Bizarre fantasy-rant from Miller

1206

Someone forwarded me the statement from US based Bill Miller which I read and ignored, thinking it was a wind-up.  Incredibly, it’s ““Real””.

Bill tells us he will invest £11.2m into the club and:

“There is no way that Ticketus would agree to accept a “pence on the pound.

“It is apparent that there will be several lawsuits that will emerge in relation to a potential CVA exit.

“In order to preserve the club’s history, records, championships and assets, I will put the “heart” of the club into an “incubator” company while Duff & Phelps works to make the “sick patient” healthy through a CVA process that effectively works to “radiate” the toxicity of past administrations’ sins out of the patient while the “healthy heart” is preserved and moves forward.”

The above is an actual quote.  I’m not even sure the pubs are open in America at this time of day.

But Bill, the “sick patient” owns the stadium, and as you suggest, a CVA would be prolonged.  Craig Whyte owns security over the stadium and your refusal to deal with him might make playing there…. awkward.  Any creditor, like HMRC or Whyte, could and perhaps would challenge a disposal of assets like the one you suggest.

He goes on:

“Any suggestion that Rangers history is lost by such a process is preposterous.

“Using such logic, Rangers would not actually have a 140-year history as its current corporate structure was only created in 1899. To suggest that Rangers thus have only a 113-year-old history is absurd.”

We’ve explained this one before.  Rangers were incorporated 113 years ago; “Real”.  The same entity, owning the same assets, existed pre-incorporation as an unincorporated football club.

Buying and selling history is almost as entertaining as buying the Eiffel Tower in cash off a guy in a Bellshill pub.  If it’s possible, I demand Celtic PLC get off their bums and buy the history of ancient Greece.

Bill adds:

“My offer is contingent upon the regulatory bodies agreeing that the club will begin play in the 2012/13 season in the SPL and that they will do so without any loss of points and with all historic titles intact.”

Ah, “contingent upon”.  A condition; just what Duff and Phelps asked to be excluded.  You’ve underplayed this one, Bill.  If the SPL will agree to this they will surely agree to give you a 10 point bonus next season, just for being so nice.

“The time for talk is over. The club is in serious jeopardy of dying. “Real” [sic]liquidation is looming.”

I like this guy.  He sounds like a “Real” level headed custodian for Rangers. Alas, I fear Duff and Phelps will be in sombre mood when next we hear from them.

Was there with Mrs Chaplin and my youngest son and his missus. I tried Twitter and CQN for a shout out but 3G was hopeless and the Openzone doesnt like me. Was a good atmosphere though and we stayed for a few Choons from the guy on guitar. Did you enjoy ?

Aye, that is what is bothering me as well.

Will Barca see the CL as the goal, will Real see the league as the goal, choices, choices.

    Prediction.

Real will win La Liga, they will lose the morra.

Bayern will win the CL, they will beat Barca in the final.

One debate that I look forward to resolving is the impact of no Huns on attendance at Scottish football.

I think the Huns will obviously improve 3 rd division numbers.

Celtic should be back to full capacity- constant titles and European football will ensure that.

The likes of Hearts and Kilmark have winning ambitions reborn.

    I feel crowds will increase?

One off games are difficult at the best of times, especially when the other team they are playing only have that game left in their season.

Neil has definitely made mistakes but in the League winning run he was making lots of good calls, under the most intense pressure.

The facts are we were cheated out of the 3 most recent crucial games, theres no other way to call it. These games were always going to be tight and the precision of the refereeing calls really hurt Celtic.

Next season, Neil will hopefully be given sufficient funds to bring in the more expensive commodity, experienced players, even if it is just 1 or 2.

Been doing 11 x bets lately (6 doubles, 4 trebles, 1 acc) based on who they are playing – all @ -2 goals; Celtic, Barca, Real and/or Man City – substitute one of them with; Southampton, Arsenal, Man Utd.

Been getting a double up most weeks (covers bet) – just been pipped by a few 2-0 or 3-1 results. Has potential in the run-in to decide titles.

    Thanks for your reply.

Beaten by Ross Co, Rangers, Killie

and Hearts. One win out of five in in one of games.

In each game i would suggest we got our team selection

    and tactics wrong.

Neil has the passion no doubt but has he the nous ?

Lenny has al the makings of a good manager, in time he may become a great manager. Right now he is learning under extreme personal pressure.

Football wise he’ll get an easier time in the next 3 years than has ever been afforded to any of his predecessors.

Thanks for your response and as I said before Neil has made mistakes lateIy but I definitely think he has got the nous because he turned around a lot of points, whilst competing well against good European teams, with a very young side.

There has perhaps been a misplaced arrogance in how good this team is so far in comparison to the rest of the SPL. I put this down to the youthful age of the squad.

I was really disappointed when Sammi was not in the team against Kilmarnock and was quite forthright in my comments about that but when Sammi played the next 2 big games he was very poor by his excellent standards this season. Sometimes things just don’t go for you.

I have a lot of faith in Neil himself really developing as a manager and learning to win a high % of Hampden games in the future. ;)

We are going to win the title for the next few years regardless.

Will our manager be able to make us compete in europe ?
