Bizarre fantasy-rant from Miller

1206

Someone forwarded me the statement from US based Bill Miller which I read and ignored, thinking it was a wind-up.  Incredibly, it’s ““Real””.

Bill tells us he will invest £11.2m into the club and:

“There is no way that Ticketus would agree to accept a “pence on the pound.

“It is apparent that there will be several lawsuits that will emerge in relation to a potential CVA exit.

“In order to preserve the club’s history, records, championships and assets, I will put the “heart” of the club into an “incubator” company while Duff & Phelps works to make the “sick patient” healthy through a CVA process that effectively works to “radiate” the toxicity of past administrations’ sins out of the patient while the “healthy heart” is preserved and moves forward.”

The above is an actual quote.  I’m not even sure the pubs are open in America at this time of day.

But Bill, the “sick patient” owns the stadium, and as you suggest, a CVA would be prolonged.  Craig Whyte owns security over the stadium and your refusal to deal with him might make playing there…. awkward.  Any creditor, like HMRC or Whyte, could and perhaps would challenge a disposal of assets like the one you suggest.

He goes on:

“Any suggestion that Rangers history is lost by such a process is preposterous.

“Using such logic, Rangers would not actually have a 140-year history as its current corporate structure was only created in 1899. To suggest that Rangers thus have only a 113-year-old history is absurd.”

We’ve explained this one before.  Rangers were incorporated 113 years ago; “Real”.  The same entity, owning the same assets, existed pre-incorporation as an unincorporated football club.

Buying and selling history is almost as entertaining as buying the Eiffel Tower in cash off a guy in a Bellshill pub.  If it’s possible, I demand Celtic PLC get off their bums and buy the history of ancient Greece.

Bill adds:

“My offer is contingent upon the regulatory bodies agreeing that the club will begin play in the 2012/13 season in the SPL and that they will do so without any loss of points and with all historic titles intact.”

Ah, “contingent upon”.  A condition; just what Duff and Phelps asked to be excluded.  You’ve underplayed this one, Bill.  If the SPL will agree to this they will surely agree to give you a 10 point bonus next season, just for being so nice.

“The time for talk is over. The club is in serious jeopardy of dying. “Real” [sic]liquidation is looming.”

I like this guy.  He sounds like a “Real” level headed custodian for Rangers. Alas, I fear Duff and Phelps will be in sombre mood when next we hear from them.

The 14th February was only 2 months ago but the comedy that has been RFC (IA) keeps giving.

Bill Miller is making a late run as candidate for “Funniest Actor” , with his incubator story , but I’d like to take a moment to recap on some of the highlights that had me , sitting in front of my laptop, reaching for the tissues to wipe away the tears rolling down my cheek.

In the first week or so , we had the Save Rangers campaign, or whatever it was called. This was pretty funny in its own right , in that it was an internet led campaign where Huns where asked to lodge “make believe” pledges of the amount that they would , perhaps , some day , maybe , maybe never , pay to help save their heroes. A ridiculous concept from the start. The night where almost every poster on this site made a pledge will live long in my memory . I genuinely was crying with laughter at some of the names being used with the pledges.

The Huns on realising that about 99% of the imaginary £11M they had “raised” in 24 Hours (this was actually reported in the MSM) decided to change tact and go with the Rangers Fans Fighting Fund (which I initially thought was to raise cash for trips to Manchester , and Barcelona in a trip down memory lane for the hordes). But no , this was serious stuff , and they even rolled out legends like Walter , and Sandy to direct the stupid Huns that the best way to save the club was to pledge some “Real” money this time , not like the Save Rangers flawed model. Walter and Sandy are candidates for “Funniest Supporting Actors” as they helpfully directed the Huns to part with their real cash to a Mr and Mrs Custard , who were now soon to be wealthy part time clowns.

We had the wonderful sight of Fat Sally’s assault on the English language with “We don’t do walking away” being turned into the slogan of the “peepil”, and being repeated endlessly by moronic Huns as they all did the opposite. This was shown by the Blue Knights , Bill Ng , Gregg Wylde, Mervan Celik , Gordon Smith who all walked away. Funnily enough , wee Whytey looks like the only Hun worth his word , as he certainly doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere.

I’ve picked on 3 highlights for myself , I’m sure you guys can add umpteen more , as there are so many it’s easy to forget.

Looks like it might be all over soon , here’s hoping the Liquidation brings as many laugh out loud moments as the most comical Administration in the history of UK business.

  12. Cannot remember who said it (I think it was Paul Murray at one point) you would need to be mad to put an offer in. Step up Mad ‘Max’ Miller!

On a more serious point the yank may have done everyone a favour because they all do have to ‘put up or shut up’ on Monday. If no one puts up then D&P have no going concern to sell therefore the big L.

If someone does put up then the circus goes on until the end of the season because D&P will have the non-refundable £500k to make ends meet until then.

Rumours going around that an insolvency firm has been sounded out to check it has no conflicts of interest down Ibrox way. Could this be that HMRC has voted against Resolution 2 recommending CVA at the creditors vote yesterday?

Would have expected D&P to have made some mention of that vote in statement last night even just to thank creditors for continued support etc if vote had fully gone their way.

Also hear that there is a hearing listed at High Court for Wednesday by D&P (TicketUs also represented) wonder what that is all about?

MSM know doubt asking these questions? No what a shock…..

  13. Although I think Feruz has selective memory problems he is, after all, only a 16 year old boy, ask most parents what dealing with a 16 year old is like, never mind one who thinks he is the next Messi. If he is still ranting this p@sh when he is 26 then he seriously needs to look at himself. Nobody on here knows what sort of comments are being made to him by his peers at the London huns. Time will tell.

  14. Morning guys! And gals!

Just for clarity on the Neuroblastoma treatment issue, when a child is diagnosed in the UK treatment is available and funded by the NHS. If treatment goes well, great. However if at some point the child relapses ie the Neuroblastoma returns unexpectedly (during or after treatment) then that is where we have a problem. Unfortunately there is no relapse protocol in the UK as the necessary drugs are unlicensed as yet. That is where the money must be raised for immunotherapy abroad. Wee Oscar is about half way through his treatment and so far so good. But that can change at anytime, next week, next month, next year, 10 years, and that would mean us having to go abroad too. We need to have a Neuroblastoma relapse protocol in the UK with all the necessary drugs licensed and made available.

That’s my understanding of it anyway.

    I wouldn’t be surprised.

    Not in the slightest.

  16. As regards L-Day, when the draw for the SPL split was announced I felt that it would be inevitable that the huns would be liquidated before the end of this month. Two away games in the SPL preceded by a weekend without a game meant no home games and, therefore, no revenue stream for a month!

I may be wrong but I don’t think our game against them will be played. Wouldn’t it be the greatest irony if the last act of the hun support before the demise of their undignified club was to give money to Celtic for a game that did not get played :-)))

    Hail! Hail! PMTYH

  17. Lets play pretend, just for a moment……

    Setting the scene.

You are a football agent. You have a client with Rangers. This client recently accepted a short term reduction in wages. Your client , was extremely reluctant to agree this. You persuaded him that this was an opportunity for enhanced remuneration. You would be able to “negotiate” a release clause at a hugely discounted figure.

This would enable you to get back your short term reduction in earnings , and not only that, you would get a 500% return as you would share in the saving your new club has made , because your fee has been reduced so much.

You have been able to deliver on your promise to your client. Duff & Phelps were in no position to resist. Your client is now in a better position than you could have hoped for, and thanks to a non questioning media, your client has been portrayed as a hero rather than the self serving opportunist he really is…….

So a complete home run, for player and agent

Now fast forward to next week……

The Blue Knights want to have a little chat. They are hoping to be named preferred bidders. Bill Miller doesn’t want a chat……he has no interest in your highly overpaid client. Miller may be wired to the moon when it comes to demanding a penalty free newco, however he can recognise an overpaid chancer when he see’s one.

So you , out of curiosity, tip up to Paul Murrays office for a chat. What does he have to sell you….

Your client is about to return to full wages, however crucially he retains the right to a reduced value transfer.

Q1 to Murray, will you be honouring my clients contract in full

    If yes

Q2 I want personal guarantees, as i dont believe you can pay full wages and provide a viable business plan. Will you and your consortium personally guarantee my clients wages

    If no

    Q3

There are no more questions, my client will be leaving as soon as we find a club acceptable to him, who will pay the reduced transfer fee, in fact we might pay it ourselves and instantly become free agents

    Back to Q1

If the answer is no, then fast forward to Q3

Now your client might be a dyed in the wool bluenose. He might be under friends and family pressure to stay at Rangers. You need to sit him down and explain the reality. You schedule a meeting where you will outline all of this.

I think, and I am no man to criticise anyone, that we never concentrated enough on Celtic as we entered the crucial stage of the season.

We have the main Trophy in the bag (most important thing after all we have been through) and we have months now to watch God tear down Satans footballing lair of deception.

Neil Lennon has many faults but All I see from this young man is a determination to be Truthful always. If that means going apeshit when Liars are being blatant, then he is Representing Celtic the way I want Celtic to be represented.

Can someone enlighten me regarding this ‘Feruz’ stuff.

Would I be correct in saying some would be ‘messi’ has taken it upon his lower intillectial intelligent to ‘tweet’ nonsense?

The boy (& family, while smelling the pound notes wafting in his facial orificices) made his own decision *cough*

Has he now ‘tweeted’ in a deregotory(sic) towards our great club?

  20. Good to see Duff & Phelps agreeing with me that Rangers as it stands don’t have enough cash to go until the end of the season although their belief they may last as far as early June looks optimistic given they need an additional between £1.5-2million over and above their expected income from the gate if their published accounts are anything to go by.

Where that £2million may come from?

£2 million it must be said that goes straight into Craig Whyte’s pocket

    a) £500,000 Wild Bill’s non-refundable deposit

    b) £400,000-ish Save Rangers fund

    c) Missing money from transfer fees (cough)

If you do an expected income v expected outgoings pro-rata based on D&P’s own figures, its possible that some time next week (Wednesday/Thursday) would be the time when cash = £0. That is an assumption based on no additional income coming in from unforeseen sources, e.g. Rangers own creditors.

That is not counting on the money coming in from either a or b, which in addition with gate money and other income would keep Rangers going for say 3-4 more weeks.

    Nice post Paul67

A couple (giggle) of things trouble me with the Bill Miller bid.

    1) With running costs at about £2.4 million per month, how much money will Wild Bill pay D&P over and above their current income as administrators to act as a go-between with the creditors and the inevitable fall out resulting from the creditors ‘backlash’?

    2) Wild Bill has said Ticketus (who have no real authority) will not accept a pence in the pound, what’s da view on HMRC’s (who have some influence on who pays tax in the country or so I believe anyway) willingness to accept a pence in the pound offer?

    3) Does Wild Bill really believe the way to tell all of your creditors is to accept a pence in the pound offer or else, is to issue a press release detailing you intend to dodge every liability with the same brazen outlook as the current owner who himself has been deemed a person not fit-for-purpose?

    4) Do the SFA deem Wild Bill not fit for purpose?

  21. Top of the morning to you all from a still and sunny Fife.

Saturday mornings are special. If I am lucky I awake to the smell of coffee percolating and bacon frying.

But these last few weeks the smell that really gets my juices going in the morning is the sweet smell of success. Our, Celtic team led by Neil Lennon winning despite all that the cheats can throw at us.

This smell can only be bettered by one perfume that nothing else in the world can match.

    What is it you ask?

Well said. I will be posting a letter off as per your request.

I have sympathy for all people who are living with diseases that either debilitate them for life or are terminal. But sadly it is impossible for individuals like you to help them all.

IMO Successive governments have created a society where Charity has become a major economic industry. At the end of the day it is another government stealth tax that has saved successive governments 1000’s of billions since the late 70’s. Without charity IMO governments and countries today would be brought to their knees due to their created and manipulated reliance on charitable giving.

Charitable giving affords Governments the opportunity to spend money propping up the arms industry, dictators they like and going to war with those they used to like but don’t anymore.

Sometimes, if this were possible (which it is not) as to many would suffer, I would like to see the country cope for one calandar year without a reliance on charitable giving. I don’t think the government of the time would last long no matter it’s political persuasion.

Sadly we have to pick and choose our causes as it is impossible to help everyone.

    MWD

  23. So, here’s what I think has happened.

Initially there were four bidders. The Blue Knights rode in to save the day bit gave up and stepped back. Brian Kennedy made a bid even though he didn’t want to bid but his bid was rejected and he walked away. Bill Ng was then the man until he too walked away. Brian Kennedy made another bid even though he still didn’t want to bid and was rejected again. That leaves Bill Miller with his mad proposals as the only bidder.

Unless Brian Kennedy, who still really doesn’t want to bid, bids with the Blue Knights who might step forward again over the weekend. But if they walk away then Bill Miller and his incubator will go ahead from Monday. Unless it all falls apart and he rides away in his tow truck. And then the liquidators will ride in with their big liquidator.

    Everyone clear?

  24. So ye’ve got Brian kennedy, Bill ng, Blue knights, Bill miller all Buzzing around.

  25. All those attacking young Feruz ask yourselves the following questions

Do you post on CQN in glowing terms about teams/players from the EPL, or the EBT league, if you think the cheats league is so glamorous then you can hardly blame a 16 yr old for wanting to go to Chelsea, its the place to be innit?

If TB was here today im not sure he would be enjoying posts with personal attacks on a 16 yr old whose family TB helped

  26. Bad night, head all screwed up, so apologies if this comes across as sheugh……but

I know this is going to get me pelters and even labelled with the mark of the Devil……but Islam Feruz and his Chelsea connection reminded me of a marvellous day out at Stamford Bridge. Without any shadow of a doubt the best burgers in the world are sold there; burgers that taste of sump oil but bring love and the patter of tiny feet into your life.

Admittedly I had been on the razzle for five days and nothing more solid than the soggy corner of a beer soaked coaster sprinkled with salt had passed my lips, but as I approached the ground for a game against West Ham, the smell of grease, burnt cow (or cat possibly), onions and jellied eels acted like a magnet to taste buds.

I had two burgers outside the ground and took another two in for a snack, which I snaffled before the game even started. Fortunately they sold booze in the grounds in those days and a couple of pints of Stella later I was ready for ‘afters’.

The drink gets to you at times like this and standing behind the goals cheering on west ham I nearly got the afters I didn’t want. Fortunately the bloke I was with told the heaving mass of troglodytes that being out in the light was affecting their eyes and ears, and anyway I was a demented ‘sweaty’ who liked burgers and Stella. Admiration is the only word possible to describe how they looked on me.

At half time someone came back with another two burgers and two pints of stella for me. They watched in awe as I gorged myself ever close to an attack of fatty globules.

After the game, I went to a burger shop wher I was able to order an ambulance while my soggy meat patty was readied.

Life support helped as did the nurse who ministered to my needs by Kneading my pain away. A few months after I got out of hospital having proposed to my her who sneaked burgers and Guinness in for me, I came across salad.

My life has changed beyond all recognition. I now have gherkins on my burgers. Me and my nurse occasionally go back to Stamford Bridge just to have a nostalgic burger or two and ponder how things would have been so different if we had known about statins, saturated fats and quorn.

Sadly all I have are the memories. The burger vans are silent now….it’s all pizza and tacos…..with little commemorative crosses, and personal mementoes of polystyrene cartons and vodka bottles left in remembrance marking the places where so many sacrificed their cholesterol levels for the pleasure of a sclerotic seizure. A cold wind now blows through the Stella stalls and all that’s left is a bad taste.

Islam has brought that bad taste back a thousand-fold.

So no burgers anymore, no Stella, no point but most of all as Islam has demonstrated ….NO CLASS.

    That is sad.

Anyway square sausage, bacon, eggs, tattie scone and beans with mustard, Worcestershire sauce and reggae reggae dip calls.

“You can stick yer Chelsea Burgers up yer …..nurse….. nurse………aaaagggghhh”

    hail hail
