    just in from the game……..bloody freezin had the full cycling thermal kit on underneath. Anywho, i didn’t think we would get much out of the game but this time we did show up. I have to admit i lost a lot of respect for barca tonight their behaviour quite frankly was pathetic!!. On a different note my old uncle, who i sit beside and have done more or less since i was 5 (i’m now in my late 50’s lol) has finally left the east end to see out his years in Gourock, is looking to join a supporters bus to take him to his beloved Celtic. i think he mentioned somewhere near the victoria/kempock bar. Any ideas?.

    Suarez bought his penalty. Cute or not It’s still cheating.

     

     

    Neymar has nae class.

     

     

    Armstrong has only held current midfield role for a couple of games so needs time to learn role. Will have learned a lot tonight.

     

     

    Ref lost control imo.. shat it is another.

    I used to get annoyed at Aiden McGeady when he used to fall down after being tackled and throw his hands in the air, I can’t imagine watching a team week in and week out doing the same.

     

     

    Regardless of what Neymar achieves in football he will never be respected…

    I only mentioned Biton because he was all that was available.Even so,he is a class above Mc Gregor.Sorry,Exiled Tim,I just did not see him do anything tonight.Out of his class,but as I said,not the boys fault.His chance to score,when Barca ballsed up,he shit himself.Done the same against BMG.OK for SPL.

    TET just back from the game, I am with you, the Bhoys played as well as the could have, goals change games, if the Big fellow takes his chance with header, before the penalty anything could happen, but thought they were playing within themselves,however we got a bit of respect back. No thanks to the Hun with the whistle, Neymar is ah A******e and should have got a Red for his treatment on Lustig, also my love of Barca has diminished Messi included ,with his play acting in the first half. Onwards and upwards players have progressed, having learned, as well as Brendan, some changes will be made, with the next CL campaign in mind am sure.

    Izzy made a few poor decisions but Izzy is still Izzy, but we now realise how good Kieran is, maybe Izzy was just trying too hard……it must be an easy shift against those lazy Barca forwards :-)

    Proud our Bhoys’ efforts tonight. In terms of shots at goal and on target, and the number of corners won, we weren’t actually that far behind the best team in the world. I can’t say the same for Paul’s new look CQN, which I now find almost unusable due to the constant appearance of adverts and the effects of this annoying intrusion into my use of the site. I have a cordless keyboard, and it constantly misses letters that I have typed, presumably of the prioritisation of adverts ahead of picking up and processing my input. Thus I have to type my posts into Word and then copy them onto the blog… and to be honest, I really can’t be Arsenaled.

     

     

    Sort it out please Paul. It is ruining my (and I am sure others’) enjoyment of the site!

    Its not a penalty until Izzy shows a bit of stupidity by throwing his leg in.Ones got a jersey,the other has an arm.One of those things,but it was a penalty,IMO.

    BR did not think it was a penalty said Suarez is good at grabbing the opponent and making it look as if he is pulled down, hope when we get back to the CL we do not play either Barcelona or Juventus , no time for them.

    Agree pretty much 100%, we are where we are, we will get better under Brendan, we could get there if the suits are on the same wave length, all it takes is a leap of faith and for them to spend a few bob, if they don’t they don’t, am still happy :-)

    Anyway lads,thats it.Lets get behind the team now.We know BR will improve the team,and hopefully next year we will see a more BR team.The improvement has been phenomenal under BR,and I think it will improve.

     

    Forget the SMSM crap that Europe defines our season.When we have 30 million in the bank,and the treble in the cabinet,our season will be well defined.

     

    Fantastic.

    Strange atmosphere, we fans in the main didn’t really get up for it, we must do more!

    I am not comparing Mc Gregor to anyone.As I said,its not the boys fault.If BR gets his targets,you wont see him in this company next season.He struggles to get into the team in the SPL.He can get by there.

    Team did well tonight. 49% possession must be a revord for us in the nou firm derby. We were only ever going to get 2 or 3 chances and had to take them. We didnt. Broony was immense. Neymar’s a nyaff and hope he enjoys his jail term. Maybe he was trying to get booked to miss a meaningless game. Pity day 6 is meaningless. Would gave fancied us to get something down there

    Back from the game in time to catch the highlights there.

     

     

    When you play Barca they can create 26 chances or you can restrict them to around 6 good ones. We achieved that tonight and, with a better header, might have got a shock result.

     

     

    It was not vintage Barca but that was down to our organisation and effort. We are a much improved team but we were in a group where 0 points was a possibility so our couple of points were hard earned. We now need to kick on from here and ensure that, if we lose Moussa, we do not go backwards.

     

     

    That means keeping Sinclair for one more season at least and recruiting to add more midfield support to Scott Brown, who , again. led by example.

     

     

    No need for scapegoats. Izzy got caught wrong side and he reached around Suarez. Suarez was clever enough to trap Izzy’s left arm, preventing him from withdrawing it and making the contact look very obvious. The Italian ref let a lot go but that was not the reason we lost.

     

     

    Barca press hard but also, barge pull and push to win possession. They “read” this referee and played to the limit but, as I said, we lost because Barca was better.

     

     

    Out of Europe for another season- We have to lick our wounds and start back on domestic domination this Sunday

    He showed for the ball and was brave in possession . We have a player there and it is another of Brendan’s successes.

     

     

    Another is the general fitness level of the team.

     

     

    I don’t think Sinclair will make the final, but Griffiths may be available.

     

     

    It’s all about our powers of recovery.
