  1. Proud of the team and especially the fans tonight

Izzy seems to be done and Armstrong and McGregor tried but are just not good enough at this level

A couple of quality signings and we will be getting there

  2. Neymar is just a wee jobby. An absolute shit. Apart from those attributes, he might be a wee shoite!

  3. Canamalar- legitimising cheating is what they do. I’d love to hear them say someone giving neymar a good hard boot in the gonads is ‘intelligent’ because it might put manners on him. I’d maybe trade that for the ‘winning’ penalties BS.

No disgrace Celtic. Team and supporters can hold their heads high and as for Sevco fans laughing at us……

  5. 30 odd million in the bank. That will do this year. Now with no European games after City,we can concentrate on the treble.A win on sunday leaves us one competition to win.that will be some first season for BR.And me.

I don’t think it;s who are good enough, it’s IMO who can fit into the jigsaw, to build a team is a massive task, players who some think are crap fit into teams big time, tonight is a perfect example, Turkeybhoy thinks Calum was pish, I didn’t, I thought he fitted into what Brendan asked for, That is not a critisism TB, just my opinion, I trust Brendan to get the pieces sorted, he knows who will fit and who won’t, I hope the suits release the funds, more CL nights are whats wanted.

  7. Time to put an end to the love in with Barearselorna. Good team but shower of cheating C U Next Tuesday’s.

What the fcuk is the piping their team bus in all about.

Get a grip. They are more than a club than the Huns. FcUK them.

    Half decent performance.

McGregor and Armstrong not got it for this level. Izzie is done at this level too but decent cover domestically.

Great save from Gordon but his main weakness is still near post shots.

Onwards and upward and we’ll only get better with the next couple of transfer windows.

Biton contributed nothing when he came on so how could he have made a difference starting?

He mostly missed tackles and hit the odd sideways pass in his time on the pitch.

I posted during the Rogic substitution that Biton was not a positive player so was not in favor.

In one passage of play my opinion was confirmed.

We had the ball just outside their area and he received a pass and immediately passed it to the side to a player who was marked he receive ball again and again gave a sideways pass to a man under pressure on receiving the ball again he turned backwards and passed it backwards and it ended up at our goalie.

He never had his head up at any point so has no great field awareness.

He is not a player who makes positive things happen.

    No need to feel downhearted.

There’s been a remarkable turn around with Brendan.

A couple of signings to improve midfield and we will progress next season.

I think Armstrong is developing with Brendan and can provide a solid creative platform with Captain Courageous.

    The future is bright.”

The future is bright? Gubbed again by a team of tax cheats that kicked our players across the park with impunity and have the debt of a small nation. Rules coming in to effect for European football that gives them an even bigger advantage and slice of the pie while their disproportionate television funding takes them further and further out of our reach.

    Yeah, everything is hunky dory..

  10. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    RT,

I would have been happy for Lustig to take a red tonight as long as he caused serious damage to Naymar that took him out the game for a few months. Intelligent ply or cheating depends on your perspective apparently.

  11. Posted this on the end of the last article by mistake

Hello mate funnily enough I was over in the retail park on sat morning and I was in m&s to get the kids their pizzas and chicken wings so every possibility you did walk past me. If you passed someone in a Leinster rugby jersey it was moi. I stay in kirky but have been in Quinn’s on two occasions before never been in the crow….yet.

Don’t think I have ever shouted at the screen as much as I did tonight………first when I seen mcgregor starting, I like the bhoy but decision making is hit and miss and his big chance tonight was a hit and a miss. He just doesn’t do enough in the bigger games against the better teams. Hope SS is not out for long reporting a hamstring injury when it looked like an ankle knock. Oh well upwards and onwards.and still proud to have the green and white upon my chest.

  12. Dietmar Hamman described Suarez as “clever” in winning the penalty and that izzy shouldn’t have had his hand in a position to be grabbed, the tube Dunphy agreed Liam Brady agreed it was a foul and then followed up by saying “to Celtic”.

We played as well as we could tonight, we had chances but the gulf in class told.

What galls me is that players like Neymar and Suarez have all the talent and ability in the world so it is just a character defect which brings out the cheating in their game, which is desperately sad for them. We are are Celtic and they will never know that joy.

  13. VFR: Supplementary question about the Fans’ Experience:

How much of the CL income will be spent on the fans’ café beside the Superstore, the Celtic museum & Melbourne Mick’s Celtic shop in Australia’s biggest mall?

  15. CANAMALAR IT LOOKS LIKE OCD OBSESSION on 23RD NOVEMBER 2016 10:08 PM

    RT,

    ——————————–

Said the same thing tonight worth taking a red card for that illegally transferred tax cheating no mark but in hindsight he’s not worth it.

  16. Cannot fault the Team for effort and commitment tonight. Yes we’re weak – maybe deficient in a few areas but there’s a ‘makings’ of a competitive Euro side there.

Take the Man City home game + B. Munchen away game + tonight v Barca and stitch those 3 performances together and we maybe (just maybe) be on the road to being a dangerous (wild card) team in Europe next season.

    Deal me in!

  17. Neymar embarrassed himself again. Will never be in the same league as Messi because of his cheating.

Celtic played well until 2-0. Heads down at that point.

However really proud of them. Huge progress has been made.

Brendan needs to be sure we are mentally fired up for Sunday. All guns blazing needed for the final.

Hoping there are two or three more Kieran Tierney’s coming through for next season from the youngsters.

  18. Broody and Erik were immense. 2 standouts who proved they have what it takes at this level.

Jozo looked rusty to me. I ain’t gona slate the guy for that. Not his best night particularly 1st half.

But that triangle of right centre back, right back (Lustig), and right mid Mcregor. That triangle were all at sea first half. Ball watching and slow to react.

As for those hounding Armstrong….not everything came off for the guy. Done some good stuff, and made some mistakes. I wouldn’t be ruling him out though. He’ll learn a lot from this Champs league campaign.

  19. I’m generally a pacifist but for some individuals I might make an exception and go for a proportionate strategic skelp

Older relatives tell me that Sean fallon as a player was a fine proponent of the art of dishing out a discreet but severe ‘dull one’ to deserving recipients!

  20. No love in from Barca from me, they cheat more than most teams we have played against. Another poor ref in Europe afraid to book the big team.

Proud of all our boys tonight. Brown was a titan.

  21. Just looking at the Rectums points for players, and this popped up,

Rangers star Harry Forrester can go and do ANYTHING he wants if he’s given the chance says Rob Jones,

Yep.plumber,White Van man,Mc Donalds cleaner. The world is at his feet.

  22. Ruggy – I thought Armstrong, a few misplaced passes aside, was one of our best players. Really brace on the ball, went past a few players, showed for the ball and ran himself in to the ground. I think he’s turning in to a really good centre mid for us.

  23. Messi was on another planet, in the first half particularly. Absolutely stunning.

Brown did very well as did a few others. Some others less so.

Much to learn going forward. Certainly 3 or 4 quality additions needed to make an impact at this level. But that’s for another day.

  24. ALMORE

Don’t know if you got my post the other day but i’ve spoken

to Dr Mark and hope to see him at our Christmas BBQ before

he comes home to you and your good lady.

I.ve already asked the Question about any Celtic investment in

Oz through our CQN Q&A so it’s wait and see.

There’s no place for negativity tonight.

We have a great manager who has improved the players he inherited.

He has also made a couple of shrewd signings.

Given funds over New Year he can add some impact players and have time to shape them into a force before next year’s CL qualifying ties.

Personally, I’m not downhearted about tonight.

I think with some strengthening we can make a real push in the CL next season.

  26. I dont get all this ‘hate them coz they cheat’ stuff ….

    1. Like it or not, Its the game nowadays. I just wish our players had enough skill to be that cute ….

    2. Brown was an hour late on his first tackle of the game …. if they had done that to a celtic player, we’d have been screaming for blood …. but not one comment on it. Sauce for the goose ….

    3. They weren’t close to their best tonight, and they were still a great team to watch. they way they poured forward when they won the ball was a joy to watch…

Hopefully we learned something this year, and will be back (and a bit cuter) next year.

And, yes, they may be tax cheats, but at least Barca’s Board had the stones to stick up for the Barca fans when they tried to take away the Catalan flags. More than our Board has done.

I’m not saying they are perfect … they aren’t the same team they were a few years ago, or the club they used to be, but as far as football clubs go, I still like Barca.

Having said that, I, too, wouldn’t be too upset if someone gave Neymar a good kick in the nuts.
