Armageddon-SPL strong at the bottom

788

Dundee are nine points adrift at the bottom of the SPL but made a good fist of it against Celtic last night, after a rocky start.  They held their own for a good 30 minutes either side of the interval.  They are clearly the worst team in the league but they are a pretty decent worst team.  Armageddon-SPL is strong at the bottom end.

You and I know the Celtic support, as a group and to any statistically significant level, are vastly better behaved than any supporters of any other large football club.  This is a source of enormous pride but comes at a cost.  Over 20 years later you will still hear about fruit thrown by one idiot, I do.  This is a good thing.  It means that there has been little to talk about these past 20 years.

When you benefit from the greatest reputation in football you are held to the highest standards.  No one will blame Chelsea fans when we drop the ball.  I’ve heard no reports of damage or injury at Dens last night, but 20 years from now someone will tell you what was said by a representative of Dundee today.  This will be a good thing.

Insure Kelvin will get a fair trial on Sportscene……..

Obviously why we are on first for a change

Ambrose, Wanyama and Wilson were all victims of racial abuse last night.

Ambrose took the brunt of it in the first half simply because of his close proximity to the scumbags in that particular stand.

  3. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

Seems the season of goodwill has ended.

There is a full blooded attempt to blacken our reputation going on right now.

The dundee rep said he had “never witnessed it so bad for 20 years” and that his staff were trembling with fear.

Five arrests. One a Dundee fan.

It must have been truly frightening.

  4. Celtic mac

You accused Celtic supporters of sectarianism at Dundee last night.

    What evidence have you??

4 times I’ve asked now, methinks you’re telling porkies.

In answer to your question,I think the backdrop of the advert is Barcelona,as viewed from Montjuic whic was the location of several diving events at the ’92 Olympics.

  6. So … Bbc say its trouble ahead for kelvin.. And poor defending at both goals

Just to top it off… Nish poor header made it v easy for FF

Obviously I wasn’t at the game, but the club should say something about racial abuse, if they don’t, they are only giving those who hate us more ammo.

I see no reason whatsoever that the abuse of our black players should be allowed, the abuse of our Catholic/Irish players is the norm in scotland, but……..unless the club take a stance, we may as well just pack it in.

  8. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

Shoulder to shoulder with Neil and Celtic.

    And that includes her supporters.

Good night to all my friends in Celtic.

That obviously does not include the huns who are posting on here tonight.

    You know who you are.

And you’ll be straight back at me for this post.

  9. So there’ll be no condemnation of racist chanting directed towards Efe Ambrose, then, in progressive Scotland?

Not a chance, with the sectarian, bilious and wholly creamcheese msm laying out the agenda on a daily basis.

Ony one team in Scotland, and they’re draped in the racist butcher’s rag and up to their knees in blood, Fenian preferrably, but anybody’s will do.

  10. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

    Fred c…

That Dundee are really an exceptional football team.

Just look at their record this season.

  11. Canamalar @21.05,

Neil, you apologising? You’ve been coming over all nice recently; shome mishtake, shurely?

  12. Canamalar

    It’s both ;-)

    Celtic Mac

I think we’ll leave it there and other posters can make their minds up.

  13. Philboy

Too many hurting huns on here.

We all know who they are … Looking up the numerous leagues at us dining at the top tables

  14. Doddsy…”2 great goals from Celtic,were not denying that,but”.

What reason would he have to deny it I wonder?

  15. BadaB

When all this crap was kicking off a couple of years ago, the hun thing, I posted time after time that we would be the ones who would be on the receiving end of pumped up hate, and it seems that I was right.

I even akined us to a Jewish team playing in Nazi Germany in the 30s, now that may well have been a tad OTT, but it wasn’t that far off the mark, they would see us all dead and gone if they thought they could get away with it.

We have to stand up to them, it’s a no brainer.

  16. Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire on

    Inversely,

I doubt there has been anyone apologised as much as me on here, it’s something I do when I find out I’m wrong :o) I’ve never had a problem with that.

However being wrong and having a different opinion are very different.

  17. MWD/TET

We all know it’ll be portrayed as ‘booing’ by the media if it’s highlighted by Celtic or anyone else.

We were right next to those responsible, it was racial abuse.

  18. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

    Magnus

Like you ,on Oz T.V.I heard Efe copping abuse.

When I heard Broony getting the same treatment,I wasn`t so concerned that racism was the reason.

  19. Celtic Mac

You are the one inferring sectarianism among the Celtic support. Hamiltontim asked you for evidence to support such serious allegations. It is not incumbent on him to answer your question.

    Put up or shut up.

  20. 19m shares ‘transferred over’ in happy clappy bonfire sale @ 1p. each to Chunkles and sanctioned by The Duffers, now worth approx. 80p.

No wonder he struts the Scottish football stage like a latter-day financial hitler.

He’s mugging everybody off and we’re supposed to just shrug our shoulders and laugh it off.

    Ah don’t effin’ think so.

  21. Celtic Mac,you have been asked a simple question by Hamiltontim and your answer has been to repeat the question .Have you proof of sectarian singing? Why have we not had the MSM all over this? It’s a cert they would be out like a flash if anything were amiss, so answer HMs. Question.

  22. HT

From what I heard on the betting site, where I watched the game, there was more than booing directed towards Efe, and I noticed that the crowd sound was turned down when the monkey chants started, they were not boo sounds, the were ooh sounds, quite a distinction.

Now, I give not a toss for what the media think or say, the club are duty bound to bring this up with the relevant powers, whether the powers or the media like it.
