    Note the last paragraph.

I believe the West stand is larger than the Celtic end.

Hopefully, there will be a contingency in place to issue the Aberdeen tickets in tranches in tandem with a suitable deadline for purchase. Returned tickets would be snapped up by the Faithful.

Surely in everyone’s interest to ensure the show-piece is packed out ?

If West Stand has larger capacity than East Stand does that mean we got less tickets than the zombies for the Semi Final? Have we been getting less tickets at all games at Hampden where there’s been a supposed 50/50 split?

If not, then what’s the difference this time. Maybe someone should explain to the supporters why the split of tickets is not equal.

Celtic statement said we are receiving less tickets than we did for the semi final. It’s a joke.

Happy Birthday Paul. Have a blast.

My sis texted me earlier about it. My reply was that the SFA are seeing what they can get away with.

    Your suggestion? Hmmm,I dunno.

    Not sure whether it’s a belter,a cracker,or a work of genius!

  8. SFA website saying a 50/50 split of tickets, Celtic, and seemingly most news outlets, saying Aberdeen getting 700 tickets more. Someone is tellin porkies.

This is the last paragraph from the Celtic website:

“The initial split of tickets means we will receive slightly less tickets than we did for the recent Semi Final tie. As it is a Cup Final there are a number of contractual rights which the Club is tied to and these have to be fulfilled which naturally impacts on wider availability. We understand the significance of the match and this has again intensified demand for tickets and it is clear that we simply will not have anywhere near enough to accommodate the demand we are currently experiencing”.

I’m maybe reading the second sentence wrong perhaps. But, it looks like whatever quantity of tickets distributed to us, is impacted on by the “contractual obligations”.

Re Hampden I’d a wee look at the capacities of each stand (couldn’t find a definitive) but the West stand would appear to have a greater number of rows than the Celtic end ?

  10. CRC/GFTB- I see someone has went for Sevco in GFS2.

    Hmmm…where’s that Mike in Toronto??????

I see 5 others have joined me on Liverpool, good luck to them :-)

  11. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Overall, the target for Celtic supporters re cup final ticket allocation has to be to ensure Aberdeen are required to return tickets within a reasonable timescale.

  12. Can’t wait to see the line up for today. Video online earlier showed the Bhoys arriving at Celtic Park, Nir Bitton & GMS were amongst the arrivals.

  13. CORKCELT

Hopefully Bitton and GMS are sitting behind me in the players lounge. Yesterday’s men. Although I think Bitton might be on the bench as CM cover

GMS has all the ability in the world.

His lack of progress is IMO due to his head rather than his feet, not helped by the serious injuries he had to deal with in his earlier days.

He has one chance to have a belter of a career. And it boils down to whether BR reckons he’s worth it.

He has to prove that, like Dedryck did. No point feeling sorry for yourself and unappreciated when yer far from first-team material.

    Prove that you are,mate

    BR will reward that.

  16. Looks like Bitton in for Brown, no Ebouie on team or bench. Injured or trouble in Paradise?.

  17. Happy Birthday Paul67

In the spirit of Celtic-ness would you perhaps consider reinstating Kitalba to the site?

  18. Happy Birthday Paul,

And here was me thinking all these years that “67” was for the Lions.
