We don’t need no stinkin’ courtesies

1494

Scottish football has afforded defending champions the courtesy of a home game on the first day of the season to allow the league championship flag to be unfurled at the start of the new campaign for as many decades as I remember.

As this has, in effect, become a courtesy to give Celtic a home start to the campaign in as many years as my sons can remember, we’ll be at Tynecastle on the opening day of the season. Flag Day will have to wait.

That said, I like the idea of taking on Hearts away, then our nearest challengers, Aberdeen, at home. Come through this successfully and we will be in excellent shape for the campaign.

The Aberdeen game comes immediately after the final round of European qualifiers, so we have an opportunity to finish August in a real high – if we get the preparatory work done early enough.

Bring it on.  We don’t need no stinkin’ courtesies.

Haud on, just read back, where is my ignorance grounded ?

For somebody so intelligent that is such a shoite statement and pretty unfounded and another thing apart from your good word writing Res12 what do you feel about Brendan & the bhoys in the upcoming season ?

  2. Macjay – won’t have a cat in hell’s chance (or a Sevco’s?) of getting individual thanks out to so many, but that does deserve a speshul menshun.

Defo our virtual Celtic boozer, i would prefer everything to be about Celtic but I realise everything goes off in a tangent but personally I only respond to posts back to me hopefully mainly about football but when a poster aims a post you have to give them the courtesy if a response, especially when a bit of a dig, thankfully can never take a derogatory post serious it’s some other eijit (like myself) posting on social media ! Am on France for the Euros, think they are a good thing, don’t like cheering in a team in blue but I even trying sing along to their anthem !

    Hi fellow Celtic Fans,

Just back in from a great concert by Caro Emerald at the Hampton Court Palace Festival in West London. As a mad-keen Celtic Supporter I just love that she is called Caro Emerald! :-)

    6-in-a-row will be

All just a little bit of history repeating

“You’re wrong…..Scots Law & Company Law specifically bars THEMS…..from trading as the club that was liquidated…..the SFA membership issues at the time reinforce this….. ”

The Law may well state that. I am not disagreeing.

But the Law has not (yet) barred them from doing much and the local authorities remain confident that they can maintain that narrative in the face of small organised opposition.

This is too big an issue to be reduced to a “We Say… – They Say…. ” level of discourse. I need to know that the authorities that run football know of, understand and will apply Scots Law so it is not a “We Say…” situation.

I’m off to Devon and Cornwall for a few days – leaving tomorrow morning. I will be off CQN until next Wednesday.

    Too complex noo.

Too much information being fed into young people that they can’t really compute it correctly.

The anticipation has been eroded by sites like Youtube.

The wee Jinky vid at the Bernabeu was Electric, they had no idea about him really.

They were Multiple winners of the Big One and this young guy had them Amazed at his God given ability.

Yep…..it leaves me wondering if an appeal by any of the debtors to any of these organizations would highlight it…..;-))

Have a great few days off…….

By the way “trading as a going concern” after liquidation is also against the law, using the same brand name is also against the law, warehouses got shut down for ditching their debt and changing their name, that Govania mob are that brazen they think they are above the law…….

Well it depends who the law is, I suppose
