WWS raffle updateCelticRollerCoaster and the Walk With Shay team kindly wrote this piece to update you how your efforts thus far have progressed.  I read stuff like this in genuine awe of the people I call friends.  Well done to each and everyone one of you.

I posted a more detailed (and excellent) read on the subject a moment ago, which you can view here.  Here’s CelticRollerCoaster:

As you know by now as part of our incredible journey to date, we managed to obtain the signatories of the last 11 Club Captains of Celtic on two tops; one home and one away. Two very special and unique tops covering 53 years of unbroken history. The professionally designed and framed Away Club Captains top is First Prize in our Walkwithshay raffle along with many other amazing Celtic prizes, with the draw being made on May 25th at Celtic Park so only 20 days left. The Celtic FC Foundation will also benefit in the share of proceeds.

To date, we’ve had an incredible response from all over the country and indeed worldwide (as far as Australia and Bermuda believe it or not) with just over 2,000 tickets already out there being sold by our amazing Green Raffle Army and directly by ourselves, but don’t worry we’ve kept some back just for you!

So, if you have still not bought your tickets, to win some of the incredible prizes on offer and also help these two great causes, please get in touch now.

Remember you can buy tickets by contacting the campaign team directly via the usual methods such as email walkwithshay@yahoo.com, Facebook and Twitter @walkwithshay or from one of our many Green Raffle Army sellers.

We will also be at outside the pools office at the start of the concourse (CQN corner) from 1:30pm prior to the game on Saturday if you wish to pick up tickets from us then.

As well, as the Club Captains Away top, our other amazing prizes include:

A full list of the prizes can be obtained by emailing us at: walkwithshay@yahoo.com

Part 1 of our incredible journey to obtain these incredible pieces of Celtic History can be read here (Attach link).

  1. Discussions on bringing in a CH, prompts me to remind everyone that we have Ajer out on loan to Killie.

When asking on here how he is doing, posters say that he is outstanding in the Killie defence.

We need to get him back home to CP, and with the influence of Kolo and Brendan he will be like

    A NEW SIGNING.

You wrote many interesting articles but one that impressed me the most was about Rangers 2-2 Celtic when good guys secured title. See the game few hours after birth and remember so many details…Phiew! Chapeau pas.

Anyway, I hope your mamory is still that excellent. Keep writing interesting articles for CQN and continue doing good things that serve well you and those around you.

    Morning All,

Last two days have been a wash out on the Lisbon front — bloody work, funerals, and my most amusing family interfere with this Lisbon Lark and get in the way but onwards and upwards.

Today, administrative progress is interrupted by some mob called Celtic playing at home and tomorrow I am off to a family celebration in darkest Renfrew.

A few of you will have received e-mails from me just acknowledging a few things and I still have a couple of accommodation queries to sort for late comers, interlopers and people who were going to do a Bertie Auld’s brother — he famously hid under Willie Wallace’s bed in Lisbon when the team were staying in the Palacio.

Speaking of the Palacio, one of the Lisbon dinner goers is going to arrange a mini bus to come into Lisbon and back from Estoril.

Therefore, anyone who is staying In Estoril and who wants a lift in and out should contact me at the usual e-mail address jjoe88@hotmail.co.uk.

Also, we have three readers for the mass (Dan you count as one) but if there is anyone else willing to participate then please drop me a line. Once I have sorted the final details out with the church I will turn my attention to the music etc.

Is there anyone coming to Lisbon who would consider themselves more than proficient with a camera?

We could do with some officially good photographs.

    Dress Code for the Dinner.

I have been in touch with the venue and am meeting the manager next Wednesday but thus far the position is that the dress code will be smart but casual. Shirts and Polo shirts are perfectly acceptable but no collarless T-shirts, Football strips etc (they can be kept for the stadium) and smart shorts are ok but not football shorts, swimming shorts, etc etc

And of course, everything should be GREEN and WHITE or at least have a hint of the same.

I was speaking to ACGR yesterday about raffle and auction prizes and we have a couple of auction items.

If anyone has any ideas re a raffle prize or an auction item which is transportable then please drop me a line.

Lastly, re the big booze raffle — E-bid have temporarily stopped further ticket sales being bought as they have a blanket ban on the sale of booze on the site. However, it has been pointed out that it is raffle tickets which are for sale and not alcohol, but that the alcohol is a prize as it has been on many occasions before without difficulty.

Hopefully, I will resolve this position today failing which I will change the format of the e-bid page and I will just transfer over all the data re ticket sales to the new page. All tickets sold thus far will be valid for the draw on the 17th of May.

    Cheers

It would be great if we have as close to a capacity crowd as possible today to show our appreciation to our players and maagement for a wonderful season so far.

The weather will be dry and sunny today with a north easterly breeze ( forecast by BBC weather) so all those who can get to the game today, do so.

Our pitch should be in far better condition today . The brighter weather we have had over the past few weeks and only our women’s team playing on it since our last home game against Killie on 8/4, will have helped it.

If St Johnstone give us a guard of honour , I want all theirplayers to applaud us on. When they did it 3 or 4 years ago, at least 4 didn’t applaud.

The 250th edition of Not the View is on sale today (£2.50) and will be an even betterread as it was put together after last week’s game at Ibrox.

My bad typing again I meant to type can before do so .

  13. Just back from the shops where I saw the back of the DR claiming that Pedro is saying that we won`t win SEVEN in a row let alone ten. I am sure, if I read the article, it would show that Pedro has made no such claim but it is a sign that even the DR is beginning to accept that Sevco are on a downward path. I would think the intention of the article is to show Pedro as being in his own wee world. He will, of course, be joined there by some of the Loyal but all but the most obtuse `Rangers“ fans will groan at this implied proclamation by Coco.

    My friends in Celtic,

A great day for a traditional kick off time at Paradise.

Really looking forward to it, especially as it will be the last league game I see live this season.

Hopefully a performance and a crowd to enjoy what I believe is the most entertaining team in the UK.

    HH.

Ps : Always love to see youth introduced to our team , but would love to go through the season unbeaten. Both would be great. In BR and CD we trust.
