last night about a couple of die-hard Dons fans who didn’t know if they’d be going to the final, due to the fact that they don’t have much confidence in their team winning. There will obviously be a large number of ‘fans’ who will go, because it’s a cup final – you know the kind – don’t bother going to Pittodrie all season ( average attendance less than 15,000, i think ). I think they’ll struggle to sell out their allocation, so to propose that they receive more tickets than Celtic is ludicrous, but I’d except nothing less from the hopelessly inept and

    corrupt SFA.

Your right sort of, and I am wrong sort of ?

I have ONLY heard Jackson Browne from 1978 however,

    The Hollies in 1963,

and a guy called Maurice ( Judas) Williams in 1961.

Ive never heard the Hollies version..yet, and Ive never heard of Mr Williams ?

  26. Winning Captains

It was around 2010 that I started posting on CQN and what I recall is how divided the Celtic support were on and off blog.

There was a lot of anger about and that led to Honest Mistakes being placed on the agenda of Open Meetings held at St Mary’s.

I recall being called a hun by a true to form Mr Canalamar (but with a grin I could see) at the end of a meeting and from there Res12 eventually took root and grew.

What was suspected back then is being proved now in court – cheating on an industrial scale.

Res12 tried to uncover that in 2013, but time has caught up on it and the issue all supporters will have to face soon is are they happy that those who caused that divide in 2010, who are still involved in football now, should remain in place?

Just how far are supporters going to let their intelligence be insulted and our club loyalty used against us?
