  1. What do Jock Stein, Kenny Dalglish, Danny McGrain, Paul Lambert and Henrik Larsson have in common? – None of them were Celtic supporters.

Didn’t Desmond state it was his children who supported Celtic?

Yeah that’s before they get older & start supporting English Teams

  3. What do Jock Stein, Kenny Dalglish, Danny McGrain, Paul Lambert and Henrik Larsson have in common? – None of them were Celtic supporters. –

And they all have i in their name – except for Paul Lambert.

  4. Why the surprise at yesterday’s loss. Going to our nearest rivals with a new defense would have been seen as football suicide in previous years and for financial reasons we did just that at Pittodrie. Needing to balance the CL exit we sold VVD, but his fee allowed us to bring in some prospects. A blind man could have seen the panic this would cause in our back line if the sheep put any pressure on, and we knew they would do just that. Will likely get a pumping in Amsterda midweek but should begin to see improvement once the big games are out of the way.

  5. I tell you what….when that mob get to the top league next season….if they beat us, there will be fire and brimstone from every poster on CQN.

And you know the score…we have to be better on the park to negate the cheating, that is the way its always been….but the way things are going…I don’t think we are that far ahead.

So…you think its bad now….wait till next season, you aint seen nothing yet.

Celtic’s advantage has been squandered by the PLC.

THE GREEN MAN on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2015 9:21 AM

The problem with having people like DD and PL running Celtic…is that they like to hide when things are going badly.

But when things are good…there they are, basking in the warmth generated by the supporters, milking it for all its worth.

They aren’t supporters….DD is a Man Utd fan, Lawell is a businessman who thinks he knows about football.

Those who fear change, fear it for good reason.

Celtic is being run like the plaything of rich businessmen, who do not care obviously about the team on the park.

There should be a revolution in thinking…..Celtic need to be a football team first and foremost….businessmen who don’t understand the fundamental nature of Celtic, should be chased.

    Get them out.

    We need action.

  9. Yeah Scully Bhoy but @ least they truly played for the Club & Big Jock going on to be a Legend of a Manager as well which the Club reminds us by displaying wall banners around our Stadium

with words stating “Where Legends Are Made”

But how many Legends will we make out of the present group of players we have today,

    or for the foreseeable future?

  10. TD67

Its you that’s at the spin….you wont hear a word against the board, and continue to back them up whatever.

Its time for change…you cannot stop it, no matter what you say.

    Celtic fans will change it.

Open your eyes, or let the pain of insignificance open them for you.

Remind me, what is our clubs mission statement. What is our reason for being? What concieved us into the entity we so boldly and proudly boast?

Why can’t we pay the dishwasher the price of his bus fare home? Why does he/she have to walk in the rain whilst others so smugly get a paid for lift home, in luxury, at the expense of the supporter whom without, there would be no club, no Celtic Foundation?

Open your eyes, for the love of God and our football/charity club… open your eyes and don’t believe convient shit that people with personal investment tell you.

    ============

You seem rather keen to hear progress on Res12 and I think you were absent from the blog a week or two ago.

Canalamar gave an update and I asked any shareholders who signed the Res to get in touch for a much more detailed update.

A few did and were more than happy with what they saw but because of the names involved were advised not to publish anything.

It’s in the hands of lawyers now which explains the pace being slow but had SFA actually answered a series of questions first put to them in April there would have been no need for the anxiety observable in your post.

Not sure who your last comment was aimed at but the four guys pushing it have done so at considerable cost to them in different ways that I’m sure you would admire were you in the picture.

Putting more folk in the picture is what comes next whilst SFA struggle to find ways to avoid answering.

  12. Bhoys, regarding RD suitability to manage Celtic. For me the final straw was being told that he had identified Nadir Cifici as his number 1 transfer target for the strikers position. ” The man’s a certified eejit” I thought. His comments after the Malmo debacle all but confirmed for me that he isn’t up to the job.

    “Celtic fans will change it.”

If the Celtic fans who change it are the same Celtic fans as those who complain ALL THE TIME, then the change will not be for the better.

  14. AKBW1888/TONY D. I hope that post I know a guy in London who owns a pub, said Dermot Desmond and his pals are thinking of buying Banks in Bulgaria…I hope this is a wind up! I have recently read book called Above The Law, it has Irish guys setting up Banks in Bulgaria…. More like The Lying King than the Great Desmondo!!

  15. So last year’s turnover was only £51 m.

What a small and uncomplicated business it is.

Does PL deserve to be paid 1/50th of the company revenues.

    I think not.

  18. I heard he was dead on

    The Green man

You are correct when you say we ain’t seen nothing yet from the referees and that next season will make the Mowbray year look moderate and it’s absolutely correct to say we need to be so much stronger to take the refs out of the equation.

I do not think everything has been squandered.

We still have a strong squad.

It’s getting the best out of them and adding to their strength to make sure that is important.

Young players are all good and well but one or two experienced players to lead them will make us good enough.

Alan, Christie, Armstrong and GMS are good players and will come good for Celtic. Griffiths is a goalscorer but he needs help.

I’m not sure how long Broonie or Commons will go on and Biton and Johansen for me won’t be there forever. Hopefully the latter is away sooner rather than later.

The defence and the keeper need looking at. Bailly looks a decent keeper. Lustig when fit is the best RB in Scotland and we are yet to see Simunovic.

The talent is there. We need to use it better than we have been doing. That comes down to management, training and the system.

Too many are concerning themselves with the team south of the city.

We’ve yet to see the colour of King’s money and given all the legal cases still to come they are not beyond another setback or two.

They are beating teams they should have been beating with ease last season. They have lower league English players and some loans they cannot keep. They are beating semi-pro teams in a weaker league than they faced last season.

In short they’re not being tested although had Hibs been able to hit a barn door from two yards they’d have lost that match with Henderson being the best player on the park that day. So much for all their wonderboys.

All this talk of them spending in January like the reanimating the oldco are pure PR. King has that on his side – the media are right behind him as they are the Sheep (for now).

We have a good squad, we need someone to harness their talent and I believe we need someone who gets the club, the fans and can motivate the players.

Ronny Deila in my opinion is not that man and I have found it quite interesting that so many people are now against the manager while months ago you’d have been facing a barrage of attacks.

  19. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    SCULLYBHOY

I appreciate the point you make. Mine was that they all played for Celtic.

I don’t judge a man in our colours by anything other than his ability. I don’t think you do either. When he puts that jersey on and crosses that white line,he could be Pastor Glass for all I care,if he can do magic on the field.

Equally,Mother Theresa should stick to what she’s good at,a waste of a jersey,IMO(!)

  20. Don’t take this as a dig,but why are the board,DD,PL,RD,above criticism in your opinion? – See more at: http://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/aberdeen-v-celtic-live-updates/comment-page-39/#comments

Lol, I don’t take it to heart, and no one is above criticism, but as I have said countless times when people can defend themselves that’s fine I’ll sit back, but they are not here to do that, I’m not the know all of what the board PL&DD do, not by any stretch of the imagination.

But to me the BS that the agenda mob have in here from them is way over the top.

Now people are posting here seriously that the board PL & DD do not have celtics best interests at heart.

Not I’m not the most cleverest of guys by any stretch of the imagination, but that just nonsense, and these people who post that and get peed of if you don’t debate with them, seriously?

No no,….no one is above criticism, but ffs keep it real, it’s getting like as I said earlier Groundhog Day every time you come in hear, how’s about they say something nice about the club?

Fark me, naaaaaaaa, that’ll never catch on.

  21. TD 67

Your best M8 DD has been totally sussed out, the games a bogey as far as DD is concerned

If he has no intention whatsoever in seriously taking our Club forward instead of bleeding

it dry & running it into the Ground then he should do the rightful thing & step aside & allow

people to take our Club forward not back the way but forward.

Our Club should not be allowed to fall into the hands of some Billionaire who’s sole intention

is to as I’ve mentioned run it into the Ground.

It’s not a play thing or a Toy.

Every true genuine Celtic Supporter has our Club @ heart, we all have feelings & opinions

  22. Maybe the reasons Dermot Desmond has not been at Celtic Park, are he is a Tax exile, he is in Bulgaria setting up Banks, getting pished in London, or Man U are playing at the same time as Celtic?

  23. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

One good thing about a shocking result is that we are pretty much guaranteed to get a decent number of posts.

This means that we have a new reigning CQN1888 and 1967. Until the next time,of course.

    So………….

Who wants to break the news to the current reigning CQN 1690,Mr TONYDONNELLY?

    Arise,Sir T,we are not worthy!

  24. Aberdeen had almost two weeks to rest players and prepare for that game yesterday, and that performance was the best they could muster, it took a sympathetic ref to bring them into the game and a Celtic defence that didn’t deal with a crap high 50/50 set piece ball to win the game. Over the course of the season we will get much better and they can only get worse. That’s the way I see it.

    Hail Hail.

  25. Dermot Desmond looks like a man who should be selling used cars.and you wouldn t buy one off him. He doesn’t,t get it. PL is his stooge, and a well paid one.If either of them were Celtic men the media would be banned from Celtic Park until they behaved themselves. The supporters would with hold their license fees until such times as they showed a modicum of fairness (the BBC that is),and don ,t buy the papers.(I hate this iPad). I hoped against hope that RD would be the man for the job. A year ago I questioned his tactical awareness and team strategy. I did not want to believe he was a dud. But,like WGS in his last season,he has lost the dressing room. A decent manager would be running away with this league, given the gap in resources. The scouting system needs revamped, the coaching needs revamped, and the supporters given something to lift their hearts. As for Sevco, I hope they combust. A vile club with vile supporters.

  26. I heard he was dead on

    Vespacide

Show me where they will drop points other than in Glasgow or Tynecastle.

The opposition don’t put 11 men behind the ball when the play Aberdeen.

    It’s a big advantage.

  27. Neil’s team 3 – 0 down to Kilmarnock and the exits in cup games & Ronnie’s Teams last few results.

The common denominator in all these situations is the quality of the player at the manager’s disposal.

We no longer sign quality players.

Which in turn leaves us vulnerable to hardworking well organised teams por cierto.

  28. BRISBANE 67... Peter Lawwell # Serving up Tripe & Trialists since 2003 on

The huns are not even on the same page as Celtic.

But here is what we need to do.

Get MON or HL in as manager.

Send PL and DD to Craggy island for 13 years.

  29. The Green Man on 13th September 2015 12:14 pm

Right big man you lead of the changes , I will you said DD and PL are not Celtic supporters, prove it and I will champion you,

    Away yi go ya bampot.

  30. I heard he was dead.

Next season…you will see the worst anti-celtic storm in history.

It is already building as we speak.

Meanwhile….our custodians have managed to drag the team backwards, so that next season, there wont be much difference in the quality of us and them.

The PLC want to run the team on a shoestring with substandard spl guff…yet still want to charge top dollar.

That strategy is a busted flush….or the work of eejits who take everybody for granted.

    It wont work.

And if they are wise…the PLC will hide from the fans…I certainly wouldn’t like to be in their shoes if this decline continues.

    HH

  31. Action speaks louder that words TD 67 if the Board DD/PL & Co really do have Celtic’s best

interest to heart for example look many times the Bord have refused to acknowledge a

Supporter being voted onto the Board every time that motion is put forward @ a AGM

it’s voted down by our Board so do they really have our Club’s best interest @ heart?

I don’t think so, they are hiding certain financial matters it’s a no brainer

  32. TD67

I believe the supporters got rid of the biscuit-tin board….it was the will of the supporters for change that forced it.

    Don’t underestimate it.

I will overlook your other wisecrack, lets keep it civil.

Of course Celtic fans have the right to complain. It was the ALL THE TIME part that was important. I thought by using capitals I had made the point . Obviously not. I will try harder to be more clear.

    Cheerio for now.

    JJ

PS Well done Aberdeen. They worked hard , played to their strengths and potential , and deserved a victory.

I wonder if the MSSM will now celebrate that the Premier League looks like a real competition?

  34. TD67

I don’t know if you have noticed….but your view seems to be the minority one on these issues
