Celtic should accept Wilson ban offer

1201

Celtic should accept the offer of a two match ban for Kelvin Wilson following an incident at Dens Park on Boxing Day.  He has never been an aggressive player, so there is no need to assume intent, but an elbow to the face is a painful experience and potentially dangerous.  These are the rules and they are there for good reason.

Am I right in saying that Celtic do not appear live on ESPN or SKY or BBC until February now ?

If so maybe that helps to explain the belligerent scheduling ?

Neil, IMO, got the better of Barcelona whilst playing attacking football. I like Sir Furious, I always have because he gets his teams to play attacking football.

Sir Furious isnae daft. Celtic are now starting to rock the World of Football and it is for a specific reason.

As per my moniker, there is no doubt that, in any liquidation, the assets are sold and the monies procured are divided amongst the creditors ….. It really is incredible that the zombie assets have not been seized by BDO, and it is a major indication as to just what is going on here ……… I hope the right people are closely monitoring developments on this element of the wind-up process…

Haven’t read back yet but trust that Celtic are appealing against the media-driven 2 match ban Kelvin unjustly received….

Or kills you if you are forced into something with such a condition. Flu is easily attributed these days, like a lot of things.

I like the look of your line up. I can see us winning by 4 or 5 goals today, the +2 goals market for individual betters must look pretty good. The over 4.5 goals for accumulators will take conservative betting lines well into the have a “Happy New Year” territory.

  10. For those if a gambling bent, sky bet are giving free money away every week when you open an account. Tender to start, fiver a week thereafter. Good offer!

Also, if you have a bet 365 account and refer a friend, both of you get £25. Again, worth checking out.

    Tough coupon today btw.

  11. good morning all,

been offline for a while and come back to see Kelvin wilson ‘offered’ a 2 game ban!!!

    WTF???

watching the game on tv it was very clearly a case of the dundee player grabbing kelvins arm and trying to drag him back to gain an advantage and therefore committing a foul,

what is kelvin supposed to do?step aside and say go ahead!!! no, he tried to get his arm free and accidentally hit the guy in the face. Unfortunate but clearly an accident.

At half time as the players left the pitch you could clearly see kelvin say to the dundee player “you were pulling my arm” and the dundee player has stated it was accidental and admitted that he was committing a foul

How many times did craigan tell the viewing public that kelvin wilson would get a ban?

    trial by media!!!

And now they are trying to destroy the Club they detest (for bigoted reasons), with no consideration ofvthe effect this would have on Scottish Football ……… but we are not going to ‘go away’ ………!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    allright bud,

watching Alba coverage with Gaelic commentary is a wee secret joy.

no transaltion required, last weeks highlights included the gem of

    Hooper, Brown to Seamus Forrest.

makes much more sense that Burley , Craigan and co.

  18. Fat Sally demands the public naming of those repeatedly denying the Loyal Cardigan a well deserved Knighthood.

Mind you, I am beginning to wonder at the precise reasons for this repeated oversight of his services rendered to Scottish Football.

It could well be that the Cardigan, in best Ibrox tradition, has snubbed the Queen by being offered, and turned down a Knighthood.

  19. Enjoy the game those who are going

Be careful plod will be right up for this …any excuse and you’ll get lifted

  20. Pleased that Celtic are contesting the Kelvin kangaroo Court decision. Are the “Honours” list out? Did Craigy Boy make it, I’ll be gutted if he didn’t. Another Appeal on the cards.

  21. When Neil played against Dundee at Dens Park he was roundly booed everytime he touched the ball. This was because he had peroxide hair that used to be ginger and he was in the faces of opposition players (he tackled them)…that’s all, nothing else, religion? don’t be daft… etc etc (msm)

Efe was constantly booed too at Dens Park; it must be his hair and his tackling too then.

Four arrests at Dens Park and no mention of any racist incidents, doesn’t fit their agenda. Racist Scum !

  22. A caller to Clyde last night very cleverly brought in the booing of Effe.

Wondered if panel had heard it, to which they said no (of course) but he slipped in he he hoped it was not for racist reasons.

Rush to condemn if it was but stayed in neutral. The point being there are clever ways of making a point and stupid ones.

    This guy was clever.

  23. Auldheid

I’m for highlighting racism and condemning it, never mind being clever on Clyde, that isn’t much of a challenge on there; my point is that everything seems to have been forensically examined about our trip to Dens and this is ignored.

  25. Regarding Effe booing at dundee, Heard it, bro and nephew thought he must have said something in the papers (try not to buy) or maybe we missed an incident, but it is weard that everyone heard it, but the people who are paid to observe football matches and comment on events, apparently on and off the field, when you think about the publicity given to some trouble in the celtic end, just saying like!!!!!!!!!!

p.s i would have liked the club to bring up concerns about the treatment of our player by a large element of the dundee support, the anti-catholic singing and the need to clean up scottish footballs image. when i was younger the saying when: ‘sticks and stones will break yor bones, but names will never hurt you’, we know that is a stupid saying and i would be more concend about racism in the ground than a few drunking supporters acting like drunken supporters and causing physical damage to property.
