Boot on the other foot for a change

601

For years we worried of the consequences an away trip in Europe would do to our weekend performance.  The boot is on the other foot now.  Hearts head to Celtic Park on Sunday after returning from Switzerland in the early hours of this morning.

Their result against Zurich was perfect: a narrow defeat keeps the tie alive; manager Robbie Neilson will be alert to the possibility of delivering Europa League football with a sold home win on Thursday.  Do not underestimate the emotional and physical strain put on the Hearts players as a result of last night’s game.  I am feeling unusually confident about Sunday.

There is a similar story at play with another Glasgow-Edinburgh fixture this weekend.  Hibs host Newco, who are between European qualifiers.  Hibs, like Celtic, don’t need to bother about these games.

Newco’s next six league games include visits to Hibs, Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts.  This run will expose whatever weaknesses exist in their squad.  Celtic have their own business to take care of, and we will be in the middle of Champions League group stage exertions during this period, but, the opportunity is there to build a clear lead in the title race.

Celtic40me – re earlier chat share acquisition by small shareholders ….

… I’d expect the majority of that 13% to be shares already issued being bought from existing shareholders.

The notion of buying a share when buying a season ticket is partly symbolic.

50,000 new shares purchased this way wouldn’t make a dent in existing holdings.

Very low risk / impact to the big players.

We do have the option of buying

Talking of bad “posters”, I was driving through paisley on Wednesday and saw Sky have new poster campaign . The caption is of the Old firms goal last season at Celtic Park(don’t recognise the hun in the foto or think he’s still there)

In Greenock yesterday and saw same poster. Take it Sky have a Celtic version in other places in Scotland ?

    Anybody ?

  3. itscalledthemalvinas on

The paisley poster is high up on a tenement building on the Glasgow road, the Greenock one is near the garage with the most expensive fuel in Scotland near Inverclyde Academy which from my view on a passing bus is within paint throwing distance.

    Just saying like.

    Just to be clear,not the school is within paint throwing distance, the other two. . . . . . . . .

We do have the option of buying shares in the open market

    “““““`

Buy as many shares as you like – you’ll not reach positions of power as PLC will continue to move the goalposts to keep you at the back of the bus – the PLC bus.

Buying shares is buying into the PLC game that you’ll never be allowed to win.

Before you buy anything from CELTIC – go to sentinelcelts.com – and ask for, THE LIONS ROAR.

TLR has an interesting insight to CELTIC’S finances that isn’t being made available to shareholders, season ticket holders, etc, that might astound you at first but the picture becomes more clear, dependant on how many of his posts are allowed to stand before the cowardly blog administrators start to delete TLR`s posts?

Maybe SC blog might be kind enough to allow yourself and TLR to exchange emails, then you might be kind enough to divulge your findings to us on here?

At the end of the day, what would be the point in Celtic fan blogs helping the PLC to rob fans blind by doing the pro OLDFIRM PLC`s dirty work for them, by concealing corruption?

In a world full of liars – who can we trust?

Hope you’re well, you’ve never raised my moniker before must be my lucky night, so forgive me for picking my favourite one of yours.

I have posted about Sevco the same club myth ad nauseum since Thomthethim and one or two other better posters said well over a decade ago on these pages that the deed was done, anything else was too late after Green and McCoist got their hands via Hampden, on the spare licence and headed back to Govan.

We are both common men, I accept that Celtic custodians and that’s all they are, even though they are too well paid even in the modern world, do what they think is best for Celtic? Ironically, I agree with your lassooed £49.00 / £52.00 @ Bada Bing updated premise.

But you should have came with the rest of us since, if it had been you or I , since 2012 we’d be letting huns in, free gratis and for nothing, we’d sing jelly and ice cream and put in the match programme how much we anticipated playing the new club.

How would that have served Celtic in this country of Scotland or been viewed by worldwide observers? When we’re all long gone and Celtic are still here vibrant, healthy, single historied and supported is all that really matters. It’s only a game of football, it’s not sectarian or a war, it’s Celtic.

In the meantime allow us to wallow in the joy of Celtic.

Another KEVJUNGLE enthusiast, good for you, pity you didn’t help Kev back in the day with his whistle blowing?

Maybe momentum would’ve gathered pace if that had happened regarding the dodgy ticket issue?

But there was no momentum, coz so called good bhoys & ghirls said nothing ?

    Why would that be?

Was suppressing KEVJUNGLE`s one man band whistleblowing, more important than removing dodgy people from Celtic executive?

The dodgy people are still on the executive today – increasing the grift – laughing up their cuffs at so called good folk.

If suppressing the JUNGLE guy was more important than stopping the PLC ticket scam screwing supporters, than this mentality if its widespread then it was CELTIC who died in 2012.

If it was, then 6 years down the road from the £49:00 grift, what corruption is going on is because of so called good men like you and plenty of others on here and other sleekit hangouts, NOT because of KEVJUNGLE, who might’ve been a pain in the ass, but he was correct about this.

It looks like CELTIC is a club with 53,000 faces?

When is the point were enough is enough? £55:00? £60:00?

CELTIC is the club that died in 2012 – because its PLC is financed by the CGAF brigade.
