Celtic effortlessly disposed of newly promoted Kilmarnock on their dry plastic pitch yesterday.  Three goals up at halftime, the outcome was beyond doubt when Jota unleashed a spectacular effort from long range on 35 minutes, adding to the early strike from Kyogo.

If I was being picky……. We looked vastly better when Liel Abada, Giorgos Giakoumakis Aaron Mooy arrived on 66 minutes.  This could be because Kilmarnock were tiring, but I think this suggestion underplays the impact the change had in allowing Callum McGregor to move forward, Giorgos to disrupt his opponents and Liel to turn defenders.

Earlier in the game possession was lost carelessly, allowing Kilmarnock to get into the final third, a scenario that stopped abruptly at the triple substitution.  We are playing well and winning games, but Ange has some big selection decisions to make if he is to collect 6 points in the next two games.

    Well apparently you can get things to stop by just laughing at them

     

     

    With that in mind, if we could just improve our dysfunctional midfield by the deployment of under-used and under-appreciated pundit poster wisdom, we might see the end of us scaring through games by only 5 goals to nil.

     

     

    Time to deploy the Master of Growth Agenda, deployment of DM’s against teams that never cross into our half, and a wee bit of casual misogyny thrown in for good measure.

    I would be suprised in any young players are just left to their own devices with no baby-sitting or placements together by the club,

     

     

    duty of care and all that.

     

     

    I was suprised to learn of Teirney sharing a house with another arsenal employee, and it was a great help when he moved down because he did experience home sickness.

    I don’t know either way but I would expect the Club would have some Buddy system for young Foreign Players, if not they would be asking for trouble,

     

     

    Imagine any one of us aged 21 landed in a City on the other side of the Globe, planked into a Hotel, Language difficulties, Home Sick, A Bank Account bursting with new riches, When training is over and you are back in your Hotel Room what the Hell are you going to do,

     

     

    In this case, it’s wait & see,

     

    Hopefully the kid can recover from this and go on & become a star for us.

    After Styllian Petrov was brought to Celtic as a young man, he was very much left to his own devices. Living in a hotel room, not knowing a word of English and utterly friendless, he suffered loneliness, homesickness and depression.

     

     

    Only when Martin O’Neill arrived and discovered his predicament did Celtic do something about it and since then, the club has had measures in place to help players arriving from abroad to settle and they also provide the services of an interpreter.

     

     

    There is absolutely no way Bernabei has been left to get on with it on his own. We know nothing more than that he has been charged with drink driving. We don’t know if he was on his own or with a friend or another player.

     

     

    Too many people are guessing and jumping to conclusions. It’s that old busybody nonsense – if you don’t know, make it up.
