It looks like Lazio did not prioritise the Europa League this week. Only four of their starters against Rennes have started more than half their six Seri A games this season, three have yet to start a league game and one, Quissanga has started only once.
Lazio are a point behind rivals Roma in the league and two points off a Champions League spot.
They visit Glasgow in three weeks then face Fiorentina in Florence, who currently have two points less than them, three days later. The game at Celtic Park might be too heavy a load for Lazio to risk the full first team.
The return leg comes between a visit to Milan, currently 16th (!), and a home game against Lecce, who are one place below Milan.

Lazio has all the makings of a champions league tie and so it should be … am more excited about all of our European ties home & away this season …. (trying to forget 3-4 game)

I still think from 9th July till now, that a lot of fans/supporters will concentrate on going out of the CL instead of embracing the EL where we can compete at a very high level, and our Euro results that have got us here … and this young team could grow & grow

I dont Post on here very much anymore, but I did Post earlier in the week about the “Daily Record” printing so called “Hilarious” stories about Gasqcoine from former team mates and “Coaches” etc….
I have wondered WHY all of sudden the DR has chosen to print this Guff..but it turns out that ” Gazza the Good guy…Gazza the wonderful” is back in Town…NO Doubt to try and get more Ibrox Chumps to give him more Cash to fund his “Life Style”…as he did with Lineker and a few others.
His “Life style” has been littered with Drunken and Coke filled behaviour, he is a CONVICTED Woman Beater, he has recently faced a charge in Court of Sexual Assault, not forgetting Him leaving a Foul Deposit in the Bath at Celtic Park, for a Cleaner to clean up etc etc…
This last week in the DR we have had a number of former players and a certain Hun Chump called Archie Knox, retelling all these wonderful stories about “Gazza”….and what a Fun Guy he is ???
The latest is Slippy Stevie himself…
I would love to ask these Hun Chumps……” How would you feel IF it was your Daughter that was assaulted by him, how would you feel if it was your wife, Gf, Daughter etc who was the victim of a Sexual Assault by him, how would you feel if it was YOUR mother who had to clean up his mess out of a Bath Etc ,

Actually it’s the opposite, these plastic pitches are supposed to be watered before each half for ‘normal’ movement of the ball. The trick against teams who pass the ball is not to water them at all, a slightly deflated ball helps as well. Man who knows a groundsman😱

**CQN Player Of The Year**
In advance of today’s game and in response to a few quesries I’ve had recently can I just confirm a few things.
1. It’s just a wee bit of fun and nothing ‘official’ in the hope that it stimulates a bit of debate and maybe even gets a few more folk back posting on here.
2. It’s open to all – there’s no ‘signing up’ process and even if you’ve not voted so far you’re welcome to start today.
3. Equaly if you only vote now and again, that’s fine. I don’t keep a register of who’s voting week on week. All I try to watch out for is that folk only vote once for each match.
4. ANYONE can vote – poster, lurker, friends, family, etc – so long as the voting is put in an email (as I don’t see everything that’s posted on here or on the CQN Facebook page).
5. You can vote for up to 3 different Celtic players after each match. So you can’t for example say that your 3 votes all go to Jonny Hayes.
6. The simplest way to ensure I know who you’re voting for is to state the players real names. Whilst I do like quiz questions, sometimes trying to work out or remember who the Prestwick Pele, Skoosh, etc can be too much of a challenge. Similarly, make sure your spellchecker hasn’t kicked in (you should see what often happens with the names of some of our newest signings!).
So, enjoy watching the game today and please do consider, after the match, sticking 3 names in an email and sending it to cqnpoty@gmail.com
