  1. Apologies to Jobo Baldie. Sorry just back in and only briefly. The article re: Season Tickets increase for Celtic and many others is in this morning Scottish Sunday Mail.

  2. Thanks. Would be a surprise to let Wilson go as he has been magnificent for Celtic.

I am sure that many people will agree with your ‘ locked ward’ diagnosis, Doctor Lynch.

I have little doubt that it’s an area you are well placed to comment on & far more experienced in it than myself.

Transfer rumor of the day .

Last I heard , the Di Maria and Coentrao bit had been dropped . Said to be a straightforward ” one euro more than we paid for Ronaldo ” offer and a salary of 9 million a year to bale..

is that what you’re asking me?’

No. I making the point that no one supports Celtic because of the state of the balance sheet, the business acumen of the directors or the Board’s financial strategy going forward.

  9. There’s no way we’d sell Kelvin Wilson with a CL qualifier on Wednesday. Lenny has already said he is going nowhere, and even if he was leaving why would he go back and play for the little rodent who froze him out of the game for 6 months prior to joining us.

Just as a matter of interest then, how many Celtic supporters are in fact huns, albeit they might be too dim to realise it?

‘There’s no way we’d sell Kelvin Wilson with a CL qualifier on Wednesday.’

The facts tell a different story. We’ve sold our best goalscorer 5 days before a crucial CL qualifier.

The DD statement is conflicts with the kind of thinking that is attributed to DD.

Given money is his God according to some and given that he is making more money in share value in Rangers absence why does he want them back?

It does not make sense of his statement but here is something that does and fits in perfectly well with how he is being portayed by folk unwilling to re-examine their core belief.

The alternative conclusion is DD was telling the DR what they wanted to hear.

It is either that or he is not an astute business man or worse someone who has a liking for Rangers that exceeds his liking for profit

Now which of these is the more likely?

My reason tells me what he told the DR and what he really thinks are two different things.

Not for the fee quoted of around £1.5m. He still has 2 years left on his contract and has had an outstanding season. He should not be leaving for less than £5m.

Totally different to the hooper situation where he was in the final year of his contract and the money on offer was extremely good. Big Vic, well that money was too good to turn down for 1 player who cost a fraction of the sale price.

  21. Cannot conceive we would even contemplate for a second selling our most consistent defender last season, especially with important CL games coming up.

But wait, we already did that with our best midfielder & best striker.

Worrying times, must be Bug Fraser next.

Like many on here I have been a Celtic Supporter for 50 years. I have been privileged to witness so many incredible things. I have been privileged to see so many great players play in the hoops.

I was recently asked to name my favourite five players that I had actually seen playing for Celtic. I don’t know why but I didn’t have to think too much. Their names just rattled off.

Jimmy Johnstone, Bertie Auld, Bobby Murdoch, Shunsuke Nakamura, Henrik Larsson.

Kenny Daglish, Davie Hay, Tommy Burns, Ronnie Simpson, Paul McStay.

Lubo Moravcik, Paul Elliot, Danny McGrain, John Clark, Joe McBride.

George Connelly, Pat Stanton, Alfie Conn, Chris Sutton, John Hartson

Bobby Lennox, Davie Provan, Johnny Doyle, Pat Bonner, Tom Boyd.

Neil Lennon, Tom Boyd, Pierre Van Hooijdonk, Lou Macari, Jorge Cadete.

Willie Wallace, Bobo Balde, Artur Boruc, Jackie McNamarra,, Allan Stubbs.

Roy Aitken, Tommy Gemmell, Steve Murray, Aiden McGeady, Scott Brown.

Then I had to stop to catch a breath only to notice that my mate had fecked off before I’d even gotten into my stride and there was me going to put them all into order for him too.

  27. So far today we’ve had a poster who chooses to believe that a direct quote from The Great Desmondo in fact represents the opposite of what he believes and another who claims that a number of Celtic supporters with whom he disagrees, while they may think of themselves as Celtic supporters, are in fact huns.
